Looking for my package that did not arrive but was stated it was put into my tiny, locked mailbox? I went into the post office and told them the situation and the lady was very disrespectful. She spoke to me with a rude tone in her voice and said that she has to speak to the delivery guy that said he put it in my mailbox. This was a package threw amazon s 'nursing bag' that will not fit in a small, tiny lock box? She continued to be rude and not give me any good helpful information, so I walked out with my daughter. Is there any way we can get people that actually know how to work their jobs? with respect towards customers?

Package said delivered at 942am, went and checked my mail and had someone else's package in mine. My concern is if the other people relieved slip in their box to pick up? I'm almost positive it wouldn't fit into my small mail box. The delivery guy is already off work. It's 2pm on a Friday, why can't you call him? He screwed up and is the only person that knows or should know where my package is. Go the extra mile, and make a phone call and ask where my package is? It's called accepting responsibility and fixing a wrong.

This morning I called to ask why I hadn't received mail for 2 day. The woman who answered the phone was very terse and and acted like answering the phone was an imposition. She spoke to the carrier who claimed he couldn't reach my box due to snow, my box is 6 ft from the road. My neighbor cleared the area the day before with his backhoe and there was reason he couldn't reach it. The carried also skipped the next day saying my garbage can was in the way. The can was 20ft away. My mail was accessible if the driver had entered my driveway at another angle. My mail delivery is frequently skipped on a good day. Overall Kalama post office is not the best. I've lived in the area for 2 years. My neighbors have told me the postmaster is less than desirable. My call this morning proves their post. Worse yet, despite all the complaints, her performance has not improved!

Past two times we had mail held (with a confirmation number) Kalama PO still delivered the mail, did NOT hold it. Talked to Postmaster both times and she was SO RUDE. Just kept saying "go online". Yes we had, that's how we set it up and got confirmation number in the first place. This is two of MANY problems we've had over the years including mailman admitting he took our mail to his home for a week pre-hold. ILLEGAL!

Kalama post office is the worst of any. The postmistress refuses to deliver mail to the front of my property which is 211. she says it is an rv and she won't deliver to an rv. funny thing though she will deliver to camp kalama which are all rv's. She needs to go live under a bridge and never be allowed to work with the public ever again. She is committing a felony by interfering with legitimate mail delivery. I want her arrested.

Horrible service! The Postmaster is a nightmare, VERY rude and not helpful at all. We are moving to Kalama and have tried to get information on how to get our mailbox set up. Every time we talk to the Postmaster she is extremely rude, I think she should find something else to do... maybe sort the mail and not deal with the public. Yikes!!!

The Kalama post office has been a nightmare. They refused to deliver packages from amazon unless I had a "community post office box." Why? The items wouldn't fit in that box and my address was the same. So drive it up to my house. ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU PEOPLE ARE PAID FOR? So, I paid the $150 and got one. They HAVE delivered packages until Saturday, when the delivery person claimed my address didn't exist... again... even though packages HAD been GETTING delivered. How is it my address existed one day, but not the next? Well, in THIS case, the package in question was diabetes medication WHICH I AM OUT OF from the VA. The excuse? "Well, it was a sub and you haven't been getting mail out there (which is a lie: I have been) and the address got covered up when the label was reprinted and she missed it. It's not the regular one, it's a substitute. Would you like to come down and pick it up or have the carrier bring it?" No big deal, right? Just another in the never-ending series of Kalama Post Office screw ups. I NEEDED this medication SATURDAY. So, NOW, I have to make ANOTHER trip into town to this post office to get them to DELIVER my damned mail... perhaps the 10th such trip I've had to make in the past 30 days.... or wait until, MAYBE tomorrow. hey are a disaster. And in this case, I sincerely hope that postal employees DO read it, because at the ripe old age of 64 and having commanded a postal detachment in Germany, I can categorically state this is THE worst service I have not only personally experienced, it's the worst I've ever even heard of. USPS: hit or miss. Is it any wonder these idiots are going bankrupt?

HORRIBLE customer service. I received a pink note in my mailbox saying that they were unable to deliver a package, but ti was marked at 10 AM which I was home and no one knocked on the door, so I assumed it was because of our dog outside, hes a big dog, some people are scared of him. So I called, spoke to a woman, I explained that I think I got this note because of the dog, she cut me off and said 'WELL, ahem, we dont deliver to places with dogs" And I said,... ahh ok, I have had dogs my whole life, no one has ever not delivered mail because of a dog, and the neighbor who has a dog gets there mail. She said" Well, I dont know then, whats your address" I gave her the address, she then said" well then maybe you are too far from your mailbox, I dont know what tot tell you" I said, um excuse me? She says" we wont deliver if you are more than a qtr mile away from the mailbox" I said, that make no sense for one, and 2, we are .29 miles from our box, you can literally drive around the corner from the mailbox and see our house. She said" ugh, I dont know what to tell you, do you want to talk to the postmaster then and she will just tell you she wont deliver there?!" I said, whoa, yano what this is f*%king stupid and I hung up. Yes, I said the eff word but not at anyone, I was horrified by her attitude. So I then wrote a very nice letter to the delivery person explaining I had a large dog but that he was friendly.and they are more than welcome to come to the house, and he is a love bug and I introduced ourselves, etc. I went to get my mail today and she has wrote a nasty note on that letter I left in there for her, telling me that since I had said the F word to the clerk on the phone, that she was sure the postmaster would not deliver my mail for sure anymore. HOW RUDE, I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH SUCH A RUDE POST OFFICE BEFORE. Horrible attitudes, and apparently extremely lazy drivers that aren't willing to drive 2 blocks up the road to deliver mail. No wonder they have such other horrible reviews on here.

I am a teacher in Lima Ohio. My special needs students send sympathy cards to law enforcement and fire departments who have lost members. How sad that when we sent a sympathy card to your police department, it was returned to us with the tag reading "No mail receptacle". No one could simply put it into their post office box or hand deliver it to the police department? Today, I called your police department and was given their post office box number. So, I am resending the card in a new envelope in hopes that it is delivered to your officers.

This post office is poorly managed. The 1 employee is over worked and the post master is very unfriendly which is rare for a small town. Everyone knows she is worthless.
