Before leaving for vacation on July 18th, I placed a HOLD on my mail and requested that it be delivered to me again on August 8th. I did not receive my mail on the 8th, or the 9th so I called the Northeast Call Center to request its delivery. I was reassured that I would receive it the next day on August 10th. Nothing arrived on that day and nothing arrived on the 11th or 12th of August. This morning, August 14, after trying numerous times to call the Distribution Center in Chelsea, I went to there in person and requested all my mail. My box of mail had been sitting there all this time and was never was taken out by the mailman for delivery to me. Obviously, there is a beginning and an end to the Mail Hold period and the dates must be respected by the employees of the USPS. It is completely arrogant and unacceptable for a federal agency to function in such an irresponsible manner. I do not understand how this could happen. There is a huge amount of incompetence and laziness in the Chelsea facility that is UNACCEPTABLE!!!

What is going on at the Chelsea post office? Time to get the postal inspectors down to that office. They don't answer the phone and on line is totally useless. I guess the postal service has hit the end of the line, time to close it down, put and end to it, because it just doesn't work anymore. All I get is delayed packages, lost packages, misdelivered packages and letters its a total disgrace to what the postal service used to be. You can't run a business this way and survive. Your are taking lots of money out of our pockets for services that you do not provide. I guess its time to contact a Senator or someone who can make sense of what is going on in the postal service. This is the end of my contact with the postal service as I will now pay my bills on line and use only FedEx or UPS which I will gladly pay extra money for the services I need. I just hung on the phone for 45 mins and the person at the other end hung up on me. GOODBYE POSTAL SERVICE IT WAS NICE KNOWING YOU BUT IT APPEARS YOU HAVE DIED.

I have not received mail since last Monday October 19th. I talked to someone yesterday the 23rd and the told no mail was being held. They said that they would notify the supervisor to check with the carrier on Saturday 24th . As of 1:00pm Saturday no mail has been received. I have lived at this location for over 50 years and until recently mail delivery has been a problem . I would like someone to respond to me regarding this matter. I am 77 years old and have difficulty getting around, mail is important to me.

@Frank Rigolini this is a random website that is not affiliated with the actual US Post Office; hopefully you were able to get your delivery issue sorted out. The problem I’m having is precisely that I can’t seem to get in touch directly with the chelsea annex - I keep getting referred to the main USPS customer help line, which was a two hour wait in more ‘normal’ times and utterly unusable now. Wish they had a working direct line (that’s easy to find).
