This post office never answers their phone, I had a interoffice question aboupackage policy and they never answer their phone.. Pointless to call the usps number for this question..
Why do the rural carriers refuse to deliver packages that require them to lift their backside out of the seat and deliver to the front door? Amazon, UPS, and FEDEX all do their jobs and bring packages to the door. This is perhaps why the USPS is so dysfunctional and incompetent losing money every year.
I lost my key! After 14 years I lost my mailbox key! I have filled out cards, talked to Postmaster three times, drove to post office five times..... I was told by postmaster this lock is hard to replace. I have my medication coming to my mailbox. My mailman is not any help at all. Does not hold my mail at post office! I have lost deliveries that I paid for not delivered. Can someone lease help me to get my mail????
My change of address has been in since March 24th and for some reason most of my mail is going to my old address. I called Georgetown office and never got a call back. I have had packages delivered at the old address and also had packages delivered to my new correct address. I had to pay postage on one of my packages but my mail still can't find its way to my new address which is causing a lot of problems. If you cant do the job you need to get a new one.
I have had a horrible experience. It has been three weeks and I have yet to get my mail. I did a change of address before I moved a month ago. The post office said I have to bring in a lease or mortgage to prove that I live there in which I did. I was told I had to pay $22.00 to change lock on mail box. which was untrue. I only needed to pay if I had lost a key. I just moved into the residence. My mail carrier is 10 miles from where I live and the Ellendale office said I needed to go to the Georgetown office. I went there and no one seemed to know where my mail is. They said possibly in the mailbox? This experience has been unacceptable. No one seemed to know what to do including the post master. I am a very reasonable person but this has been over the top.
Why don't they have automatic doors on the Georgetown post office?
There are ADA regulations for handicapped accessibility and it appears the 115 King St. Georgetown Delaware Post Office is out of compliance with the regulations.
When are you going to put the automatic doors in so I can get inside the post office without having to wait for someone to hold the doors open.
I shouldn't have to call in advance and pull someone away from their job in order to have them open the door when I should be able to be independent and just push a button and go in as well as come back out.
Why do I and everyone else in our Park keep getting everybody elses mail?For the 15 years I've lived here. (Georgetown) You have constantly miss-delivered and lost my mail and packages. Costing me Thousands of dollars!? We all have filed complaints but, have never gotten response. When forms are filed and mailed out. I don't think they make it past you.. To the main office. I got a notice on ebay that you couldn't deliver a package yesterday! Whats up with that!!? I'm sick of this!! There's no reason that package won't fit in my mailbox!! its only about 6"x2" item.. I am very ill and on oxygen. If you lose this or I have to come in there to get it. YOUR NOT GOING TO LIKE ME AT ALL !!! I will bring a cop with me.. as a witness But, I am also going to be "VERY LOAD AND DISRESPECTFUL and accompanied by other home owners in my park !!" There will also be "TV" coverage !! This has got to stop and if your people can't or are just to damn lazy to do their job.. FIRE THEM !!!
