The Albert Thomas Post Office has had a professional theft ring working there for many years. Checks get stolen, washed and cashed, packages and gift cards stolen, IRS refund checks stolen. Bad employees don’t get fired because of civil service, local police can’t investigate because it’s federal property, and the Postal Inspector doesn’t seem to have either the ability or desire to address it.

Thank you for the new drive up mail box! Drive up is very convenient for elderly & handicapped patrons. HOWEVER, I cannot reach the handle or letter opening from the driver's seat! Can you please correct this oversight?

Our carrier in the Northfork Subdivision is the absolute worst I’ve ever encountered. She has been our carrier for 2 1/2 - 3 years and in this time we have had 26 misdelivered packages. Our pkgs are either delivered to neighbors within 2-3 streets or theirs are delivered to us. Yesterday, however, I received a pkg for a completely different subdivision. This carrier is rude, uncaring and not fit for this job. If you try to talk to her, she makes it very clear that you are interrupting her phone call. As a former postal employee, I KNOW this is unacceptable. Something must be done about her. I have spoken to the supervisor and absolutely nothing has been done to improve her work, work ethic or her attitude.

I received an email that a package had been delivered to my mailbox. I went to the mailbox to find--no package and no key. This is so typical for the Albert Thomas Post Office--USPS for the past two years any package delivered by them has been misdelivered to another mailbox. I called the post office to listen to ringing until it timed out. I redialed and it also rang and rang. I paid for postage I expect responsible and accurate customer service.

Went to mail a package last week. Initially there was no one at the counter. Eventually an Asian female employee showed up to help a customer. A black female employee showed up a few minutes later. When a customer rang the bell for package pickups, the Asian woman asked the other woman if she was going to answer the door. The black woman immediately became rude and said, "I don't need permission from you to answer the door!". This was so rude and obviously embarrassed the Asian woman. The customer tried to diffuse the situation and stated, she is only asking you if you are going to answer the door. The black employee repeated her rude response to a customer and said, I DONT NEED HER PERMISSION TO ANSWER THE DOOR. What a horrible attitude and toxic work environment. I feel for both of those women because they were both unhappy working there.

When I first moved to this area 10-years ago this post office was well ran. There was inventory in the area near the counter, the outside area was kept mowed, clean and neat and people were generally friendly for a government ran post office. I noticed a big change a few years ago everything changed for the worst. I emailed and called and a lady from I believe from Georgia called and spoke to me for 20 mins. Seemed interested and concerned about my comments. That was 3 years ago and not a damn thing changed or got better. If anything things have gotten worse. In the real world if an under performing manager is not doing his job he/she is held accountable and changes are made. It’s a shame the government doesn’t have that type of basic 101 skills. And people wonder why the post office losing money and has so many problems. Very sad.

A neighbor recently posted on Nextdoor/Northfork a video of her trying to get a package out of her mail box. It was too big to come out the front of the box. The posting has generated days of several other neighbors sharing their frustrating experiences with the same thing happening to them I'm one of them. This is unacceptable service from this office. Just because a box package fits through the back opening of the box does not mean it will also fit through the front opening. Such packages should be left in the larger, keyed boxes. Please review this practice with your postmen and postwomen.

A little after six this evening 11/27/18 . I news lady was delivering our mail she was black with long hair with a little gold growing out I heard her truck coming along I stepped outside my front door to greet the mill person as she getting out of her truck to bring me a package I say hello to her she says hello back immediately throws down my mail and packages onto the sidewalk turns around without a beat gets back in her truck drives off missing the house next-door then she backs up to deliver their mail I walk up to the truck she sees me still talking to her friend on the phone and drabs off .. leaving my mail and packages sitting on the sidewalk not in my. Empty mailbox . This woman is very rude and very unprofessional I don’t care for this woman this is not the first time this is happened last week she leaves all the mail this time in the mailbox but a package hanging on the li this woman is very rude very unprofessional I don’t care for this woman this is not the first time this is happened last week she leaves all the milk this time in the mailbox but the package hanging on the Open door lip of the mailbox instead of taking it to the door where my husband would’ve been happy to receive his medications .. i’m note that the United States Postal Service is extremely busy this time of year but Albert Tomas Postal Service this particular office is horrible all your long we have problems the only thing we have going good for us as we have a regular route postal delivery lady that is excellent very kind and she goes beyond the call of duty it there’s a Award mrs. Wish this station could return to what it used to be. Until just a few years ago, this was a very nice station. The customer service area looked nice, with all sorts of decorative extras for purchase - mailers, stamps, tape, etc. That all disappeared a few years ago. The outside looked different too. Now the outside and the inside are just drab. Lots of comments here about poor service. All of this looks like drastic budget cuts and I lay the blame for that at Congress.

Albert Thomas Post Office is a bunch of the rudest people ever. I had a scheduled pick up since Friday 5-19,,,, NO SHOW,,, Monday called twice and was hung up on. put in another schedule pick up on Tuesday NO SHOW,,,, TUESDAY called and was put in hold for 20 minutes. called back tried to explain and was talked to very rude and was told they don't have to listen to me and hung up on me . NO SHOW. WHAT is their problem. We are their customer and they are so rude and do not stick to their own schedules. HORRIBLE service. They could not hold a job if it wasn't for the government protecting them.

I put in for a mail hold while I was gone for 2 weeks. I gave plenty of notice. It never happened. If I hadn't had a neighbor checking on it (because I was aware of our carriers lack of concern), it would have been very obvious I was out of town and my house might have been robbed. Thanks to my neighbors it wasn't.

We used to have a very good service, but then we got Dee few years ago. She is a nightmare - slow, rude, lazy, inaccurate and vindictive. We are lucky when our mail reaches us, and it only happens when we have substitutes. So here is the latest – ordered 3 diamond crosses for Christmas presents. Found the first shipment in my mail box. It was already opened. The receipt said: quantity of two, yet there was only one cross in there. The second package was missing altogether, while the tracking indicated that it was delivered. When I launched the investigation, it magically arrived. Same deal, package was opened, and it was in no shape to be given as a present. Did she drive her little track over it? Or smashed it with the hammer? And I am still missing one cross! We’ve been complaining about her for years, and the post office does nothing!!!! There is no accountability! This is sooo wrong! I am forced to give them 1 star, as the system does not allow postings with zero stars. How sad!

How is this office allowed to continue to provide this horrendous non service and stay open with the help of OUR government funds? I have not had one single positive experience. They have lost checks, gifts, important documents...the list goes on. When you call to see where every lost package is, they give attitude or just leave you on hold and walk away. PATHETIC!

Negative experience. They had only 1 person working in the morning with the line almost backing to the door. I received all my boxes damaged with a total of $9000 insurance. Once finally seen the said you have to do it online. I mean they offer the insurance in store but then have to go online to file a claim. Another way for the post office workers to get out of work and make USPS experience even worse.

their delivery is terrible as well. I frequently end up with someone else's mail. " wrong address" note does not work. On multiple occasions I was redelivering it myself. Conversely, my mail was brought to me by my neighbors many times. Some mail gets lost altogether. I am actually thinking of filing a formal complaint. Having a postal worker that is lazy , inaccurate or incompetent is like not having him( her in this case) at all. Too many elderly folks in our subdivision depend on hard copy mail and they are suffering the most.

The absolute worst customer service of any post office I have been too. And they wonder why the USPS loses money every year? Who supervises this post office because it appears the inmates are running the asylum. If you ever need to pick up a package, plan to wait......awhile, you ring the bell multiple times and no one even answers, you just stand there waiting for at least 20 minutes. My mail carrier is equally as bad. I have had notifications that the package has been delivered when it hasn't and it shows up a few days later after I have hounded them on the phone to find my package. If this happened once I would not bother writing this review but I have had at least 10 bad experiences. Nothing ever changes.

Don’t waste your time processing a passport at the post
office. I recommend to everyone needing a passport the passport services at
Central Library 500 Mckinney Houston Texas 77002 832-393-1313 for those who want to process
a passport application. Organized,
knowledgeable, nice, open late on Tuesday and Thursdays, (that’s when I had
mine done) and NO APPOINTMENT necessary. The agents their are AWESOME!

This is the worst post office ever. If you go to pick up a package, you
wait at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledges that you're at the
window. If you call to get information or resolve an issue, they either
talk over you and cut you off quickly, or they put you on hold and never
come back to the phone. The worst customer service ever! They need to
shut them down, or at least threaten then all with unemployment until
they learn how to deal with the public and obtain some customer service
skills. I hate that my apartments was even relegated to this horrible
post office.

ROFL I was going into this page to see who to complain to about the unbelievable rude behavior and then began reading some of the comments. It's so sad that you can go to other post offices in our area and all you have to do is mention Albert Thomas and the staff at those other post office is roll there eyes because they know how ignorant the staff is, blatantly predjudice and how horrid the services over there is. Guess if all you can get is. This has been going on for at least 15 years that I can count and why has no one corrected the behavior. Why is this post office still open? Why are the employees not fired?

Ms. Steven is by far the most horrible supervisor I have ever had to encounter. No customer service or people skills whatsoever. I am now just wondering how she would feel if she had to go thru what I just experienced with her mail. Karma is real.

Really horrible! This is the worst PO experience I have ever had in my life! I now have to drive 30 miles
and waited half an hour to receive the wrong piece of mail. I didn't notice until home and just gave
up talking to all the pathetic employees there trying to find out where it is. I will wait until it is delivered.
I cannot deal with those people and the carrier never attempted to deliver it in the first place. I hate the USPS!
