I ordered something from Amazon expecting that it would be delivered by Amazon. Instead it was given to USPS to deliver. It was marked delivered in my mailbox but was not delivered. Why mark it even mark it delivered? Im walking up on porches of neighbors I don’t know to see if my package is there because of a lie. I have yet to receive my package or my regular mail. The number to the post office itself isn’t valid and the mail carriers are constantly changing. Who do you talk to to rectify these reoccurring issues? I understand being understaffed and overworked but at least be honest about deliveries.

To the Postmaster at Rahway, I haven't been to reach you by phone. I have the USPS"s app and know what I am suppose to be getting on any given day. That said, I am consistently not receiving all of my mail. Sometimes I get it a day or two late. Lately, I have neighbors, strangers in cars, delivering my mail, a letter here ... a letter there. Last week, I checked on Amazon about a package I was expecting. Their notification was the package was not delivered by the USPS because my front steps were inaccessible. I filed a claim with the USPS, and 3 days later the package shows up on the same steps that were inaccessible. Yesterday, my whole block, Elm Ave. by Rahway High School, did not receive mail. I know I should have received at least 6 letters. In fact, today a guy in a car pulls up in front of my residence and delivers one of the letters. Something is wrong here. And, if all of our government agencies are like its postal service, this Country is in trouble.

Just started selling items on Ebay. Have had terrible experience with Rahway USPS. Have scheduled Priority Mail home pick up. Nobody picks up but they send me an email saying packages were picked up. One priority package went to Portland OR and returned to Rahway 2 times. No explanation why. Now I am out of pocket $21.50 shipping and had to refund buyer. Have been into the post office 3 times to speak with a supervisor. Each time told none is available. Was asked to leave a written message and supervisor would call. Left message with counter staff. 3 days later no phone call. Have another Priority Mail package that was going to Bridgeton MO. Mailed 12 April. Package has gone back and forth between MO and NJ several times and tracking now (April 21) shows it is in Honolulu Hawaii. So much for paying another $21.50 for Priority 2-3 day shipping. I believe somebody at the Rahway Post Office is either deliberately sabotaging mail or they are totally incompetent. I am going to try another post office. If that does not work, I will no longer ship by USPS, only FEDEX.

My order taking to long to get here it come from first class i need this order to be delivery soon it stuck in NJ please send this order im so mad this order never came never delivey i call and text plus wrote so many time no one answer or call .i give usps a zero even the store. I live on West Grand Avenue and there are 6 lock boxes for mail on the front porch, outside the entrance to the building. the mail is either being left on top of the boxes or on the window sill to the right of the boxes. There is financial, personal, and health correspondences that MUST be securely delivered to the recipient. This is unacceptable. Last month, there were two prescriptions marks as delivered on the USPS website, but were not delivered on the day that the USPS said they were.

For three weeks in a row that the flyers from Shoprite and Acme have not been distributed in Colonia. Is this the post office decision ? I hope that these mailers are not being dumped. Can you inform ?

We have big issue with our mail. This has been going on for many months. We have brought it to the notice of Rahway post office several times and things are still the same. We are located in warehouse complex and all post boxes have respective company names written inside the box which is visible.No one can miss it. We get every company's mail and not ours. Yesterday evening we got 8 letters of various companies in our complex in our box but no mail for us. Where is it delivered? We have lost checks. Some checks were delivered to us by another company in the complex. The ones we lost , we had to request the customers to do stop payment on the lost checks and get wire transfer and pay charges for wire transfer. Somebody needs to attend to these issues at the earliest.

I have been have the same problem for years! Every time I have my mail forwarded, the new temporary yellow address label goes on my letters, then those very same letters are now delivered to the original house, not the forwarding address. No they do not make it into my mail drop box, the are dropped on my front porch, which they then up blowing through out my neighborhood. We can’t mail be forwarded properly?

Why is mail being left on steps and not put in mailboxes and how do I get my mail sorted and put in my mailbox and not the person who lives downstairs. I have complained and I even have a note but still it's not done. .either he gets all the mail or its put in mine. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE GOING THROUGH MY MAIL OR VICE VERSA..PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF..ITS MOSTLY WHEN REGULAR MAIL PERSON IS OUT AND ALL THE TIME ON SATURDAYS..CAN THEY NOT READ MY BIG PINK NOTE!?

What is the purpose of putting a stop mail on your delivery when they don’t abide by your request! I’ve a hold confirmation and they still deliver. Had family put a note on our mail box that a hold is in place, they took the note and are still delivering.

I have a problem. I ordered a package from DayProud and it was sent to your post office in Rahway, NJ on January 13 @ 8:52 Am. Delivered to PO Box ? We live in Southeast Alabama. Tracking # LW334055528CN. We were wondering if you can send us our package to us at 2262 North Union Avenue, Ozark. Alabama 36360. It would be difficult for us to pick it up way up there. I have tried to contact the company but they are not responding. Would you please let me know when you receive this email and the decision.

I'll just add my two cents to all that has been written...more than a year ago my mother passed and I had all the mail forwarded to my address in Pennsylvania... a week ago I received 18 pieces of mail addressed to her...some were time sensitive and dated back to January of this year / one was dated November 2018! TIME SENSITIVE!!!! I've tried to call this post office and ask what's going on but no one ever answers ... reading this blog I know know what's going on... COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE!!!!... Who oversees this blog or is it just put here to make us feel like something MAY be done??????

me too, Jay! they give crazy reasons why they cant deliver my packages (all poor excuses and lies) - saying they attempted delivery, and meanwhile i was waiting for them right here in front of my house. THEy NEVER EVEN DROVE BY. I get other people's mail ALL THE TIME, and my mail, when it comes - is never delivered before 7 pm. my carrier has repeatedly made my life a living hell by not doing his one simple job. i would sure love a high paying post office job! they can give me his. if i ever behaved like this at my place of employment i would not have a job. this is very poor business. i will use UPS over on St George by the 7/11. THAT guy is a hard working sweetheart who goes above and beyond. as of this moment i have spent 2 and a half hours on the phone on hold or fihhting with the automated voice system and their stupid surveys -(to better improve service!?! - get rid of the voice prompts, that shoulfd make things hugely better!)trying to get my package delivered from US post office in rahway. i am boiling mad, and going to UPS from now on. i sleep days and work overnights. their crappy hours have ruined my sleep/work schedule. been on hold for 30 minutes so far. yesterday it was 40 minutes.

My mail comes regularly around 330pm but Mondays lately it's not coming until 8pm ! This is ridiculous. My whole schedule is thrown and I think mail should be delivered atleast before the post office closes. What I receive in mail determines the rest of my night depending on bills, etc... Very unhappy.

I live on Emerson Avenue...which is RIGHT NEXT TO THE POST OFFICE! I FINALLY got my mail past 6pm on a SATURDAY. Obviously it’s a new mail carrier because my regular carrier usually delivers around 10 to 11 am. I’m expecting a package and did not receive it yet. I figured she will come back again and deliver the box last, so I waited in my living room. 15 min later I hear her literally throw the box on my porch! What an inconsiderate person ! So I go outside and she’s already driving off. To put icing on the cake, she throws the WRONG package on my porch; I have no idea if the wrong package I received had fragile items in it, but I am PISSED OFF with how she handled it and threw it on my porch like it was nothing. I look across the street and she delivers my package to the wrong house. I call the post office demanding to speak to a supervisor, and low and behold the supervisor has no idea who the mail carrier is. I will make it my mission to follow up with whoever is the head office to report this person who loves throw packages. If you hate your job that much, then leave !

I don't know what is going on at the Rahway,NJ Post Office but every day we have a new carrier. They get later and later everyday. Each day I get mail that belong to neighbors or on other streets. My next door neighbor is delivering mail to the residents on other streets he should be paid for his services. OOH the citizens of this country pay your salaries. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. The Postmaster is usless!!!

I have been waiting for a package since it was transferred to the post office on 11/9/17 today is 11/29/17 and i was told by Jose at Rahway post office to call the merchant and have them send me another package. I said i'm not paying for merchandise when it clearly says its in the Rahway post office. Needless to say i got off the phone with no resolve

the number 973-468-7045 has mow been disconnected.....i think everyone working at Rahway should be fired! is there actually a POSTMASTER there? they seem to work with MO ACCOUNTABILITY. I think it should be abolished and sell the services to a private service. they'd save a ton of money for the states and do it MUCH BETTER

This has got to be the worse Post Office in the state of New Jersey, if not the entire United States. In the past four months I have had packages and "CERTIFIED MAIL" lost by this post office. On March 6th I received an orange slip telling me to pick on certified mail on March 7th. I went to the PO on March 7th and was told my certified letter was not there, it was sent to Kearny. If I live in Rahway and my "CERTIFIED MAIL" was sent to my Rahway address, why was it sent to Kearny????????????? I was told it would be returned on the next day. Today is March 16th and I have yet to receive my "CERTIFIED MAIL". Every time I go to the PO, I get a different story.

We just moved 2 years ago and now I am regretting moving to Rahway, the post office services is horrible. They do not come pick up our packages (something we are paying every month for). We called the manager and he claims our mail person is a really nice lady, which doesn't have anything to do with doing her job. We have to take the time to go to the post office to drop off packages. This is very shameful, they don't even take the time to ring our door bell when we have certified mail or a package that needs a signature they just put the pink slip in our mailbox. My husband went to there this morning to get his package and they can't find it..WHAT we just got the slip yesterday!!!! WHERE IS OUR PACKAGE? I am going to corporate because this is months and months of the same story!!!!!

Not really we talked to the post lady directly and she now ring bell if we not home they put pink slip. That's all I had asked. We did have another issue when my husband went to the post office he was racially discriminated against by one of the post man behind the desk. Heard he since been fired but not because of what happened. Other than that haven't had an issue since.

horrible service, i havent been receiving mail for almost a month, after complaining to the supervisor my mailbox was suddenly stuffed with old mail.. this was a month ago.. it's been 3 weeks now again without receiving any mail and i'm waiting for important documents!!! when packages do come, there is no notes in the mailbox to pick up at the post office..

Postal delivery people have got to stop taking shortcuts and crossing lawns on joanna place, colonia, in the snow. Why do I bother shoveling the path walkway if they won't bother using it.I have lawn ornaments buried unders snow and they completely disregard them and have broken some of them by doing this.I have complained in person to the Rahway postmaster, only to be told by the postmaster to put up signage on my lawn saying do not walk on lawn. I should not have to do that. That is why we have laws on the books to shovel our walkways after each storm. Someone WILL get hurt and I will fight it having notified and documenteditseveral times with no remediation.I have taken pictures after each snow storm to show their tracks from the neighbors mailbox, to my mailbox,to my other neighbors mailbox.....all across three snow laden lawns.Please cease and desist.Btw I waited 25 minutes online at their 800 number to report this againt to theRahway Postmaster, all I got was a threaded promotional message...no postmaster. So much for customer service.

The customer service cashier "Chuck" at this post office is horrible. The employees are not engaged in their job of providing great customer service and are argumentative and rude to senior citizens and patrons. Lack of effective communication skills, being short, cutting you off, walking away when asked a question, and not knowledgeable about passports and he was unwilling to share the information when asked. The woman supervisor is more like an employee at a local McDonald"s and lets the employees have it their way with no regards of how they service people. She actually agrees with employees bad customer service and misconduct and argues with customers when there was a complaint, when there where other patrons waiting to be serviced. Training and upper management observations and customer reviews inside post office when making a transaction are badly needed at this site. Especially in today's technological society when there are multiple streams and businesses that can be utilized other than the postal service.
