I received an opened and scotch taped bank statement in my mailbox on 1/9/20, and believe my personal information has been compromised.
This is a formal complaint about mail delivery security on Bolton Way in Benicia, CA.
I have read the comments below , 1. the employees in the post office are always nice they start their days with smiles, and then a bomb of a over privledged person who is rude and in a hurry ruins there day and focus. I spent my life waiting in lines in the military, in stores, things take time, not every one is bright happy smiles they are just reserved and don't up they selves out there it does not make them rude. Be kind.
My daughter also served and non of us can understand why people are rude and always in such a hurry. Just be kind.

I hate going to this post office. The staff is rude, and Kim is downright insulting. She was rude to me right in front of her supervisor who was also rude. They also insult the other staff, saying the information that was given to me was incorrect because their staff was misinformed. Isn't it the supervisors job to inform the staff?
To the staff of the Benicia Post Office: Thank You!
You help make my day-to-day critical (hard copy, not internet based) transactions tolerable, you are all always quick to patiently show me or my wife the best method to mail, document, track and complete our business and personal items with the knowledge and confidence that any critical correspondence or simple bill or letter is efficiently and securely on its way to its destination.
It all might appear so simple (to mail and deliver mail) but it obviously is not so simple. So know that at least from the perspective of most of your customer base is that your professionalism is recognized and appreciated, and though yes, that at times it may not be appreciated by the vocal few, overall your service is fantastic and keep up the good work.
From our viewpoint, you do your jobs with grace and amazing patience while dealing with a broad range of personalities and needs where at times there are those that walk in and have a certain "fast food" expectation of the myriad of services offered by the USPO (ever try to go to the American Consulate for a Passport? That's a Pain).
We take things for granted in this society sometimes and maybe we might consider if the USPO was privatized we all might quickly realize and long for the days when your provided amazing services have left us and it all for a fraction of what those costs would be otherwise.
Thanks! Dennis
I called about renewing a passport on Wednesday at 2:45. After listening to the recorded message I opted "speak to the next available person". The phone rang about 25 times. No one answered. Then I got a double -busy sound, and gave up. Not very good service.
I came in to the Benicia Post Office yesterday, Tuesday April 24, 2018 around 3:30PM. I had to send a letter registered or certified, wasn't sure. Was called up to desk by only female clerk on duty - "next customer" - in a robotic voice. She was unkind and unprofessional in her manner of advising me to dens the letter registered or certified. I was the directed to fill out certified mail forms - then presented them to her and she acted in an unfriendly, dictatorial manner. She chastised me for not leaving enough room on the front envelope for the mailing or postage label.
The bottom line: this is poor customer service. I felt demeaned and insulted, Either remove this woman and teach her how to help customers in a polite, friendly manner - or let her go. Will never come back to this location, will go to Vallejo Admiral Callaghan branch for friendly, professional service.
So they don't submit it if its a renewal after a year, were not helpful in the least and told me to go somewhere else to do my photo. Guess its just too much work to do your job!
