Have had issues reaching this office for years. They do not pick up their phones. I record all of my phone calls for safety reasons (past dv) but also for shit like this.. I called for 30 minutes and finally someone picked up, could hear them breathing, I said hello and they immediately put me on hold.. for a whole 5 seconds, before hanging up on me. In the past, I have driven to the post office, parked in the front where I can see the employees inside, and made phone calls just to watch them ignore it despite there being no customers inside. I even went in while discreetly placing a phone call and said, "no please, answer that before helping me, I can wait" but the employee just shrugged it off and let it ring. I called again as I was walking out (i was the only customer) and never got an answer, and I drove a little ways and called a few more times, with no answer. They truly are lazy here, and provide no customer service. If someone with disabilities needed to reach the post office same-day but was physically unable to get there, that's on the post office. Remember that guy who went around suing everyone locally for ADA violations? I hope someone finds a way to sue the shit out of this post office for not providing accessible service. It would improve this problem for everyone.
Our company switched all of our deliveries to the post office. Not certain if this was a great idea since they do not answer their phone. rings and rings and then line is busy.
We have spent at least $5k over the last 6 months we may go back to the other service. even if it costs more.

Manteca ca post office on Maple St ....Been having issues with them not unlocking the doors to the lobby at 6am so I can get my mail from PO Box This has been the 3rd time now in a month. Someone needs more trainings
I have been having repeated issues with my carriers putting packages in my mailbox that I cannot get out. I have one of those community boxes and he can't seem to understand that the back end where he puts the mail is larger than the front side where the door is. My front porch is literally 25 ft from the box, but he can't walk or drive to the front of my house to drop it off. He has damaged 2 sets of photos by stuffing them in there as well. I have filed complaints against them twice, but it continues to happen. So frustrating!!!
The Manteca Main Post Office DOES NOT ANSWER PHONE CALLS. After ringing several times, someone there disconnects the calls. OUTRAGEOUS!!
This is an ongoing problem as evidenced by other comments below. Upper management review is warranted!
I need to know how to stop junk mail from being delivered to my mailbox. I received a note from my mail lady that I need to pick up my mail more frequently. I am disabled and it is very difficult for me to do so. One of the problems is that the post office delivers lots of junk mail that is not even addressed to me. Another problem is the mail lady puts packages of clothing in the mailbox when they should probably be placed on my porch. I order a lot online because I am disabled. What can be done to resolve this problem? In addition, the note she wrote to me has many misspelled words and is not professional. I spent two hours calling and emailing the companies that are sending me magazines, brochures etc which I did not request or want. I have also added my number and address to a national do not call or send mail to list. I would appreciate an expedited response. Thank you.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THIS OFFICE FOR 5 DAYS AND NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. I EITHER HAVE A NEW MAIL PERSON OR A SUB BECAUSE MY MAIL HAS BEEN PUT IN THE WRONG MAIL BOX SEVERAL TIMES AND THE WEEKLY GROCERY ADS ARE NOT BEING DELIVERED. CAN'T YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OR DO I HAVE TO SEND A COPY TO THE POSTMASTER GENERAL?
Tried to get some information and it is physically impossible to speak to a person without going to the post office. If you call the local number it rings about 8 or 9 times and then disconnects. If you try to call the 800 number it is a soul crushing automated system that will not let you choose anything other than the choices they have set-up and there is no option to speak to a real person.
It's very clear why everyone uses UPS or Fed-Ex over the post office, they could care less about customer service.

I called yesterday to see why a package has not updated since June 23, it was out for delivery and then nothing after that, the package was never received. I spoke with the supervisor at this office and he told me that he would check today with the carrier and call me back. I have called about every 3 to 5 minutes today since 11 am CST and the line is busy, I'm sorry but this is poor customer service. There is no way that they have been on the phone all day long and I have not received a phone call from him!!!! This is a bunch a bullcrap!!!!!
