I used to love all the employees at the Edmonds post office. Always polite and friendly, well not anymore. The young red head is so rude and not Polite at all. You know a thank you and please goes a long ways. Also USPS is crazy for the costs, they just quoted me $70 to ship something, went to ups and same box was $40, plus they were very friendly and polite. Guess where I’m going for future needs. Edmonds postal used to have such higher standards.

The highest KUDOS to BRANDON DIMENGO, a postal employee at the Perrinville Substation. Yesterday, we were having some major tree pruning done, and a large truck was parked in front of our house; however, there was still room to get around it, and both Amazon and UPS made deliveries to our home the same day. Our USPS carrier refused to deliver our mail which included a package containing a dress for an upcoming wedding. The package would not have fit in our mailbox anyway, and the carrier would have had to walk up to the door. He refused to do so and just reported that access was blocked. I went to the Perrinville Substation to see what could be done to get this vital package, as the mother of the bride was flying out within hours. We needed that package! Bandon Dimengo was sympathetic and first tried to call the letter carrier, but to no avail. Nothing else was workable, but I left my name and phone number. We were very upset and it looked like the dress would have to be replaced with a hasty purchase. Then Brandon phoned to say he had gotten the package from the carrier and would stay there until we came to get it. Fantastic!! This young man went far beyond the norm in helping us get this parcel. He should get a raise in pay and a promotion. In fact, I hope he will eventually head the United States Postal Service. These are the competent, caring, visionaries we need! Many thanks to Brandon Dimengo.

Trying to get through to this post office is a horrible experience. I get repeated busy signals. Then, when it finally rang, at the end of several rings, I got another busy signal. What happened to customer service?

I have been sick with the Corona Virus for almost a month & have not picked up my mail at PO 1321 during that time. My rent must be close to being due & I would like you to receive your payment from my debit card I used on the last payment. It is a Union Bank account with Mastercard. Please call me when you receive this. 206-769-6152. Frank Price

2 items: The New Edmonds PO is not handicap friendly at all. The walk from the handicap parking into up the long ramp, across the PO boxes, lobby and into the main area is way too prohibited. I do not believe this could be considered ADA compliant. The postal worker "Larry" needs to retire. He is down right rude and gruff "most of the time". Today I witnessed him treat this elderly, longtime regular handicapped senior just awful! He was not kind or patient, friendly or helpful to her but he more more than enough time for friendly chitchat with the people before her leaving all of us standing and waiting beyond the time we should have had to. This is not the firs time either. More and more Edmonds residents do not want to use this "convenient" office in our town because of the way Larry treats people and holds up lines. Then he was rude to me. I asked to have the packaged stamped "fragile", he stamped a corner and said "that wouldn't work" so stamped on my clear tape and said " that's just going to rub off" so I asked if he could put tape over it and he said ll"we have not had tape in over 10 years and you can do it yourself!" All very rudely. This is not helpful, this is not funny or fun and I think something needs to be down about it and the handicap situation. I now try my best to to to the UPS store to mail all my packages because no one deserves service like this.

I would avoid using this post office at all costs. When you drop packages off in their bin after hours, the employees often neglect to check for package the next day OR look underneath the bin. They also do not have a viable phone, you have to call the Perrinville branch. The

First, I want to thank you for having this info so easily accessible. I needed to know when the last pick up was today and found it in under a minute - VERY user friendly website. There wasn't going to be a "Second" but saw the comment below. EVERY business/organization etc. has folks that need to not be there, but I've had one frustrating encounter in 6 years, post office folks and our regular carrier are consistently friendly and efficient and I personally believe the USPS is magic. You address and put a letter in a big metal box in Edmonds and it comes out across the country reaching even those in the most remote outposts or across the world - even when the language is Chinese or Italian or Norwegian.
Our only issue is with the substitute carrier who delivers to us instead of where it's suppose to go next door - happens almost once a week. But compared to many other providers and services, the USPS shines!
