We have informed delivery and not getting our mail. They won't answer the phone so we can't even talk to them. Guess there iit's time to file another IG complaint. We have to do this every year until they get the ass chewed by the reginal complaint police
I have not received any mail for over a week. I have USPS informed deliver, so I see that there is mail that is SUPPOSED to be delivered, but it has not. I have tried to call numerous times, and they just don't care enough to answer. Sumner post office sucks
Absolutely the worst post office !!!!! Nobody has a sense of urgency, Employees are rude and have no manners..... They could care less about you getting your pkg/mail ... I think it’s time to stand back and watch So you can see for yourself unless it stems from the top.... Absolutely unacceptable
This has to be the absolute worst USPS I have ever dealt with. Every single package they deliver to me is given to the wrong address. Then when I call them to complain during business hours, no one answers the phone and I cannot leave a voicemail. I have done everything I can to make it obviously for our mail lady to deliver to my address. I have put my house number on the house, next to the road above my house and on my mailbox. If it’s that difficult for her she should not be delivering mail. This is her 8th time messing up my delivery. Half of the other times I never got my package so I had to contact the dealer and get a new one shipped.
I Phoned during business hours with a question about a package that arrived in Sumner last month and has not yet been delivered. Phone tree led me to press 1 for tracking and deliveries. Pressed 1 -- After about 125 rings, call was disconnected. Called back -- phone tree says stay on line -- operator will take my call shortly. Stayed on line -- this time call was disconnect after only four rings. Lesson: Stay on line for operator -- less time wasted for the same results!
I have tried calling multiple times, choose 1, rings forever, disconnects. Choose nothing, rings forever, disconnects. Very frustrating.

Attempt of package delivery on 4/16/21. Package too large for parcel box. Yellow redeliver form left in my mailbox. Form filled out to redeliver on 4/19/21 and leave package at front door. Form put back in mailbox as per postal instructions. 4/19/21 came and went, no package. Postal website visited on the morning of 4/21/21 and form filled out to redeliver package on 4/22/21 and leave at front door even if nobody is home. Confirmation number received from USPS at 9:28 am that package would be delivered on 4/22/21. 4/22/21 came and went, no package....however I found what appears to be a printed at home white copy of the USPS yellow redeliver form in my mailbox. What is going on? Funny thing is, you can see my home from the mail delivery boxes. Something is not right with the Sumner Postal Service and they need to be investigated.
I'm not happy I have three packages that USPS were suppose to ship, normally I don't have any issues, but now two of my packages were said to be attempted to be delivered. Both times they said my apartment complex does not exist, my last package was suppose to be delivered yesterday 3/6/2021, they said they delivered it but I have nothing. No keys to my parcel box no notice nothing. I had to request from the vendor I bought my products from refunds because of how lousy this service is from USPS. Why is this happening? How do you lose 500 dollars worth of merchandise? Do you not care about the people you service that much that you lie and steal from them? This is ridiculous.
I mailed two Christmas cards and a letter from my home in Sumner, WA at 154th Ave Ct E. on Dec 21, 2020.
They still have not been delivered. One was addressed to SeaTac WA, the other to Mt Angel, OR and the letter to North Bend WA!

IT'S NOT JUST THE SUMNER POST OFFICE, IT'S EVERY POST OFFICE ACROSS THIS COUNTRY. ONE OF MY PACKAGES THAT WAS SENT FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY SAT AT VISTA, CA POST OFFICE FOR 11 DAYS, THEN THEY SENT IT TO TEXAS, THEN BACK TO LOS ANGELES. I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR AT LEAST 2 MONTHS FOR MY PACKAGE TO ARRIVE. I TRIED AND TRIED AND TRIED TO CONTACT THEM BUT THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVEN FILE A COMPLAINT. SINCE PRESIDENT TRUMP EMAILS ME A LOT, I SENT HIM COPIES OF ALL THE USPS COMMUNICATIONS THAT WERE SENT TO ME. SUDDENLY I STARTED RECEIVING MY PACKAGES. NOW, I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. I SUGGEST THAT EVERYONE WHO IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE USPS, START DOWNLOADING YOUR CORRESPONDENCE FROM THEM & SEND THEM TO THE WHITE HOUSE IN EMAILS. IF ENOUGH PEOPLE START SHOWING THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE, WE WILL FINALLY GET SOME KIND OF RESPONSE! On April 27th I received message from the Sumner Post Office that my package was delayed for delivery to Republic, WA but would be sent out with 48 hrs. May 4th, still no delivery and found it has never been put into the system. Called numerous times....on hold and then click...busy signal....THIS POST OFFICE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN....OR GET EMPLOYEES WHO PICK UP THE PHONE
Applied for a passport and the lady that worked there at the time turned me away twice. Her reason was I needed proof of a birth certificate and when I showed up the second time she denied my expired passport. She had the time to double check everything but refused to give me service. I would describe her as rude, loud, and ignorant. I do not recommend this place if you value your time.
Applied for a new passport today 5/24/19 and the Sumner Post Office was a joy to work with. My husband and I had a great time and Kathy at the post office was a joy to work with....she did a great job with the photo's too.....thank you for making getting a passport an easy and enjoyable task....
I had them deliver a package and not leave the key then trying to get them to answer is impossible the mail service is a bad joke at best we need to fire everyone apparently and get people there who are able to do the job
I cannot get anyone at USPS, including the 800 access number without a 30-43 minute wait, to answer the phone. The Sumner, WA post office NEVER answers their phone. I need to inform them of a change to our access gate for the Hillcrest Park community. I guess I will have to drive to the PO to get it done. It isn't surprising that the USPS is losing money. Heck of a way to run a business.
For all the customers "who have had it" with the Sumner Post Office. I recommend that everyone contacting the Consumer Affairs Office in Federal Way. It does no real good to complain here (obviously).
The MORE PEOPLE that write or call, the better! I believe the Sumner Post Office knows it has been able to get away with everything, because....they can... and they have, for far too long.

Apparently, my post office has reverted back to Sumner from Bonney Lake, which I'm not pleased about, because it's not convenient for me to go all the way down to Sumner. It's difficult enough getting to Bonney Lake within the limited hours that they are open.
Like the individual below, I've tried calling and get nowhere and cannot to speak to a real person. While in Bonney Lake, I filled out paperwork to have my packages held at the post office, if no one is home when delivered. I need to make sure those directions are still in force and that my packages will be held in Sumner now, if no one is home, rather than left on my porch and I'd like to see if they can be re-delivered on Saturdays only, if no one is home on the first try.
It is no longer safe to leave packages on my porch, if they don't fit into my mailbox. It is also not convenient to get down to the Sumner Post Office with their limited hours and additional traffic concerns.
Being in customer service myself, I appreciate what you do and am aware and sorry for some of the rudeness you have to put up with on a daily basis. However, I also understand people's frustration of not having a way to reach out to a real person for assistance when needed.
Will you please look at a way to address this problem? Our mail is important and we need to have someone to speak to when the need arises.

Every single day in our business park we are delivered someone else's mail and they bring me mail that was in their box. EVERY SINGLE DAY. When I confronted the mail "lady", she literally called me a liar.
Seriously. When I asked her to walk next door to talk to Fastenal, who just that day had handed me a stack of mail that was in their box, she said No. I don't have time. I said, " I don't have time to deliver other tenants mail to them either. She told me she didn't believe me at all. When I told her I had contacted the USPS main phone line and complained, she told me she wouldn't get in trouble because she would tell them exactly what she told me, that I am lying. Can you believe this?? Fire this woman immediately!
I have had my Christmas cards out in my mailbox with the flag out for a week. The mail gets delivered, but the carrier can't even bother grabbing the outgoing mail. So frustrating! I doubt they will get to the people in time for Christmas. The Sumner location is a joke. They have one person waiting on the line that goes out the door. It's been that way for years. They aren't even open on Saturday, so good luck getting any help.
No point leaving a review here apparently it wont help us people in the Sumner PO area. For months now the problem has only worsened. We are not receiving our mail or packages. When we go to the PO they can't find it or claim it is on the truck. Tracking states delivery attempt was made but they aren't being made. There is no one we can call and talk to or e-mail and if we could would it help? a big fat NO!
I have lived at my address for over 20 years, lake tapps. My packages have always been left on my porch. Now I am getting confusing pink failed delivery notices. The post office closes before I can get off work and there is no phone number! My husband had to retrieve one of these packages the other day and stood in line for over an hour! What century are we in? There has to be a better way to for the post office to process our packages!!!!!!!
You must do something about the postal carrier on this route. It is not uncommon to go two and three days without mail. Today they did not pass my house until 7:15 pm. (and left no mail) I live on Tacoma Point. PLEASE address this issue
Where is my mail??? My mail is missing and my package with clothes is missing. It went from "out for delivery" to "ready for pick up" because of either theft of your drivers or your inability to deliver mail. This is ILLEGAL. I have retained an attorney.
The Sumner post office has taken incompetence to a new level. I have lived at my current address for 14 years and deliver has always been less than stellar. I ordered a package a few weeks ago. I was advised that it was delivered last Monday. I did not receive my package. I called the next morning and was advised that it must have been missed delivered. a week and a day later I still don't have my order. Company advised that a different order was delivered. nope order number 2 did not arrive. now I am out two orders and all your people can say it must have been missed delivered. my mailbox is the only one with 3inch numbers on it on my street.

I am sick and tired of this. I have tried several times to call and no one answers. They have no number that allows someone to actually talk to someone. The only option I have about my problem is a carrier issue but it sends you to a tracking issue. WTH. .... It is not a single package that I need corrected. So Sick of this. crap
I have several PO Boxes at this location and have to stand in line at 2pm almost every day, because there in no mail in my boxes. I have complained several times and have still to get this issue resolved been a huge decline in service since November of 2016. I am filing a Fomal complaint with the State and Tacoma distribution Center
I have several business and personal PO boxes at this location, as of November of 2016 there has been a constant delay of mail being delivered into my boxes.. Tues-Wed-Thursday and Saturday almost never have any mail at all, with Friday and Monday being the biggest delivery days?? I have called in 7 times and they are telling me that the delay incoming and outgoing are from the Tacoma Distribution Center.
Poor. Again this weekend was tracking packages. I was so happy they was out for delivery. Sent my friends kid out to get my mail. Because I am disabled. My packages was not there. No note. Checked on line an hour later. There was a thing saying note left. If this didn't happen a lot . I would say ok. If you would just be honest and say. Time did not allow delivery today. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The employees are always helpful and friendly. Had not received a package so went to post office. The lady that helped me (sorry didn't get her name) worked hard and it took a while but she found it! Made my day. Thank you!
I am writing this on behalf of my Uncle & Grandmother who are in this postal District. They haven't recieved their mail in over a week where they live. They watch as the post office delivery truck just drives past their house everyday. My uncle has made several calls to the post office. Only to get a busy signal and ZERO help at all. I've personally watched as the delivery truck just drives on by not even stopping to pick up outgoing mail. This has to change or I will be calling Olympia about this and several complaints that I've had in the past in my postal Jurisdiction.
Seems a PRIORITY letter is not worth finding nor is there really insurance on them as you pay for. I was suppose to get one 2 weeks ago. When running the tracking it was last scanned at the Sumner Post office in Washington state! I have been there 4 times now and they can NOT find it nor do they seem to care. Post Master cant even seem to follow up and give me a call. So Im S.O.L.? after putting extra insurance on it? Cant seem to answer the phone either? WOW you all need to be let go and put someone in there that gives a s%^^#
I have called multiple times over the last few days. Not a single time did anybody answer the phone! I called the 1800 number to try to make an appointment to get my passport. This is very poor customer service!!! You need to fix this. I can see that I am not the only person with this issue.
Why do folks use fedex/ups?: because they deliver and to the correct address. Our regular carrier knew the route and the people so we had fantastic service. She has been off work for a month now and service went downhill. Our current driver doesn't even know what street she is on, much less which mailbox she's at. Continues to mark pkgs on tracking system as delivered at/in mailbox and its not. Or no secure place to leave pkg: too lazy to get out of truck. I have video surveillance of mailbox, driveway and porch........WOULD YOU CONSIDER LOOKING AT MY VIDEOS BEFORE YOU LIE AGAIN?
What the heck is wrong with the sumner post office!! This is the 4th time they have misplaced my packages! Very frustrated! I already filed a complaint with the post office. I don't know why they ask how we would like to be contacted if they don't follow thru!!
I must have the worst USPS worker ever. Missing packages. thrown. crammed. you name it. i work from home an must get a 'sorry we missed you' slip every other package- if it even arrives to begin with!! Shame that the post master does nothing about complaints either. who is the right person to be upset with???
My carrier delivered a package by leaving it on top of my mailbox right off the road. The package was delivered after dark and fortunately was still there in the morning. The package was wet from the rain but at least no one stole it. This has never happened before usually they walk down the driveway and leave it at the front door. Unacceptable but not all that surprising. Use Fedex or UPS the service is much much better.
We just received a package today delivered by one of the Sumner postal carriers. I was home when it was delivered and it was thrown on the front porch by the carrier. On the box were the words "LIQUID FRAGILE" in red. Needless to say the contents were ruined with liquid and broken glass in the box. This is why we prefer to use Fedex and UPS for deliveries. Our US Post Office doesn't care!
$400 worth of packages were never delivered, we have been through a series of efforts to track them down and reorder them. The packages were neverdelievrred due to an unwillingness to do so by the driver on our route. Very very unimpressed that i now cant get anyone to answer the phones.
I'm very tired of this offices unavailable to answer the phone. I call and get only rings until the very I hear screeching noise that causes me to hang up. As I've read I'm not the only who has complained about their phone services and I'm so frustrated that it hasn't been fixed.
So far I am thoroughly unimpressed by this post office. The regular postman is alright. Whoever takes his place on his days off needs to be trained all over again. They are putting mail in the wrong boxes and not delivering other mail. I would have really liked to have my SScard, but of course the post office had to screw that up as well. I normally am not one to complain but enough is enough. It's bad enough that my carrier misdelivers my mail on a regular basis to my neighbors and theirs to me, now she is falsifying her attempts to deliver parcels to me. Instead of trying to deliver parcels to me she just takes them back to the post office. Last week I told her I was expecting a parcel and we agreed upon a location to leave the parcel if I wasn't home. I was home at the date and time she listed on her falsified attempt report. She did not even leave me a notice of attempt, I learned of her falsification through the USPS parcel tracking system. My carrier is not only incompetent and lazy appearing to refuse to do any work that requires her to leave her seat in her truck, worst of all she is also a liar.
This post office is horrible. We cannot get the postal delivery person to close the door on our mailbox (neighbors have the same issue), When confronted she gives ridiculous excuses and refuses to close the mailbox doors. Mail gets wet, blows out, etc.

Their phone number obviously does not work. Rings busy. They have misdelivered my mail OVER AND OVER again. Absolute WORST. I'm beginning to think it's fraud on either the part of workers within the Sumner facility or the actual carrier. If I can't get some kind of answer today I'll just stop and file a police report and the #1 suspect (since I have a locked box) is the carrier.
I called 46 times today and received only rings and no voice mail or human voice. I have been trying to trace and reschedule a package delivery for two weeks and have gotten no where. I went to the PO, they looked for the package, said it wasn't there and that the carrier might have it. The manager said he would call me back. It has been four days and no call back. Unbelievable!
This place is the worst. I have tried to call the manager/supervisor several times. They either just don't answer the phone at all, or when they do, the right person is never available. I actually complained to one of the supervisors, who said he would handle the problem. The next day? Problem still not handled, and now months later it is STILL happening. How is USPS still in business???
worst customer service, have been trying for 2 weeks to get envelopes for my employer. 4 times, they said they would call me back, however not once have i received a phone call. supposedly an order was put thru but they "couldn't find it" they would try to put another order thru. maybe a class on customer service might help.
Worst post office ever. Our mail box key randomly stopped working. Have tried to call the Post Office over 35 times and only get a bust signal or it will ring and ring followed by a loud beep. Can't get into your mail box and can't get our mail. I hope they do shut down this location. I can't believe the poor service. I would avoid this place at all costs! Don't given them a dime of your money.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Any time I have ever had an issue with them they are short with me and very rude and disrespectful. I can't wait until I am able to move out of their service area, they are HORRIBLE. Someone needs to go in there and set a better standard for those employees!
On way home from vacation I stopped to pick up my mail at Sumner Post office.. My held mail was not there.. Supervisor looked twice then told me she couldn't find the place for my address and had to much to do to find my mail.. got home and mail was in my mail box.... What happened to my stop mail???? glad it was a short trip since my mail was out on the street for 4 days!!! Still unhappy with the supervisor attitude about taking to much of her time..0 customer service ...
So I went to the summer post office to mail a small parcel to return a damaged phone. I am poor and had no tape for the top of the box. When I got to this post office I was told I could buy a roll of tape for 3.27 USD. She had tape right next to her. I needed about 10inches of tape max. I was told to use fed ex by the employee who worked there. 0 customer service. All they wanted was to make their dollar. I will never ever use this post office again. I highly recommend nobody use this post office due to the rudeness and their money grubbing nature.
