I'm on this web site to get the number to call about mail potentially lost intransit -- without a tracking number. I was not expecting much could be done -- other than me reporting it. While the person politely twice stated that not much could be done without a tracking number, she (as I) was very pleasant (so, maybe it was mutual reflection). While going into the post office, desk attendees where efficient. I did not find them bubbly, but they were not rude whatsoever -- I did find them to be very clear in communication, and thorough in ensuring the intent of my visits were fulfilled -- always asking if I needed anything else -- taking time to look for specific stamps that I desired. And, they were pleasant, at least not rude, upon my departure (though, I suppose it may be because I was pleasant, too). Having traveled a lot while in military service for over 20 years, I think one is required to be in direct contact with a postal employee when establishing mail service: this, I understand is to help prevent fraud as might occur if claiming residency over the phone -- with 2 forms of ID and something like a utility account number to confirm the residence. Overall, the US Postal Service is highly regarded as sufficient and safe in handling - if important, then recommend a tracking number. In my case, the mail missing was not important
Lazy postal delivery personnel. Shove overly large packages into the mailbox and I have to literally pry them out. Postman needs to get off his dead a$$ and take it to the door. I'll be waiting for him tomorrow to talk to him in person. Like it will matter. I vote we close the USPS and go private.
Talked to carrier supervisor and it seemed like I was bothering her. I need to start service for my business at 11485 Washington Plaza West in Reston 20190. The business had mail service a long time ago. She reluctantly took my information and told me the carrier would call me, no luck there. She also told me to catch the carrier on the route. I still am wondering what kind mail box is required and the location for it etc. but nobody is talking to me. 703 349 3301 Craig Nyman
The Reston PO is the worst PO around, lazy employees, package go. missing or are marked as delivered and never delivered. I want to support the USPS but something has got to change in the Reston PO. Worst service I have ever experienced.
I came today with the question about 2 packages forwarded from my mail box in DC. The was a customer service agent who was extremely rude, told me she does not want to help me. With such a HATE in her eyes she should not go anywhere in this country. I will take care of my shipments by myself. Let her hate everybody and herself first of all. Good luck to you all in Reston
Excellent customer service during the holiday rush! Employees were collaborating in assisting the customers, smiling and helpful and generally made me feel like I mattered and that they genuinely wanted to make my experience a positive one. Kudos all around!
I have tried the number above for the Reston USPS and it does not work. I am having an awful time trying to reach ANYONE. I have been on the line for 15 minutes trying to get in touch with one Customer Service Representative from the 1 800 number!!!
