Why hasn’t this issue been addressed by the US Postal service? This annex is a nightmare! Small waiting area, the longest lines I’ve ever experienced with an hour wait, 1-2 employees at 2 windows, no handicap access for wheelchairs. I suggest expanding the front area and adding 2 more windows with employees and 2 more employees in the back. Postal service needs to fix this!
I can’t beleive the postal service out here in Mat su I have been in my new home for 3 months ow and still have no mail box can’t receive mail and can’t be helped in how to get one that’s approved. Due to vandalism and nobody wanting to replace our cluster box my entire neighborhood is neglected mail because the wasilla postal courier doesn’t feel like leaving mail put a huge vacant sign on it so all my mail was rts. Bill crap is what the mat su postal is. They are not very intelligent or courteous And who the hell opens at 10am and closes at 1pm all week long. Wow working hard working hard!!!
What is with the Wasilla Annex? Why are we not serviced by a real United States Post Office with real U.S.P.S. postal employees?
My carrier does not deliver my mail on time. I get informed delivery and sometimes wait for 4+ days for all of it to show up in my mailbox. It is ridiculous. This would not happen in the lower 48 and it is unacceptable.
This small room services the entire borough for package pickup. There’s always only on postal worker manning the window the wait is always 30 to 60 minutes. There has to be a better way to serve the people in the borough. It seams no one is trying to address this problem.
The annex is the worst place to deal with. Since they are contracted with USPS and not actual employees, the annex has made up their own rules about things and only follow those rules when it's convenient for them. Our mail courier is required to deliver packages to our house because it is within a quarter mile of where our physical mailbox is located, but she refuses to do so. I have filed multiple complaints about our courier and the annex itself to USPS, but all they can do is pass on the complaints and nothing has been resolved. It is extremely frustrating to deal with the annex in any capacity. Picking up a package is an ordeal on it's own because there is usually only one person manning the counter and if there's anyone in line that needs to do anything besides pick up a package, that usually takes a long time to deal with and they do not call for someone else to come to the counter to help hand out packages.
I would rather go to the dentist than go get a package at the annex. The one and only person at the window is extremely slow. There is always a HUGE line and when you actually make it to the window 20 plus minutes later you get your box only to find out it would of fit in the lock box. Total bullshit and lazy employees
