I am both sorry and surprised to see so many complaints about this post office. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Staff at the post office have been friendly, efficient and helpful as have the delivery people. Yes, sometimes mail may be late or lost and wait times in the office may be longer than we would like, but perhaps we could all stand to be a little more patient and understanding.

I use this post office almost daily.. Today I arrived at 3:30. There were 7 people ahead of me and one at the counter. But I decided to wait. In the meantime 5 more people joined the line. Finally at 3:50 I decided to leave. I had been standing the entire time and I have a bad leg. When I left only 3 people had been waited on. IT IS THE FACT THAT THERE WAS ONLY ONE, I REPEAT ONE,CLERK. No one called for help and the person in charge, if there was one, should have taken note of the situation. It 's times like this thast people say t he service is terrible. I will have to make a special trip tomorrow to mail the items I had. Fortunately mailing them a day later is not a game changer

Worst service, I have a po box at this location. A storm took out my mailbox and I'm waiting to get a new one put I'm. Now the post office returned all of my mail back to the sender despite me having a po box. Idiots!

Ordered new plates from DMV. Received the registration but not the plates after 6 weeks. Called the post office to see if they had it on hold. Was told there was nothing on hold. And supervisor would call back. Never heard. Three months later, still no plates. Filled out DMV form for missing plates. Received new ones and the one ordered 3 months ago on the same day, with HOLD written on package for previous one! Horrible service.

The worse service ever. I live here 20 years and every month I have someone mail in my mail box and look I make complain to the supervisor and his answer was..: oooo must be another driver 😏😏. Other places they walk house to house. Here they drive and live your mail across the street. Now my problem is I order 15 pounds lifting weights and they put it inside my mailbox and broke it. Now I left it broken for over 2 months and hers going crazy because it feels down every time he put something there. My house camera can’t catch but I will be hitting one day on the bushings and I will record him dropping my mail box because he is furious. My mail box every day for the past 2 weeks is on the ground, I get my mail and I put my mail box in place but he dropped it . Remember he broke I never fixed and just now after 2 months for about 2 weeks mail mailbox is on the ground. I will catch you my friend don’t worry.🧐🧐🧐

No wonder most other reviews are negative. It is the worst PO that I ever had to deal with. I am waiting for a package of meds that were shipped Dec. 2nd. I have called many times about this package but no one answers the phone. I went personally to the PO and they could only tell me that the package was still in transit even though tracking showed it was in White Plains a week ago it was then shipped to New Jersey for some reason they could not explain. Conversely, all my packages shipped with UPS or FEDEX arrive promptly. They do not even have the "medal of honor" stamps I like to use as a veteran. Bad news location.

They are very slow and they can’t have one person when there are 10 people on line or more! I love my mail lady...she is so nice and goes out of her way to deliver! Nancy is her name!

Waiting for a package that says it was delivered to my house. This isnt the first time this has happened. this also happens with my Amazon orders. Tracking # 9261290277946700012844 was NOT delivered to my home on Saturday July 25th though it says it was along with tracking # 9261290198192283247720. There were 2 separate bags from Hanes. I gave it another business day which was yesterday Monday but the package is still not here. Please research this order. Thank you. Carol Lang, 18 Bryant Rd. Carmel, NY

You are all awesome. Got a package on Sunday 7/5. All of our mail/ packages have been delivered on time or even earlier than expected date. You have been valued first responders throughout this whole pandemic and your mail carriers do it with a smile and humor. Thankyou so much!!!

My Amazon package was delivered today in the pouring rain. It was left outside the garage door, while there is an obvious covered front porch close by. There was no plastic around it. The box was soaked and fell apart in my hands. The contents were mostly paper goods. Some were wet, but don’t appear ruined. This is inconsiderate, lazy, and thoughtless. Please ask the mail carrier to be more careful in the future. This was on Lake Gilead Road in Carmel, NY 10512. Thank you.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Always loosing my packages. When I call they let it ring until someone just picks up and then hangs up! Mailman just drives by without delivering any mail to me when I have been waiting for important documents that I know were shipped. Shoved a box so hard in my mailbox that it broke the box door.

Lately there's been a problem with my mail service. To many days I'm not getting any. Today I watched the courier drive by my mailbox twice, My flag has been up since Fri. with mail that belongs to other people. Delivered to me by mistake. He did deliver to my neighbors across the street.

Sent multiple packages with tracking, all but one got to where it needed to go. The last one said it was received at St. Louis Network Distribution Center on 7/718 and on July 8, 2018 was "in transit" to next facility and has said that now for 2 days. Tried finding it to no avail. Finally called Carmel USPS for help but still cannot find my package :( The men and women who work at Carmel are awesome.

I have IRS letters not being delivered to the house. I am getting notifications via e-mail that my letters are being sent back but somehow some make it through. My college transcripts are being sent back because the post office sends it back as "un-deliverable" If US federal government can't get through... perhaps it is time to privatize the entire system.

I guess the guy who was supposed to deliver my package was feeling lazy today. I saw him drive by my house without even attempting to stop. My daughters formula was in that box. I'm a special needs mother and I cannot buy her formula in stores. I had to wait outside for him to come back up the other side to get my package, otherwise, I would not have received it. As a special needs mother who receives much of her daughters supplies and formula in the mail, this is unacceptable. Where is Nancy? I hope she's not gone for good. Nancy is awesome!!

We have had Jim since I moved to Carmel in 1999. Jim handles every package and letter as though it was his own. Times when he is on vacation or not working his absence is defineately apparent. Thank, you Jim.

There is a serious policy problem at this post office. Packages should be delivered to homes. We pay for this delivery service. UPS and FE deliver to homes. The USPS either does not even attempt to deliver or drops it at the rural mail box. Both are unacceptable. Do your job. There is no wonder the USPS is the service of last resort.

My mailman is very lazy. Every time there is a package to drop off he just puts a "sorry i missed you" notice without ever trying to contact us. If he doesn't want to get out of his truck to do his job then he shouldn't work there. Its ridiculous that i always have to drive to the post office even if i am home to receive a package. Get new workers!
