Just came back from the Fox Chase Station post office (1:30 on a Friday) and it was closed. Not even the courtesy of a sign.

I am writing to ask why I am not receiving my bills on time. Yesterday, January 18, I received a threatening notice from Comcast and IBC. I received NO bills from these companies in December or January. I can't pay them if I don't get them. I don't like being threatened and I don't like my health insurance being jeopardized. One day before Christmas, we did not receive our mail until 8PM. and I received no mail on Friday, 9/23 or Saturday 9/24. and I only received mail twice during the following week. As I am handicapped, I put my bills hanging out of my mailbox for the carrier to take. I had one carrier who shoved them back in the box! Please check out this situation for me. I pay my bills on time but if the companies don't receive them, it looks like I am irresponsible. Thank you for any attention you can give.

I have received my financial statements on at least three other occasions where it had been partially opened. This recent time the entire large envelope had been cut open from the side. Whereas before someone could peak in to see my balance, this time they had complete access to copy or photograph the statement pages in their entirety. It also looked like the envelope had been wet and dried. The day before I found my statement at my apartment door it had rained all day. I suspect whoever opened it had it overnight with plenty of time to copy or photograph the contents of the entire statement. The problem originates because the Postal Carrier(s) is/are not putting the envelope into my locked apartment mailbox, where I have access with my key. Although it fit and has on most occasions been their waiting for me. The only other piece of mail I found in the box was a mass mailing postcard. Therefore, there was plenty of room for this large envelope, the day before and as on most days it was empty. In addition, this morning I found a credit union banking statement set aside in plain view for anyone to take. This usually happens because mail was put into the wrong person's mailbox. I suspect someone in the building of 15 apartments is doing this whenever they find the opportunity. Either being nosey or maybe more nefarious intent like identity theft. The only evidence I have would be the envelope and the probable finger prints left on the outside envelope and the multiple page contents.

I filled out a Temporary change of address form, hand delivered it to the Fox Chase post office on 1/6/20, to have my mail forwarded to our address in Florida beginning 1/9/20 through 2/28/20. As of today, 1/22/20, I have received no mail at all. I know I still got some mail at my Philadelphia address as my neighbor called to let me know there was mail in my box. I have been calling fox chase post office daily and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. How can I resolve this, I need to get my mail. Patricia Wardlow

P.O. Apart from the electronic wall erected to dispense with phone calls, we've had multiple delivery problems, two in 2 days, I will clarify hoping that delivery will not continue to be a calamity. Today, as we sat at the kitchen table, eating lunch about 11:30 AM, Mrs. Stein mentioned a package she expected from Belgium, for which she checked the mail delivery since Mon, 7/15./19. She went down to street level of our house and discovered a P.O. message left for us, stating that a package could not be delivered because no one was home, at the very time we sat together at our kitchen table!! The note instructed us that we must claim the package at the P.O. We decided to drive to F,C,P,O,, because yesterday also brought us delivery difficulty for regular mail envelopes. On the way to the P.O., there was the U.S. Mail truck parked at a curb, within short distance from our house, When we identified ourselves, the young man said "Sorry, mistakes do happen." OK we got the package which otherwise needed to be claimed at 19111 P.O. Yesterday, we received mail in error, whereas it had been a newly issued Dr. License for a neighbor, which I delivered. It was in our driveway, dropped there with another piece of mail for the same house address 3 doors down the street. Once, we had a mail carrier who knew names of families on our block, and whom also could read addresses. Now, names nor addresses do not mean a damned thing! This is now a condition that occurs too often! Today's mail carrier is a younger man, wears no glasses, he ought to be able to read correctly. No mail carrier ever dropped mail in the driveway, especially as it rains so often lately. We have had a mail slot in the usual door for receiving mail since March 1998. A letter I brought to the neighbor was her Driver License, which she had expected for days, advised by Motor Vehicle, Harrisburg that it was mailed last Friday. It was left where it could have been soaked to a degree rendering it not usable. An open driveway? It could have been delivered to the correct address, where it could have been left between storm door & main door...not the wet driveway. Now, we still await my wife's Driver License, which we hope is delivered to the correct address instead of "somewhere on the street." As I stated, 'been here since Mar,'98 and no delivery difficulties until of recent. "Mistakes do happen" is a lousy explanation. Of course we all know that, but the frequency is indicative of sleep walking while delivering U.S.Mail. I realize also, it's not a great paying job, but anyone undertaking it should be aware that the U.S. Mail is still as important as it always has been, without dependency of a cavalier response that "mistakes do happen." We caught the delivery carrier outside his truck, in conversation with a man from the neighborhood, which was fortunate for us. But,delivery could not have been attempted prior to the time we caught-up with the truck. No one came to our door as we were eating in our kitchen, no matter what his written note stated of his delivery attempt.. .

Outside of the phone no longer being answered; I am very pleased with our carriers and going in to the station to mail packages, etc is always a pleasure. Staff is always friendly, professional, and they are beyond helpful in always do everything possible to help me with questions and concerns. I have lived in two states at numerous locations and in complete honesty the USPS Fox Chase Station is the best post office I have ever done business with and have had dependable mail delivery. :-)

Sent pkg for return. The label states free postage for return. UPS website stated postman will pick up pkg. whereas UPS charges 20.00 for pickup. Postman was reluctant to take but decided to take. Will local post office take care of this? Thank you
