Been waiting on a certified letter for 2 months and finally it comes in. I get a slip to pick it up at the annex in wasilla. I get there to sign and pick it up but no one can seem to find it. So I left my name and phone number because they told me that they would call me back that never happened. I mean how the hell do you loose something like that when it's your job to make sure it's delivered...
If your thinking about trying to call and talk with someone from the annex forget about it, you can't talk to a person.
Your contractor Laci who delivers Aspen Ridge,Wolf lake area off Engstrom absolutely SUCKS!! She’s flat out RUDE does not care and refuses to deliver packages to my cluster box and or house. Instead she leaves a key in my cluster box for me to go pick up the packages/mail 25mins away at the annex. The key is bigger than the package. Post office staff all the way up to post master do not care and refuse to fix the problem. I already left messages with senators, Markowski, and Sullivan‘s office. Im in the process of looking for an attorney who will take this case as well. So far I’m up to 232 signatures from a neighborhood petition that have had same or similar problems with Laci. I can clearly see why the post office is loosing millions of dollars annually!
Phone trees and phones in general are horrific. I tried main Wasilla number trying to find out why my package wasn’t delivered. Option 2 for tracking asked for my login, option 9 for main location said it was not valid.
This annex number I got a this number not in service. Makes me tired all over.
Good Service! We visited the Wasilla Postal Annex around 1045 Am. On a Friday. It was busy with 5-6 customers in front of us. We were in and out in about twenty mins. We were registering for a new mailbox, and locating a missing package. On average I would say it took a few mins per customer. Good job Wasilla postal Annex
I have been trying to get a hold of both the Annex and the Post Office in Wasilla by phone for the past week and no one answers. What is the point of having a website that does not resolve issues or a phone that no one answers. Just answer your phones, PLEASE.
I agree with Alypay86...I have lived in the Wasilla AK area for over two years now...CAN NEVER GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE> People have important questions and they do feel they can be answered on the phone instead of taking time to drive to the post office.ANSWER THE PHONE.....The Houston and Willow office did. I had to get my answers from one of those places when I had a question. Which means Wasilla is not wanting to answer the PHONE

mail carrier not deliverying mail
for the past two weeks Mail carriers not even trying to deliver mail or packages by utilizing code to enter building, not leaving a delivery attempt slip,.. provided code to enter building multiple times.. Cant get ANYONE to answer the phone at any post office in area to address.
Today I got a situation with mail, today - July 8, 2020, the postman put the envelope from someone else's address in my mailbox, I told the postman that I received it from someone else's address, I told him that it was wrong, that he could also mine I put my mail in a mailbox of someone else, I asked him to write his name on paper to call me at the post office and report this problem, but refused to give his name. My local address is 445 North Yenlo Street Wasila 99654
Today, I still did not get my missing pkg. from yesterday. The mail Carrier put my pkg. in someone else’s box; yet it shows the pkg. was delivered (to another box holder, not I)!
Not only that, she gave me another pkg. that doesn’t belong to me, this time instead of Pamela Whatley, it’s to: Dean Dexter, not to me, Gidget Wensel. Two days in a row & 3 pkgs. messed up!! Why is she allowed to work for the USPS? This is serious! I am missing my pkg.!!!! Please help!

Why hasn’t this issue been addressed by the US Postal service? This annex is a nightmare! Small waiting area, the longest lines I’ve ever experienced with an hour wait, 1-2 employees at 2 windows, no handicap access for wheelchairs. I suggest expanding the front area and adding 2 more windows with employees and 2 more employees in the back. Postal service needs to fix this!
I can’t beleive the postal service out here in Mat su I have been in my new home for 3 months ow and still have no mail box can’t receive mail and can’t be helped in how to get one that’s approved. Due to vandalism and nobody wanting to replace our cluster box my entire neighborhood is neglected mail because the wasilla postal courier doesn’t feel like leaving mail put a huge vacant sign on it so all my mail was rts. Bill crap is what the mat su postal is. They are not very intelligent or courteous And who the hell opens at 10am and closes at 1pm all week long. Wow working hard working hard!!!
What is with the Wasilla Annex? Why are we not serviced by a real United States Post Office with real U.S.P.S. postal employees?
My carrier does not deliver my mail on time. I get informed delivery and sometimes wait for 4+ days for all of it to show up in my mailbox. It is ridiculous. This would not happen in the lower 48 and it is unacceptable.
This small room services the entire borough for package pickup. There’s always only on postal worker manning the window the wait is always 30 to 60 minutes. There has to be a better way to serve the people in the borough. It seams no one is trying to address this problem.
The annex is the worst place to deal with. Since they are contracted with USPS and not actual employees, the annex has made up their own rules about things and only follow those rules when it's convenient for them. Our mail courier is required to deliver packages to our house because it is within a quarter mile of where our physical mailbox is located, but she refuses to do so. I have filed multiple complaints about our courier and the annex itself to USPS, but all they can do is pass on the complaints and nothing has been resolved. It is extremely frustrating to deal with the annex in any capacity. Picking up a package is an ordeal on it's own because there is usually only one person manning the counter and if there's anyone in line that needs to do anything besides pick up a package, that usually takes a long time to deal with and they do not call for someone else to come to the counter to help hand out packages.
I would rather go to the dentist than go get a package at the annex. The one and only person at the window is extremely slow. There is always a HUGE line and when you actually make it to the window 20 plus minutes later you get your box only to find out it would of fit in the lock box. Total bullshit and lazy employees
