I dont quite know what is happening here but over the weekend our mailbox with countless others here on the same block were left wide open. We are all businesses here with highly confidential information that you are delivering to us. Please respect our needs Jesse VanRite

To the DePere Post Office. On Nov. 2nd we were notified by a passerby that mail was dumped in a field driveway on School Road. We went and gathered the mail that was suppose to be in mailboxes on October 31st for our neighbors on School Road and returned it to where it belonged. Envelopes were opened but any with checks in them were left or found nearby. One piece of mail was suppose to be sent out and not even mailed yet was also in the midst of the found mail. We have informed everyone on the section of School Road between HWY'S 57 and PP about what happened and not to leave their mail in the mailbox over night. I am informing you, the post office, of this because you should know about it. While contacting neighbors about the vandalism I was also informed about a lot of issues with our current mail carrier named Colleen that I am also bringing to your attention. She is telling numerous people to stop ordering packages because she has to deliver them. This is her job. She has been told not to leave packages by front doors of homes and still does. She complains about mailboxes and says she won't deliver mail if not changed. A mailbox IS a mailbox. We are all tired of getting our mail late in the day, sometimes as late as 6 p.m. and now that it's daylight savings we will have to go to the mailbox in the dark again. Some of our neighbors are elderly and should not be getting mail in the dark, especially in the winter months. We understand we are at the end of her route but please consider exchanging Greenleaf route 1with Greenleaf route 2 to be fair or advise the carrier to start earlier. Another alternative would be to divide the route with someone who can handle it. Mail has been delivered to the wrong address and it can happen but it happens more when she delivers the mail in the dark during the winter months. I also learned that she had a dog in the mail car with her one day this summer that was not hers. She told a lady on School Road that she felt the dog was mistreated and wanted that lady to take the dog. This is NOT her job and especially while she is on the job working for the USPS. On our behalf, please tell her to just do what she was hired to do. Thank you for your time.
