For about 6 months or more I see the mailman go to my neighbors houses to deliver mail but skips mine. I often have outgoing mail that needs to be taken, but they only seem to come to my house if they have something to drop off.
Every day recently, my friends mail box and many others are left open even the few days before Christmas and following Christmas. The weather was stormy and windy, so who knows what blew away and how many items were wet when people retrieved them. Prior to Christmas he had packages delivered and they were in full site of all vehicles driving past on "Bosque Trail." What are the postal workers requirements for rural delivery? Close boxes, or just drive away leaving them open?
My package was supposed to be delivered, per the postal service tracking, however the package was not delivered. I believe the postal person put the 'key' for the 'package box' into another resident mail box. Based on the below comments, I appears to happen a lot, I have the 'confirmation # but there is now way of knowing who to speak with.
Tracking said my prescription was delivered. It was not. When I called the post office to see if they could find before I leave for a two-week trip, the phone was never answered. Now, I will have to take off work early to ask to find.
I wanted to thank my postman for exceptional service. He took the time to come and drop off a very important package - that would not fit in my outside box.
His route in on CR262 and I really appreciate his work
The employees in this post office are the the most rude obnoxious uninformed out of any post office I've ever been in or dealt with in the entire state of Texas. They are extremely understaffed and have a I really don't care attitude. I've had a PO Box in this post office for the last year and have endured lost mail no mail and everyone's mail but my own at times. They continue to put the last person's that had my box his mail in my in it. I've requested them to stop on up 10 or more occasions and they tell me when that happens just push that mail back through onto the floor! Where they pick it up and put it back in my box! I'm a native Texan born and raised and once again these are the most rude and obnoxious people I've ever dealt with in a post office. I got an email from them that my renewal was due and for 12 months it would be a certain price yet when i went in to pay it the amount was almost 4 times the price in the email and was told that they never sent me that email yet there it is. WOW WOW WOW! I've filed a grievance against this post office and hope they clean house and get some DECENT people in there
Package tracking alert says it was delivered yesterday when I was at home. IT WASN'T! No sign anywhere. Trying to get an answer so that I can clear this up with the seller and credit card. Also, "DOES ANYONE EVER ANSWER THE PHONE AT THE POST OFFICE"? I've had trouble with this before.
I picked up my mail at POBox 2043 in the post office of Georgetown Texas. In it was a key for package box #50. When I opened the box it was empty. I do not have any information on the package. What do I need to do.
I had received package (from the lobby door post office personnel) items on tissue paper, out of the shipping boxes, to view the items. I went to the desk, around the corner, to send a different package back to Amazon. But, there were two other people on stand-by, so it took a little longer. I went back around to retrieve the items. And they were STOLEN. I do not think it was a customer because I have been using this post office for going on 7 years, and have left items on the counter, and no one has ever bothered my items. Some times you have several items to retrieve from the boxes, and you are not able to carry all boxes at one time. I had flack from my relative that sent the items and paid her for her kind efforts, since she did not pay for shipping insurance. To add, the box had been opened prior to my retrieval because the personnel person said that, "If it has electronic items, we can open them." So be aware, there are thieves that work at the post office.
I have had trouble with my mail ever since I moved into my neighborhood. I just received a notice from my trash pick up company and they said they never received my payment in the mail. This was sent over a month ago and they never received it. What are we going to do about the postal service at Georgetown, Texas?
Every year I mail a birthday card containing a silver dollar to my son in Alabama. This year I sent card containing the silver dollar on Friday, Feb. 11 and he received the card on Feb. 15. The corner of the card was sliced open, the small plastic bag was sliced (which was taped inside the card) and the silver dollar was missing. Someone between Sun City in Georgetown and Pelham AL had to both cut the card open and the 2" x 3" plastic and remove the gift!

I have been sending numerous packages thru this post office, paying tons for shipping and several packages are lost or do not show up as arrived for a week or so. I don't know who runs this office, but it is very unorganized and certainly not efficient. I will start using another postal service as I cannot rely on my packages arriving to the customer in a timely manner. Such a shame!!!
We have used the Mail Hold services multiple times. The last two times we have received mail that did not belong to us AND found out that some of our mail was delivered to other addresses. This most recent hold, we have mail for a neighbor on Cathedral Mountain Pass as well as mail for someone on Shumard Peak Road. I don’t know who is handling your mail holds, but someone needs to look into this process. This is very frustrating.
My Amazon package was left at my neighbors house. My mail box looks like it is on their lawn so the carrier delivered my package next door. If the carriers would take one second and look at the house number on the package and then on the house they could get it right. This is not the first time. Georgetown ( Sun City) Texas
Mailed a large package that they charged me $94.00 to mail and then they lost it. Joe, the postmaster, said he would look into it and never did anything, then told me I have to call and put in a claim and get a case number which they will send to him. Still never heard from him after he keeps saying he will call me. Went there today to follow up and after they told me he was coming and kept me standing there for 10 minutes told me he's on a phone conference. What a load of garbage. They took the package in, it's their responsibility to find it. Unless of course they opened it and liked the contents and decided to keep it for themselves. Horrible service. And you can't call because they never answer the phone.
OMGoodness! I'm moving to Georgetown and have been trying for a week to get a hold of ANYBODY!! I sat on hold AGAIN today for nearly 60 minutes then the phone went from music to about 20 or so rings and then hung up on me!! WTH??!! Is this our first nightmare encounter for our move? I'm quickly reminded WHY I send and receive everything from other reliable mail sources. Boo on this USPS location.
I have also been trying to call for hours it rings about 20 times and then disconnects. Its frustrating. I understand everyone's busy, but not even voice mail. I have (many have) a situation that cannot be assisted by the automated general USPS options. Answering the phone would be of great assistance.
I been trying to get a hold of you for the last three hours. No one answers your phone. What is your problem. Everything in George town that screwed up where you can not answer your phone number.
I need your fat asses to get off your chairs and stop eatting so you can do your job.
Answer the dam phone.
The mail in the mail depository located at 1433 Cool Springs Way, Georgetown, TX 78633 is not being picked up daily at 12:00pm as published on the mail depository. The mail is overflowing and falling on the ground.
I have been going thru terrible experience with them. This is my fifth visit to their office. I paid $25 for lock change. It's been more than 1 and half weeks I didn't hear anything from them. Then I called they someone told me to come and pickup the key. Once I reached there the key was not found. And worse... the log book page was missing. Then I filled a form to hold back my mails. Today I went to collect the mails. And Guess what.... that form was missing. Again I filled a form to hold my mails back. There is no professionalism at all.
They do a good job, but Tristan, is the creepy guy who's eyes lock onto womens bodies, even when he's waiting on me he stares at the women. Did an experiment today, went in with my wife, his window was vacant, but the door to the backroom was open after standing in line a bit i saw him peeping out from that backroom LOCKED ONTO her (we had a bet, at this point i was winning!) then we were leaving and BAM he had that "half-door" open as we left, no customers, just him..there...staring like a rapist. At this point i was laughing and got her to go back "in" with me to get some priority boxes, we got them within 2 min, and we turned around and BAM there he was, doing nothing, leaning on the metal detectors to tell us to have a good day as we walked by. This is ridiculous #ThirstyTristan needs to be working instead of stalking!
I have had a terrible experience with this Post Office. I recently purchased a home in Georgetown and have ordered a new key for my mailbox almost 3 weeks ago and STILL do not have it! I was told when I ordered it that it would be 5-7 business days. We have waited in long lines twice, only to be told "you should have it soon". I have mail that is urgent, that I need to have, to pay my new mortgage. What do we have to do to get our mailbox key?! This should not be this hard! I have called an no one answers. This is absolutely ridiculous.
I found the phone number on web site but every time I ring it after about 20x it hangs up; no one ever answers. months ago when i tried to call with a question it was the same thing. what number will you answer or do I have to walk in and ask it?
I have asked several times to have my mail picked up at 2 pm since I am a business this has been this way for years. Now you are picking up mail at 10:30 am. that hardly gives me time to get my orders ready.
And the postal carriers are not wearing mask.
Do not drop off your packages in that slot on the side of the building, all my small packages that I drop off there goes missing.
Be sure to talk your packages inside and drop it in that large tumbler.
I live at 1504 Forest Street in Georgetown, Texas. Debby retired and I want Rubin to be my new delivery person!!!. I know that Georgetown, Texas is the 3 worst USPS in Americal. However, Rubin is personalable and I want him to my new delivery person!!!!
I have never had so many mishandled pieces of mail as occurs at my current address. I live in Sun City, neighborhood 55 and a week doesn't go by that we don't have someone else mail in our box. I think you folks need to retrain your carrier of get some one who can tell once address from another!!!!!!!
I was a letter carrier in Dallas as well as a Postmaster in Michigan and I have never seen such bad mail delivery as the Georgetown, TX has. I have sent a birthday card to my brother-in-law twice now and it has been returned twice with IA - or insufficient address. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the address. I will continue calling until I reach a real person and find out what the PROBLEM is.
Have had missing packages. Today we had confirmation delivery quite an expensive package, checked our mail and everything belonged to our neighbor. Checked with her and her box was empty. No idea where are package was. Tried calling post office with no answer.
In the past out shared mailbox has been entirely left open, allowing easy access to everyone mail and packages, missing packages late packages, parcel lockers that wont open. I wish all businesses would stop using USPS and go to UPS or FedEx, I never have these issues from non tax dollar subsidized businesses..
Haven't received mail for several days. Will have to go to the G'Town postoffice in hopes of resolving this matter. Frankly, I'd rather have all my teeth and fingernails pulled than visit that place. People continue to complain but the G'Town office could care less.
This has been my mail hub for 20+ years much to my dismay. They never answer the phone, so don't even bother. Apparently, we are not their customer. Quite sure our mail service gets skipped a day or two each week, maybe due to the area's recent growth or is it so the mail carriers can get off at a certain hour each day? When they do deliver, the time is terribly inconsistent. Tried to do our passports there and it was quite frustrating since you can't get any questions answered in advance. Tell me please, why we can't privatize the USPS?!?
I orderd a jacket from China through eBay, but it was returned to sender due to “wrong address”. This is despite many orders having been sent through the same ebay . going through to the same adress so my coat is going back to China and my mother had to stand for 40 minutes a week after having to wait for a simmalar ammoumt of time. I would reccomend avoiding this location.
I have been living in Georgetown (Sun City) zip code 78633 for 5 months now and mail service to my home is horrible. There is one central location to deposit mail in my neighborhood and the mail carriers cannot seem to get it right. Even after complaining to the Post Office, the mail carriers place my mail in my neighbors' mail box and once a week, my neighbors will bring my mail to me. To add to the poor post office service, when you go to the post office to complain about the poor service, I have waited up to 45 minutes to explain to them that I am not getting my mail on a regular basis. The excuses that I get range from the post office employing new mail carriers to mail boxes not clearly identified by mail carriers to mail carriers not reading instructions properly to identifying the correct mail boxes. The results are my incoming mail is so bad that I can only hope my outgoing mail is receiving better treatment.
I have read about missing packages..and today I experienced it. Tracing says delivered to parcel locker..but no key left in my mailbox. I want to know where my package is. I am going to call email..issue a complaint and not stop till I find out why the Village has so many missing packages.
Absolutely the worst! Moved here 5 yrs ago and despite complaints my mail gets delivered to various neighbors.. Have been told they will fix the problem but it doesn't get fixed - 5 years now and same problem - no sense of pride - as long as they get paid they don't give a shit about quality of service. Sad part is it is our tax money paying these losers..
In May I sent a hold mail notice! I returned three weeks later to find my mail box stuffed full of mail. A lot of private information just sitting there for weeks! This was in Sun City. New postman must be trained! Now we are away for two months and a mail forward was put in. Guess what, my neighbor checked the box after we were gone a week! It was full of mail. WHAT TO DO????
What is the deal with mail service in Berry Creek. It's beyond ludicrous, wrong mail in wrong boxes, packages missing, packages show up 3-4 weeks after the company tracking says it was delivered. Locker keys with no number on them so you have to try every box. It's insane and I am not happy, me neighbors are constantly have to bring stuff to my house, I constantly have to deliver my neighbors news paper, magazines and what ever your carrier don't bother to look at carefully.
I currently am looking for 2 separate packages that were supposed to delivered last via tracking. I am SICK of it.

I wish to report a damaged mailbox on Hedgewood Drive. It looks like someone tried to knock down all 3 of them but only succeeded in toppling 1 of them. It's been down for over a month. I can't believe nobody has been out to repair it. It's looks like something you would see in the ghetto.
We have a business & frequently have to travel for several days. We try to put our mail on hold as soon as we know we have to go out of town. We receive the confirmation of hold & acknowledgement of mail service resuming, but frequently - no MAIL to be located on the day of resumption. We have no way of knowing if the mail was left & stolen, or is it sitting in a back corner waiting to get sorted to the right route. Unfortunately I have to use Express Scripts or my maintenance medications, one of them a controlled substance (not pain med). We just returned 5-13-2018 & 1 box of medication was delivered & picked up by a neighbor that knew we were out of town. Mail wasn't delivered on 5-12-2018 or 5-14-2018. No answer at the Post Office - phone just rings about 20 times & then goes to rapid busy signal. Guess I'd be firing management employees, not my business. Just citizen subsidized agency. Wonder if I was Amazon I would get better service?
The Georgetown Post Office is run by a couple of pugnacious hooligans (representatives of minorities as It turns out) who feel their tax-paying, USPS product buyer customers WORK FOR THEM rather than the reverse -- those who employ them (providing outstanding salaries and benefits.) CAN 'EM QUICK!!!
My complaints seem to be the same as everyone elses here. Impossible to reach anyone at this post office. I never write complaints about businesses, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I live out of state and am trying to find a package that was not delivered on time, even after I paid a higher fee, and now I cannot reach anyone. VERY annoyed, what a poor way to run a business.
Don't bother trying to call after 3:30 PM. I have called 4 days in a row and no one has EVER answered. This place is a complete joke. I am trying to get a t shirt delivered that for some ridiculous reason requires a signature. I work during the day so no one will ever be home to sign.. Attempted to call them to make arrangements to drop the shirt off. At this point I could care less if it gets stolen, eaten by a wild animal or ran over by UPS or FedEX (whom actually deliver packages with no issues). Just drop the damn shirt off please.
I've been calling this post office on a daily basis for 2 solid weeks (not an exaggeration) because I am out of state and have issues with my mail forward. Not once, out of the several dozen times I've called, has someone picked up the phone. I've also sent several emails requesting someone to contact me through the online form. No response there either.
This kind of extremely poor service is the very reason the post office is going to way of the dinosaurs. No one wants to use usps because they run a terrible business.
Called the Georgetown Post Office. No one answers and the line disconnects, over and over again. Called the main 800 number but can't reach a real person, the line disconnects. Do any real people work at the Post Office? If there are any, do they care about their customers? If you need an appointment for passports but no one answers the phone ... sounds like the beginning of a stupid joke, on me.
called800 number , hold for 10 min and no answer! Released hold on mail on Friday the 16th of June, no mail to date 6/19 . The 800 number said the hold mail was not on ...yet, we did not get our mail. I wonder where our mail is!!!!
I mailed a check as payment to someone in Dallas on May 30, 2017, from my Georgetown address, having put the letter with the check enclosed in our community's cluster mailbox, outgoing. Two weeks later the check has never arrived, and it has not been cashed. Thus, apparently, it has been lost in the mail. I had to go to my bank and get the check canceled in case someone finds the check and tries to cash it. When I called the Georgetown Post Office to complain, I got little comment, no help, no concern. This is not the first problem by a long shot that I have had with the Georgetown Post Office. I had a gift (a necklace) stolen out or a package once and have dealt with at least a couple of failures on their part to deliver held mail on the date requested after I returned to town. What in the world is the matter with the Georgetown Post Office? Incompetent? Careless? Dishonest? What?
My son recently graduated from college. While we were out of town celebrating his accomplishment, we requested the USPS office not deliver our mail until we returned. Two things happened upon our return: 1) We found a white box on our front door step in plain view of anyone who passed in front of our house; and 2) my son's college diploma was crushed in the bottom of the box under all of the other mail. The over-sized parcel was clearly marked with "DO NOT BEND" and also showed it came from the university. I called to spoke to an individual at the USPS office who apologized; however, there is something wrong with someone who knowingly destroys mail in this example. Be assured that receiving the replacement diploma will not involve the USPS.
We have lived in our home for 3 weeks now. We have a cluster mailbox and we were told they needed to change the lock on it. We were given keys though. I started a new job - first check has been mailed instead of direct deposited. And guess what - the lock isn't changed and I can't get my damn paycheck. Every time we talk to them they tell us - just a few more days. Huge hassle and I don't understand it.
I had a package that was mailed from Parker TX, to Georgetown- mailed from Parker on 3/29 arrived in Georgetown and delivered to my apt complex on 4/1. the mail carrier never left a note in my mailbox stating the package had arrived and to go to the office to pick it up. I emailed my friend in Parker today only to find out that the package has been sitting in the office since 4/1. thank you post office/ mail carrier-- NOT!!!!
Worst post office I have ever had to deal with in my life. Employees are very rude and not helpful and could care less about your situation. I have not been able to get my mail for a week now because my keep stop working on my mailbox. I was told the problem would get fixed on Friday and here we are Sunday and key still does not work. Why make promises you do not keep. I do not have time to keep giving up my lunches at work to pick up my mail at the post office due to the large lines to get my mail. Please fix my mailbox lock!!!!!!! I have called the post office multiple times and no one ever answers the phone.
The carrier service in Parkview Estates until recently has been okay but now it is bad. I have recently received misdelivered mail in my box. I passed the mail on to the correct addressee who said one of the pieces was a check she had been waiting for. She told me that she had also received mail incorrectly and had passed it on to correct addressee. I do not know who the new mail carrier is, but the carrier certainly is not good with delivery detail. I order online a lot and now concerned my orders will go to someone else. Most people are honest and will make sure the correct addressee will get the package, but some are not.
Went to post office Georgetown TX to buy stamps, 2:30 PM line to door, one man behind counter and a lady waited on a couple of customers, then she went to back, another line at pick up counter of five or six people. after 10 min and moving up two spaces I gave up and left, had to get back to work. There is no reason for this kind of service anywhere, Government run or not.
I have called the post office / passport office all day 78628 zip
number 512 863 0072 and 512 868 9925 / no one answer these lines. postal inspector doesn't even answer the line. rings till it disconnects. they did this office over and still no one answers the lines. what the heck.
Multiple times a month, on a regular basis, the mailman does not pick up mail we've left in our mail box...with the flag up. If he/she doesn't have mail to drop off, I guess he/she doesn't see the need to pick up our out-going mail. Today, it happened 2 days in a row. There is absolutely no need for this.
I have been extremely disappointed the way this post office has been handling our new neighborhood. They were given the map to streets weeks ago and even told us they have put the locks on the boxes and that our keys should be ready the next day. Its been over a week now and we are still without mail and the branch is clueless as what to do.
I have tried calling several times throughout the day to find out why we are not getting our mail.. Always, always a busy signal.. Sol now we have to make a trip a second time to find out what is happening to our mail.. Doesn't anyone every read these reviews and do something about this post office. Its awful
We have had our home for two years, the mailbox is in front of our house and we still do not receive our mail. Our mail gets returned to sender address unknown! We have been to the post office numerous times. We have called a thousand times! No one ever answers that phone so don't bother calling. I am beyond frustrated!

As far as contacting this post office by phone, I will agree with the previous reviews - impossible!! No other business could get away with doing this except a government entity..... And this same entity thinks they can take over health care and make it better and more efficient.... Incredible!!
The Georgetown post office is the worst post office I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their carrier/delivery staff either can't read an address or are so careless and incompetent that the mail in rarely delivered to the incorrect cluster box. Packages are not delivered timely and Mail is always lost. Postal admin staff don't answer the phone when a person tries to call in. The widow staff are offentimes rude when asked questions and the environment often feels hostile. It may be time to clean house starting with the postmaster in charge of the post office. It would eliminate dead weight and may correct many of the issues that are extremely apparent here in Georgetown. It will also result in happy customers who won't feel that the taxes they pay in to assist pay federal employee wages or amounts paid to contracted postal staff Isn't a total WASTE of their funds.
By mistake, an order of mine was sent to the wrong address in Georgetown. I caught the mistake right away and called the Georgetown Post Office. The woman I spoke with said it was probably out on delivery, and she would tell the carrier and get the right address put on it. That was July 28. I am still waiting for my package and the PO phone number is always busy, or no one answers.
It seems that answering the phone is not on anyone's job description at the Georgetown post office . I recently moved to the other side of Georgetown and my postal service is so shoddy. Multiple letters with my CORRECT address were returned to sender. My letters from San Antonio have taken 3 weeks to arrive instead of the usual 2 days. I am getting other people's mail in my box and I am given the wrong key to open the parcel box and haven't been able to get my time- sensitive package for 5 days.
Heads have got to roll. If the current employees at the Georgetown Post Office don't want to do their job there are many others who can replace them. This is a completely unacceptable level of , I can't even say service, but NON-service.
Let the USPS hear your complaints, go to this website to submit a complaint. Maybe if we all speak up to the proper management something will finally be done about improving our Georgetown Post Office.

Don't know why they list a phone number. They never answer it.
The absolute WORST Post office in the U.S.. They cannot get their crap together for nothing. Delivering business mail to another business and taking 3 hours to track it down and get it back. Calling all the phone numbers on the system are useless. I know of enough employees that would love to be getting paid what they are and actually caring about their jobs. This location is horrible! Close it and save the taxpayers some money.
TXThe service Georgetown,tx should replace whoever they have hired to do a job that obviously either is too hard for them or they just don't care. Starting with the main office on Scenic Dr - Answer the PHONE - taxpayers pay your wages - My package has been stuck in the parcel bin because the carrier didn't bother to put a key in my mailbox to open it Ugh - The cluster mailboxes need to be done away with because the carriers or should I say "some" carriers can take advantage of folks - Last year I maile a card with some cash to my son and put in outgoing mail - never got it nor the cash - I had a package last year that also said "delivered" - was delivered to wrong address - Yes, people make mistakes but this bunch seem to keep doing it - ad at customers expense - What really upsets me is this package was a christmas package and was already late in getting here ONLY to still be late due to the carrier - PUT THE KEY IN THE MAILBOX SO WE CAN ACTUALLY GET OUR ORDER PLEASE
I had a wonderful conversation with Edward at the post office, after 7pm and he was still working to find packages for customers. My package is missing because it was sent with an incorrect address. Not Edward's fault but he was patient, apologetic and provided as much information as he could. Thank you, Edward!
I filed a formal complain about the phone being busy or ringing for hours. I suggest others do so as well if they run into this problem. I just dialed the I-800 number above and filed a complaint claim. They are supposed to be answering the phone at all times at every Postal Office. He was astounded that this was not the case and even gave me a number to escalate the claim if the practice does not change. It is a local agent that can investigate in the Rio Grande area but you have to have a claim number first. The number there is 210-368-8498. If anyone has a claim that was not processed to satisfaction they can contact this agent for further investigation. The 40+ postal veteran that handled my claim was very helpful and after listening to several other problems I've had said that it may take a visit by an agent to find and fix the problems in our local office. We should all be proactive in fixing our local post office. We can have better.
Constant busy signal. Will file a complaint. Repeatedly do not pick up outgoing mail, even when dropping off incoming mail. That is certainly perplexing. With packages, I have been told that they will "swing by" and pick them up on their way back so as not to have to carry but often they do not. Very frustrating. I have rotating carriers and they blame it on each other. We PAY for this service. We should receive it.
I've been trying to call all morning and just get a busy signal. Really a busy signal? This is the most mismanaged operation I have ever seen. They need to fire everyone at this location and start over. They have lost yet another package and promised me it would be delivered yesterday by end of day and it wasn't. It's not that tough people.
They will NEVER answer their phones in Georgetown, TX. I always have to call the main 1-800 number and file a complaint against them. Then, and it seems only then, will they submit the problem to the Regional Office in San Antonio, TX and then someone there does forward the complaints and I actually got a response from them and the mail carrier. All our mail was being delivered to the wrong addresses up and down our street, even my new credit cards, etc. If I were you I would look up the 1-800 number under United States Government Postal Listing..... and be firm and tell them you want to file a claim!!!
I ordered a package with ups delivery. They gave it to the local post office to deliver to me in Sun City. Local post office says it has been delivered when in fact it has not. This has also happened to my neighbor. I would like to have some help, but can't get anyone to answer the phone.
No one answers the phone. I think they do that so they don't have to answer questions....like someone stole $ from my daughters card last week. I put her card in the mailbox outside (it was after hours) and when she received it the bottom had been opened and carefully sealed back up. The card arrived minus the cash! Has anyone else had things taken out of their mail?
I put my sons bday card outgoing in a cluster mailbox in a residential outgoing and it never arrived - I also have problems with phone being answered / very frustrating and they pay big bucks to these people - it seems customer service is not taught or demanded by supervisors / they used to be the best years ago - same thing with most places now - employees seem to want a paycheck but not do the job - ugh
We just now watched our letter carrier stop in front of our house for few minutes, then she left a "sorry we missed you" slip. It would have taken her less time to bring the package to the door. Not too impressed.
Why do you change a postal delivery person without having a replacement. I live in Sun City and the delivery is horrible, no mail, mail to the wrong address, receiving someone else's mail. We are told a permanent route delivery person could be months away so now we have temps which cannot keep up. Post master please fix the problem.
Everyone's comments are spot on. I went to the Georgetown post office today with all documents and children to apply for passports. I had tried to call (mutiple times)for info, but phone was never answered. When I get there, I'm told I need an appointment, but when I said I had called, they told me the phone is in the back so they can't answer it. (I was on several websites beforehand, but none mentioned appointment until I found this one) Next appointment was 2 weeks out. Will try Marble Falls where you don't need an appointment. If that fails will use private service. It's time to stop giving billions of our tax dollars to this inept broken postal service and let them go under. The free market will prevail!!!
There are post offices in ROUND ROCK that do passports never had a problem using them

I have tried calling the post office for 3 days in a row now, and there is ZERO answer. I even tried calling the 1-800 number and still NO ANSWER. Why is it that every government ran organization can't seem to get their sh*t together. Package was suppose to be delivered on 7/3/13, still waiting.....
I have to echo all the preceding comments, and add a few. The employees at this branch could absolutely care less about their customers' needs. Nobody answers the phone, ever. Need to put a vacation hold on your account? Don't use the website, this branch is so totally inept that they cannot process customer requests unless you directly submit them at the counter. Today I sat in my front office overlooking the driveway since 7:00 a.m. I saw the mailperson drive up to my box this afternoon, put in the mail, and drive off. When I retrieved the mail, there was a "sorry we missed you" notice for a parcel delivery there! NO attempt to even bother coming to the door to deliver, apparently making that kind of effort is 'above and beyond' their job requirements! Someone (likely many people) needs to get canned and taken off our (the taxpayers') payroll at this branch!!
Unfortunately, I am in agreement with the other responses. This Post Office is terrible. Since we have moved to our new home here in Georgetown, we have not received a single package without making a huge stink and filing complaints. Every package had been scanned in as delivered, but lo and behold- they still had it! So much for paying rush shipping on anything, they don't seem to understand the concept of mail delivery in the first place, forget about being on time with it! Our neighbors are also new and we are constantly having to swap mail. It's pathetic. Get your act together!
No one answers the phone at this place. Just want to check on a birthday package I sent my son. WOW do any of the managers read this stuff? Looking at other comments below, this office sounds terrible and clearly no one seems cares. I used to feel sorry that the Post Office was being put out of biz, not anymore.
I also tried to call the passport number that is listed on the US Passport website. After 5 attempts and no answer, I called the main number. The person said that the line is not working. According to these post, it has been broke for a might long time. It is shameful. So after waiting for 5 minutes on hold for the person to return with available appointment times, I hung up and called back. Now why did I do that....the phone just rings busy now. I honestly think they left the phone off-hook on purpose.
I've been hassled every time I try to send a package. One time, the woman refused to take my package because I put a card inside. Another time, a different woman refused because I had used Scotch tape to secure my gift box. ??? I just end up using to automated machine and sending it myself whenever possible. Today I called to make a request that the mail carrier stop delivering the wrong mail to our box. I have sent back and re-received the same two letters, three times now. My call just rang and rang until dropped on all four of my attempts to call through. Is this what our tax dollars are paying for?
Try mailbox drop on Williams dr. I don't even mess with the main post office at all. The drop place is x to Parco.

Extremely Irritated Customer
I am so frustrated. I have been trying to get in touch with the post office for days to make an appointment to get a passport and nobody will freaking answer the phone. They only do passports by an appointment but how in the world are you supposed to make an appointment if they won't answer the phone?
Why don't they answer their phone? They can use for out going but not incoming? My Post Office up in Virginia screwed up and put the wrong zip code on a time sensitive package going to Georgetown. It's stuck in HYE, TX and they don't answer their phone either. Nice job and they b**** about losing money each year. Too bad they don't go back to the old days and have some respect for their people and have a little pride in their job.
This is the worst post office in existence. They seem to always be delivering my neighborhood's mail to the wrong address (3 instances the day of this posting). When you call, no one answers. This post office is the poster child for why the USPS is going bankrupt. Absolutely horrible.
I also get other peoples mail. It's only when our regular lady is off work.

I'm always pissed at how this post office works. It's been 3 times they don't pick up my outgoing mail even though I'm careful enough to leave a note on my mailbox saying there's outgoing mail inside. My outgoing mail just sat in my mailbox for 2 days. And I already talked to the mailman who delivers in my area about this and he says he always picks up outgoing mail. Then I don't know why he doesn't pick mine up. Moreover, my package was on the way for delivery to me yesterday. At least that's what it says on the usps tracking page. But it's been 2 days and I never see my package. When I tried calling them, the phone kept ringing until it hung up by itself. And when I tried calling again a few times later, it just didn't connect anymore. Now I see why many people hate this post office.
These people at Georgetown USPS are absolute morons, completely incompetent. Every supervisor I have spoken to tells me a different story. DO NOT USE GEORGETOWN USPS. Get a P.O. Box in Weir! It's worth the drive.
