This warehouse location and it’s management has destroyed mail services for MILES around! I’m all the way in Partlow and mail is taking days to weeks longer to ship through this location! What in the world is going on? Cuts and layoffs before Christmas?! AND WITH A AMAZON CONTRACT TO BOOT?! Who needs to be fired? I feel so terrible for the few workers you did keep. They’re completely over worked, with zero help, spending all of their time at work and not with their families. Terrible all the way around! Wish I could give zero stars! Do better! Our carriers deserve so much better from the federal government. Fire your PO general now!!!

Trying to see about a package that was delivered to the Sandston Post Office on 15 Feb. Every time I attempt to call the post office either no one answers and the phone just rings or it picks up and then hangs up. Reading other reviews I can see that this happens regularly. Not sure how this is acceptable. Thankfully this isn’t medication or some other necessity but all packages should still be processed in a timely manner. Still waiting…

nightmare to receive a package that is in a container and been there for two weeks.. this is another one again... Sent an item to an ebay buyer from my California address.. Arrived by priority mail on Feb, 4. As of today the 11th it still has not been delivered to my 'Richmond customer. Went to their processing page and it shows it was processed over 15 times on Feb 6 and now it is missing in action. From reading other reviews of this post office it is clear that they are failing in their duties. Come on guys get my package to my customer.

My Husbands package has been sitting at this facility since Jan 6th & now a second package for the past 2 weeks which was plumbing to finish our bathroom. Contractor has now left job & no functioning shower after a 3 month remodel. This is very frustrating!

Sent items from California on the 6th January for a class I was to teach on the 15th. Priority Mail. Arrived Sandstone on 11th. So much for 2-3 days. Then it has sat in Sandston through end of today the end of the 15th. Local PO said I could get money back if I had paid three times or more for the higher service!

I paid $8 to have my seizure medication mailed on December 5 from Williamsburg to my house in Ssndston only 38 miles away it’s been in transit ever since the 6th are y’all backed up on receiving in the packages that arrive I’ve always gotten my medications that I pay the $8 for come the next day Now is six days for a package not showing up anywhere but in transit when y’all do finally check it in can I come get it instead of waiting for it to delivered?

No one answers the phone and I’m tired of talking to an automated voice message that simply does not help. Why would you open a business and not hire the proper staff to ensure that everyone runs efficiently?

Im still waiting on my son's Christmas gift! Can somebody please explain why it arrived in Sandston, then got shipped to Roanoke. It sat at Roanoke facility for 15 days, then it got shipped back to Sandston as of yesterday. His birthday is in October so now I guess it will be a birthday gift, if it gets here by then. COVID19 has been here since 3/23/20 so please don't use that as an excuse. We the people have made all kinds of adjustments and have done fine. Why can't the post office get it straight. The post office had no problem delivering the mail in ballots during the scamdemic. My husband waited on a car part for a month, that was at Sandston. It finally came yesterday. We needed this part for our excursion. The only vehicle we have big enough to hold our grandkids. We were not able to do our traditional drive around and see Christmas lights because of this. Bad enough for them not to be able to go to school, now you took away their joy of seeing Christmas lights. If you don't want to come to work then stay home

Hopefully this entire section will get closed and never reopen. I don’t want to hear about COVID and/or Christmas high traffic. You have had 9 months to adjust to COVID. This may be a news flag to Sandston but Christmas comes the same day every year! Does your management realize this and ramp up for a heavier work load. Every other business in the US does.

If your package is here it has entered the Twilight Zone. Mine has been there for 3 weeks. Called my local PO and was told they have a 3 week delay due to Covid. If they own up to 3 weeks just think what it will really take to get your mail if you get it at all. What is the excuse for pre Covid? Terrible PO distribution center. Noticed in the review comment that postal employees do not read the comments maybe they should!!!

This is the Hotel California of Postal Offices. Your package can check in anytime it likes but it can never leave! This is the black hole for packages -- it's this way throughout the year and long before COVID. Currently have a package that has been sitting there undelivered for five days. Of course maybe it is next to the package that was NEVER found there in May 2018!

This has to be the worst government office ever. Have a package setting in your warehouse since Dec. 2, no one seems to care about their job up there or service, as no one answers the phone. Sorriest excuse for a business / PO I have ever run into. Shame shame you all should be fired. When you ruin your parcel service, you will be out of business because all the junk mail / sale papers not gonna pay your big government salaries.

Whenever my packages are routed through this USPS facility, pre or post COVID, it ALWAYS takes FOREVER for them to process my package and send it to me. No other USPS facility in the country is like that. What the hell are you guys doing there!? Cut the crap, shut down that facility and send everyone their packages!! I am seeing tons of people that have had the same experience that I've had. How come nothing is being done about this. Is this a package inspection facility? Whatever the case, send us our packages!!!

I have had a package sitting at this facility for 2 weeks now. It was received on the 25th to be delivered by the 2nd. It is still saying Acceptance Pending; I am aware that Covid-19 will cause delays but ummm... 2 weeks to accept and ship the package is a bit crazy.. If given the choice I would have shipped priority but from the other comments it doesn't seem to make a difference. Unfortunately, for the vendor this makes me not want to purchase from them as I've not had any orders shipped through this facility before now.

I had a package sent to me from a company. Through the tracking number I see it has been waiting to be accepted at Your facility at Sandston VA since 8/12/20. I requested USPS locate and send my package but what they emailed Back was just that it was at your facility and they couldn’t do anything about it. I mailed a package from Maryland to Virginia on August 3rd. It still has not arrived. I filled out a missing package form, was assigned a service number, and received a call from the USPS stating that my package was sitting in the facility in Sandston. She indicated it has been there since August 5, and she has no idea why it has not be delivered. She gave me the number of the Sandston facility and recommended I call them. As it is Saturday, I will have to wait to call until Monday. This facility has been audited and the audits indicate there are some major problems at this facility!!!!

I realize that COVID19 is causing issues in every every walk of life and I hope the people that work here are safe and healthy. But when packages are unprocessed for weeks one can't help but wonder just what is the problem with the Sandston location. I hope someone somewhere can get this location operating effectively otherwise the whole US Mail process is in trouble. I say whole cause it seems like every piece of mail circulates through this location. I have had my mail lost many times in the past years. Sad. Please take pride in yourself and your job.

Worst post office I’ve ever had to deal with. EVERY time I have a package that is routed through this location, the package SITS for DAYS. Even though I am less than half an hour away, my packages have been routed from here to Nashville, to Maryland, then to Richmond before they get to me. I will gladly pay for FedEx to avoid any future packages go through Sandston office.

I'm waiting for a package that was accepted at this post office on May 20. The tracking information says that the package acceptance is still pending on May 28. How many days does it take to move mail through this location? I tried calling the post office but either got a busy signal or was forwarded to the fax number instead. Very frustrating, but from the other reviews, I can see that I'm not alone in my experience.

My wallet was stolen from the Wawa on the Boulevard yesterday, fortunately I had a tracking device in it. Even though it was out of range for me to locate it. Others with the same tracking system were able to pick it up due to them being in range of it. And thankfully, it has been tracked to this post office, I'm wondering if a good samaritan is having it mailed to me? I'm contemplating whether to have my friend with the police department go there and find out what happened or should I just wait to see if possibly they used my ID to have it mailed back to me? I've found wallets and always returned them, I'm hoping my honesty pays off in this situation. Thoughts?

This is not an actual mail delivery facility. It is a front for the government, most likely, CIA, to examine packages mailed into the country from foreign countries. It is an infringement on the public rights of the freedom and privacy act.

This postal service is unacceptably delinquent with ALL my mail. Late fees have caused a financial burden the last 3 months. It is taking 11 to 14 days to reach a destination that should only take two days. The solution advised from a Falmouth mgr is to send ALL mail priority. This is insane advice. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL & WORST MAIL SERVICE!!!

It's a miracle we get any mail at all. The mailman/woman are putting neighbors mail in our box and putting our mail in the people's mailbox across the street. they came last week at 11:45 pm and another time at 1 am in the morning. I have a small online business and you have to watch them scan the packages at the post office in Sandston where before you could drop off packages that have been paid for already or no telling what might happen to the packages. The Sandston Post office I thought was getting better. I go in there every day and there is a line of people with one person working behind the counter. I won't mention names but if you do regular business with the Sandston post office you know what im talking about. It has turned into one big C.F

My PRIORITY package has been sitting at this sort facility for 3 days. It was to be delivered two days ago. When I called USPS to find out what is going on with this package, the only thing they could tell me is that "It's on the way!!!" Really??? I am so frustrated !!!

Sent a package from Virginia to New Jersey on Saturday August 15 priority . Was to arrive on Monday the 17 th. it didn't leave the Sandston office until Monday the 17 th and it is now the 21 and still package have not been delivered. I will be using ups or fedex from now on

Sent a overnight package from Richmond to Texas last Tue, as of today a week later Wed. Still not have arrived pot customer service cannot reach anyone by phone when I did Mon. Nite say someone would call me in 24hr.....48hrs later still no call and again cannot reach anyone by phone local# or 800 # and they wonder why USPO are slowly becoming extinct!
