About USPS tracking #9449008205496678885433 package. I was supposed to receive this package on 10 May so I went online and hit the tracking number above. There is a note that the package was refused at 1215 on 11 May. My wife was at home eating at that time. She said that no one knocked or rang our doorbell. So the note is false. Where is my package?
Our neighbors' mail has been put in our mailbox on numerous occasions within the last several months. When this happens we do not receive our mail that day. I brought this issue to employees of Locust Grove, VA post office and nothing has changed. Yesterday we were tracking a package we suppose to receive via USPS. The tracking number indicated that our mailbox is full at 9 am! We contacted the post office just to find out that the delivery person did not leave the post office and was in the process of loading her vehicle. This is an ongoing problem with our new delivery person. I am at the point of filing a written complaint.
Unbelievable! Our mailbox key stopped opening our mailbox yesterday. (We live in a planned community with a centralized mailbox area in lieu of mailboxes at each home; this mailbox is not a post office box where we receive mail we don't want to be delivered to our home address, it is where mail addressed to our home is delivered. it is the only place we receive our mail. More importantly, there is no rental fee for the box so the lock wasn't rekeyed due to payment delinquency.) Clearly someone rekeyed the wrong box and we are suffering for their mistake, that's the only explanation. Outside of the individual homeowners, only USPS employees are authorized to access the mailboxes and those employees operate out of the Locust Grove Post Office.
My husband went into the Post Ofice and informed them we could not access our mail. The clerk checked the appropriate records and told him there was no order to change the lock on our mailbox, and that the person who does that work is off until Monday. Monday? Clearly this is a USPS mistake and as a result, we can not access our mail for 3 delivery days. We are expecting some checks to arrive in the mail and through no fault of our own, we will not get them until Monday, at best.
I hate to write a negative review in the midst of the current pandemic, I feel this is the time to treat one another with kindness. In that spirit, I want to make it clear I don't feel this unacceptable situation is the fault of the Postal employee who mistakenly changed our lock or the Postal employee who told my husband the matter couldn't be resolved until Monday. Given the cutbacks the Postal Service has implemented it's likely this small Post Office is understaffed and the employees are working within the policies set out by the Postal Service itself. The fault rests entirely with the Postal Service. I believe they reduced their workforce without making provisions for a situation like ours. It's not just bad customer service, it reflects bad management. The employees aren't authorized to do anything to resolve this problem. Writing a bad review and filing a complaint (if it's possible) are the only way to make the Postal Service aware of the issue. It's unlikely my situation will be resolved before Monday but perhaps I can prevent another family from suffering the same fate.
It's only in locust grove post office I've seen a package arrived and the tracking information says allowed one or two Additional days before delivery. ..that is kind of not cool. ...every other post office delivers FedEx smartpost packages as soon as they arrive. .this is really annoying
