This post office has no respect for their customers property. Mail carriers continuesly walk on the grass leaving a path we have to repair. We have invested alot of time and money to get a halfway decent lawn. I talked to the carrier and she said the procedure is to cut across the grass to save time on delivery. They want their employees to disrespect customers property? A supervisor called to tell me that the post office policy is to cut across the lawn. Unless someone complains???? The supervisor debra doss from garden city office was very rude. She just called to tell me how its going to be...didnt care what i thought or the work and money we have put into our lawn. Some of the carriers purposly upset the dogs encouraging them to jump at the windows. i know of three people that have had to replace their picture window due to the seal breaking and the gas between the glass to come out causing moisture and fog to get between the glass. Maybe the carriers can walk a little faster instead of mosseying along and stopping to chat or smoke at their truck. Ive never put in a complaint till now because it is getting out of hand. Their are alot of important jobs out there that need to be done in a timely manner. Im sure their are ways to do that without costing their customer time and money. Ive never seen an ambulance or police car drive on the lawns or side walks due to heavy traffic...postal carriers make decent money/benefits and should have respect to do their job to the best of their ability without causing destruction to property. Mail carriers have access to my mail box by way of walkway to my front door. My company and my family do not walk on my grass why should the mail carrier have that right. Even the police department has to use my walkway to my door otherwise they are tresspassing. Thank you liz
