Last month I did not receive mail for a several days in a row, which never happens in my business. I emailed the postmaster and within 24 hours he replied stating that he had spoken with my mail carrier and everything had been delivered accordingly, and no hold had been mistaken placed on my mail. I attribute the delay to COVID... I appreciated the prompt and courteous response.
We use to have a great mail guy, Orlando, and before him other good mailmen.....then a guy, who happens to be black, took over. He always has a set of ear plugs, talking on the phone or listening to BS hate music and Not paying attention to his J O B, delivering the mail. Recently, I didn't receive my SS check, and they are never late, they always come on the exact day of the month, could it be he was so busy talking on his phone, he put in in the wrong slot...? You bet it's possible, more probable than possible. And when I called, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE AT USPS ON ABILENE, EVER!
What type of Mickey Mouse operation has delivery carriers who can not lift 7lbs? That's the reason that was given for my package not being delivered on the scheduled day. Then I spent 4 hours being hung up on and placed on hold only to be told someone will get beck to me in 2-4 business days. . .
