If I could give zero stars, I would. The two women (Eleanor and another lady) who work at this post office are consistently rude and unprofessional. They’ve made a habit of returning mail and packages if the P.O. Box number isn’t written, even when they clearly know which box it belongs to. It’s petty, inconsiderate behavior that causes unnecessary delays and frustration.
This isn’t a one-time issue; their behavior has been consistent for years. A quick look at their 1.5-star average on Yelp, dating back over 8 years, shows I’m not the only one who’s had bad experiences here. It’s shocking that leadership hasn’t stepped in to address this. Replacing them with friendly, competent staff would make a world of difference.
Occoquan has a very small post office. The small staff provides most excellent postal service and support. People from out of town and from miles around come to our Post Office for the great service. One unique feature of the town is that mail is not delivered to our homes. When you move into town, you realize that no one has a mailbox. We all have PO Boxes and must go to the post office to receive our mail.
I find that when I go to the post office, almost daily, I find the postal employees to be Cheery and they definitely know my name
Terrible costumer service there’s no costumer service at all in this usps office
Very rude employees spatially that old women, when ever I come here they show me the same attitude.
These hours of operation say 9-5 pm but they decided to take an hour break between 2-3 pm.. my shift starts at 3 so I have to go to another town for my mail. When I called they were very rude about and just said: go to another post office.. NO take a break at a normal hour!!
This post office is tiny. It does not deliver mail to many homes in Occoquan. You have to use the post box. The most recent development is that the 2 clerks have opted to shut down the office from 2 to 3 pm for lunch. Posted signs on the door. Who manages these folks?
Mail delivery is slow. You can go days with no mail and then turn up to a box that is jammed packed. Asking questions about this with the clerks illicits a defensive response. I am not sure if the problem is upstream in the delivery route or at the post office itself. But mail is lost and slow. They are overwhelmed and lack adequate space to operate. This what happens when we drain the service of $$$ and personnel.
