Service at Grandview WA PO is horrible. Leave things at wrong address, don't deliver. Terrible.

I love our mail carrier. We have had her since I was a kid. However, I am VERY upset with the ladies at the front desk. I called to notify them that a very special package ($400 worth of stuff- Christmas gifts) was on its way and I made sure she noted NOT to deliver the packages (our dog has been chewing our packages up) She said it was noted. And to come in and fill out a form for future deliveries. I went to the post office the following day to find out that the note was not delivered to the carrier, although it was taken. They took ZERO responsibility for their actions. I kept asking her what would happen if I get home and the valuable stuff was chewed up after giving very specific directions the day before. Her response was “it depends if you got insurance through the people you ordered through”. How can the people we ordered through be responsible for miscommunication AND damage on THEIR part? She then proceeded to call the carrier lady (I wish I knew their names) and told her it wasn’t supposed to be delivered. Again- how on earth would the carrier lady know not to deliver the package if they never got her the message? I got home today to half my items damaged, about $130 worth of items. That is a huge set back. EXTREMELY upset at how the situation was handled, how NO responsibility was taken on their end after the message from me was delivered (I MADE sure to call during my own work time to ensure they got the message). And down not only $130 but $260 if I can afford to reorder our gifts.
