Worst post office in the history of post offices possibly ever. Failed to deliver mail on three separate occasions. Two of those times labeling them as “delivered”. This service is an embarrassment to all Americans and should be completely abolished and all employees fired immediately. Anytime USPS is in charge of my mail, I am confident that it will never reach my custody. God Bless America.
Our mail carrier lady is never in uniform in fact she always looks very dirty. She wears day after day a hoodie that is very very soiled with actual dirt. I have never seen a carrier anyway with such an appearance. She does not wear a mask when entering the business and it is clearly posted on the entrance doors. This is not what I think the US Postal Service would approve of the disregarding a state wide safety measure or her unprofessional appearance.I hope that someone addresses this matter.
I just visited the Grantville post office for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't get the names of the employees who served me. The woman who served me was lacking in customer service skills. It appeared she just didn't care. She was cryptic and abrupt. No smiles, but eagerly chomping on gum while she moved to the beat of the music. Her expressions were deadpan, could not answer my questions and didn't even seem interested enough to try. She did however offer to get the supervisor.
The supervisor was friendly, helpful and totally educated in how to deal with customers. He answered my question as best he could and offered to get back to me with answers. My question involved a notice I received regarding a package I needed to sign for. No postal service had come to my door (I was home 3 days in a row). I waited to go to the post office in hopes it would be delivered & also because usually if you go too soon they tell you it's on the truck for delivery.
This is the first time I have every experienced rude behavior from a postal employee. Usually they have good customer service skills. Perhaps the woman I dealt with today is not in the right job. As sometimes happens people work in jobs they don't like, are bored or just don't have the impetus to change. Having been a County employee for 14 years it is generally a job where you are dealing with all kinds of people and must learn the skills to be pleasant ,as well as, patient when they are not. I was displeased with the bother of having to go to the pist office, but not rude or angry. I don't believe it was me though because she had the same manner with each customer who followed me. By choice...I would not return to this post office unless forced even though it is very close to my home.
