I have complained to the regional post office in Jacksonville Fla about Richmond Hill Post Office in the past (over 5 years ago) but apparently it has little effect. We have had mis-delivered mail (which has included bank statements and bank checks that had been ordered). We have just returned from a trip with a HOLD mail on our address. We finally drove to the post office to get our mail since it was 2 days late being delivered. Their excuse is always the same. We've had a temporary mailperson delivering that route OR we're under staffed) and I'm (the post offuce manager) trying to help as best I can. I mentioned to her that I tried to call at least 10 times around 2pm and no ever answered. She said she was too busy helping in sorting and was not around the phone. This post office NEVER answers their phone. Once again, the same excuses that were used 5+years ago. We picked up our HOLD mail that was 2 days overdue and left. I have lived in various areas (Alpharetta,GA, Dunwoody, GA, St. Simons GA, and Palm City, FLA) and have never had these problems. Once again I say this is the most incompetent post office ever ANYWHERE !!

Hands down to the worst post office. I didn’t know how bad this place was until today. The lady that process passports is completely rude and with an attitude. She didn’t have her name tag. I came into this post office because I made an appointment to renew my children passport. As soon I went to the counter she didn’t say anything so I told her what I was there for. She threw me a piece a paper to read without any communication. The only communication was when she asked me about the application which I noticed she refused to get the papers. My DS-5525 was a photocopy and not the original form. She didn’t make the effort to talk to me or ti make sure my next appointment is scheduled or even to look at all my documents are completed for my next appointment. She didn’t say “Have a Good Day”and I noticed she turned around. She pretty much didn’t care and I regret no saying anything to her.I have been calling several times to speak with the post master but nobody answer the phone.

Worst services imaginable. I have two packages being held at the post office in error. I called the post office 16 times this morning and no one answered call. 16 times an no answer?

I had one package that ended in up in Savannah after being delivered to Richmond Hill post office. Called and got through. I was told my package was in Jacksonville.30 minutes later it was delivered to my door. The next week I ordered something it made it's way fine until it got delivered to Richmond Hill post office. I gotta notice via informed delivery that it was in my mailbox. It was not there money down the drain.

I was extremely nervous after reading all the negative reviews. We're about to move to Richmond Hill and having a terrible USPS is not good for business! Based on the reviews, I decided to call UPS first. Ironically, they didn't answer so I couldn't get information about their private mail boxes. So, with fingers crossed, I tried calling the Richmond Hill USPS branch. Despite reviews talking about how no one ever answers their phone, Carla answered in a matter of seconds! Great way to start! I asked her all kinds of information about how to get a private mail box from them and thinking "this page" was the only one – no. Carla walked me through, having me start at the "correct online web page". Thank you Carla! If you think this is their web page, think again! Go to usps.com and from there you can enter the location you need. In the end, Carla was extremely helpful, very professional and personable. I felt her smile through the phone. Because of her, I secured a private mail box and look forward to a great working relationship with USPS in Richmond Hill for my future business endeavors. Thank you again Carla!

Calling this Post Office is a lost case. Calling is no use it moves you to the operator, operator never answers and then there is no way you can leave a message... ???

I had to call because of a delayed package. It took a few times to get through but I just spoke to Angela, she was more helpful than anyone I have talked to from UPS to USPS main number in Atlanta (nightmare). Thanks again for your help Angela!!

Parcel tracking number 9361289700090524790009 was to be delivered 1/10/2020. Carrier stated that they attempted delivery but was not able to. This cannot be correct because the carrier delivered stamped mail but did not leave parcel. I have an oversized mail box just to accommodate such deliveries. The carrier also stated that the package was being held at the Richmond Hill Post Office at the request of the customer. No such request was ever made. A redelivery request was made at USPS.com for delivery on 1/11/2020. Confirmation #CAR97004882. It is disturbing that integrity becomes an issue with postal service that we depend on for many official functions that affect our daily lives. This is not the first issue, a card was mailed to a college student from our mail box on 9 Nov 2019 that included a small amount of cash. The card was never received. A complaint/tracer was filed with USPS.com. Search ID #7955476.

I am sorry for a nasty email, but I AM TOTALLY FED UP WITH THE RICHMOND HILL POST OFFICE, GEORGIA. Every time we go out of town and put the mail on hold and return they cannot find my mail. I have to tell them to look again for I have been out of town for two or three weeks! They find it (eventually). Today, I went for the hold mail (been out of tow for three weeks). I was told (after the lady looked and looked) that there was no mail there for "Grace Ct - Richmond Hill. I explained that the hold mail was over about 5 or so days ago. I told her I haad ten days to retrieve the mail (which I specified in my hold mail request) that I had ten days to get the mail like I do all the time. She told me there was no mail there for Grace Ct! I told her great, it must be with the carrier for we usually get a tub full of mail. It is now 4:50pm and no mail!!!!! Another complaint: When I try to call the Richmond Hill post office, they never, NEVER, NEVER answer the darn phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to call you USPS in the sky) and after 20 minutes I hung up!!!!!!!!!!! Just what is with this sorry organization???????? Ya'll (collectively) are disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! I know I have bills that need attention and they are in the mail wherever the heck the mail is!?!??!?! Am I angry? Darn right and rightfully so!!!!! This post office has a "TWO STAR RATING" DUH??? WONDER WHY???? If you need a competent person to run the thing, I am a retired officer, commanded from platoon to brigade level in the United States Army, ran a top secret processing facility, several division data centers, etc and will be more than willing to come out of retirement to fix the Richmond Hill Post Office!!!!!!!!!!!! Call me: (727) 600-0064!!!!!!!!!! More than likely you will not and I still will not have my mail!!!!!!!! :-( YES YES YES!!!!!!!!! I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED AND TICKED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Waterways, Richmond Hill, GA at 52 Bradford Pear Dr. According to our neighborhood Facebook page, residents here are constantly having their mail mis-delivered. There are only 4 residences on my street. I have already had 2 mis-deliveries. 1 package was placed in my neighbor's (community) mailbox. Saturday, a package from Amazon was not delivered to me. Per Amazon web site, the package was personally delivered. This package is still missing. Please encourage your carriers to be more careful!

Just thought I’d post a comment after reading the negative posts. We’ve been dealing with this PO regularly for 15 years & have consistently received great customer service. Keep it up, guys! You ARE appreciated!

Horrible. They are completely understaffed for the size of the town. The waiting time is usually an hour to an hour and a half. I thought the post office was struggling but when you understaff you make people go to UPS to Fedex

I do tens of thousands of dollars of business with USPS. This is the WORST post office I have been to in my life. The guy with the beard is the worst postal worker I have ever dealt with. I am now considering taking ALL my business over to UPS or FedEx because of him, and my experiences here.

The driver for Camellia St delivered a package to our front door and ran over one of our driveway lights on their way back to the street, the light is completely ruined.
