I had snow in front of my mailbox, West Kennebunk, as I'm sure many other tax paying residents experienced in the prior month. I certainly understood I had no mail delivered during this period. I tried to chip away at the snowbank and cleared in front of the mailbox; however, I couldn't make a clear path to drive Right Up To It. I thought an attempt would have been made by the delivery driver to stretch his arm out to put mail in the box. No - Nothing was delivered for almost 2 weeks. When the weather calmed down, I ask my snowplow man to please remove the frozen snow, and he did it before I got home from work. I was so happy and looking forward to receiving3 different packages. Then I read my email. All 3 packages had been returned to the senders. The next day my box had a lot in it, consisting of all junk mail and one piece that was delivered to the wrong address. Several times I've had to go out of my way and drop the wrong pieces back to the post office. I've had packages delivered to the wrong address which I called the addressee and notified them. If I can go out of my way to do the right thing, I don't know why someone whose getting paid to do the job doesn't. In the future maybe I'll just start throwing away any incorrectly delivered mail to my property. What can prevent this from happening again?
I thoroughly agree with the other comments on this site. This man is the rudest, miserable, disgruntled employee that I have ever come across in all my years. It is so unlike most postal employees who welcome people in and tend to their needs in a friendly way. This guy is a disgrace to the USPS.
I was in the post office at 5 minutes to 11, when the person at the window finished her transaction, and her gabbing I left my socially distanced spot, and went to the window to buy stamps, and the metal awning was slammed down, and the postal worker hollered that he was closed, I had to leave and go to the Wells PO to buy stamps. Maybe West Kennebunk should close or get new workers
