These are legal papers of very important issue. The USPS seems to be having some major issues with their service.

My Package has been sitting in Harrisburg PA since 01/04/2024. Only thing I get is acceptance pending. Help would be appreciated. I contacted the vendor, UPS and USPS. NO one seems to care to help.

I have an order from DHS containing CPAC Supplies. This package is at the Harrisburg Post Office and is waiting to be forwarded to me! It has been there for 19 days without being forwarded to me!! I tried online to get action and I have called to no avail.

I sold a coin on eBay and mailed it in an envelope with $4.75 worth of stamps and a tracking sticker. I've done this for the past 20+ years without problems - until now with the HARRISBURG, PA 17107 post office. This item was mailed from FL going to Hummelstown PA 17036 but never made it past Harrisburg. Someone at the post office put a sticker on my envelope stating that I must send the item PRIORITY MAIL at a higher rate ($3.11 higher) before I could get TRACKING for the item! I researched this in the DMM and found it to be FALSE. Of course, now I have the item back in my hands. It's over 3 weeks late in getting to the buyer. And no one answers the phone at Harrisburg - AND THEIR "MAILBOX" IS FULL so I can't leave a message.

My mommy is a Holocaust Survivor and she has her mail delivered and picked up---it's NEVER getting picked up and my Mommy is very upset. Please tell the mail carrier that does 358 Ringneck dr. to please pick up the mail if its in the mail box.

My package was sent from WA to Harrisburg but instead of being sent NORTH to Williamsport PA it was sent to WV. WV sent it back to Harrisburg. Harrisburg sent it back to WV. WV sent it back to Harrisburg. I should've received my stuff last week but it's probably on its way to NM at this point ?!?!??

I have a package coming for valentine’s day, and as of January 25th it’s been in Harrisburg. it is now February 8th, less then a week away from valentine’s day and it is STILL in Harrisburg. TWO WEEKS it’s just been sitting there. and of course there is nobody to call or email to get it figured out. I feel so badly! I wish I had not sent this box through this PO! I mailed baby gifts for a newborn and it arrived in Harrisburg on January 23rd and from there-nothing. It's like it never existed. In December I sent a box of gifts to overseas. I handed the customs form to the teller, she did her thing, I paid $70 and left. 5 weeks later my box was returned as I had not entered enough description in the customs form. When I went to refund and resend I was given the run around for 2 weeks trying to find a manager on duty. Today I found out that there will be no refund. Not only did the teller not check, but the box never left this county and I'm stuck with a $70 bill for a clerical error? You must be kidding me. Why would I use this service again? A box of trinkets worth probably $40 at the most. I understand the description, I understand the time delays, I just don't understand why it would cost me the full cost of shipping overseas.

If you are ordering somthing online, call the seller and request them NOT TO USE USPS. It was crap BEFORE covid, and now its even worse. They changed hiring policies and now do NOT require a civil service test, AND its also a UNION which means you have extremely unqualified employees that you cannot fire. This package was sent from NC in December (tracking number 9449008205497699724565) Upon arrival it was listed as visibly damaged that was 2 days ago. How long does it take for them to tape up a package and put it on a truck to be delivered? The delay could negate a refund if the items inside are damaged and I’m forced to return them.

I mailed First-Class Mail Package 9500112990280350831215 on 12/15/20 from Carlisle, Pa. Tracking has only ever and still does read that it departed Carlisle on 12/15/20. I have submitted a case and missing mail form with no results. Please send this piece of mail to the recipient. I try to call you location and the mailbox is full. I spoke to customer service last week and they can only tell me what I can see myself so I really don’t know why they are even there, let alone be called customer service. The only thing the Carlisle post office offers is that Harrisburg is behind because of COVID and they have trucks sitting there to be processed. They really must have a lot of trucks and space to have them all sitting there from at least 12/15. Can someone at least determine if the truck this piece of mail was on has been processed or not? I mailed a package on Dec 18, 2020. It arrived in Harrisburg PA Distribution on Dec. 22, 2020 & no scans since then. I have tried missing mail searches, calling, etc. Nothing. It's January 18, 2021 now! Where the heck is this priority mail package? This is not acceptable. This is not the only package I have had sitting there. It's takes a month or longer for a package to move from this facility. At this rate it will never show up! Do BETTER! I refuse to use USPS anymore for PA packages!

PRIORITY MAIL sent on 29 December 2020. Arrived Hyattsville MD December 31, sat there until January 12 2021 12 freaking days. Departed finally supposedly on the 12th January and arriving to Harrisburg PA Distribution Center on the 12th Jan. Now I guess it will sit there another freaking 12 days. The package was only insured for up to $100, as I did not think the Postal Service would lose the damn thing, will cost me $250 to replace the contents (computer motherboard). Try to call they don't answer mailbox full. Have to wait 14 days to even file a claim. This US Postal Mail system has gotten out of control, time to privatize it NOW.

I have been waiting for an important package since the beginning of December! It was been sitting at the Harrisburg distribution center now for 9 days!!!! I live a few hours away but at this point it would be easier to just come get it myself!! It’s been almost a month since my package shipped priority. So, there was no plan set in place by our governing officials to maintain an orderly mail system!? What a surprise! Whatever happened to planning ahead. USPS should have hired thousands of seasonal employees knowing since March of this year how impacted they were going to be. This just goes to show how incompetent and unqualified our leaders are. This country deserves higher standards and the bar needs to be raised so things like this never happen again. The USPS is negatively effecting everyone who relies on their service. When 2 days turns into 2 months you are messing with healthcare, finances, and a plethora of other time sensitive matters. A birthday present sent to me by my parents is in limbo. It was transferred from UPS to the USPS on 12/07. I have not received it yet. Harrisburg is 45 minutes away from me (in bad traffic). My present was a book series - are they reading each book before they plan to actually give them to me, or...? Thinking it's time for a face-to-face conversation. You guys pick up packages from my local Martinsburg WV package drop box. I put packages in that box over 2 weeka ago and they STILL haven't scanned in. The Harrisburg post office is notorious for stealing packages. If your package is from any state out west, prepare to have it ripped apart in an attempt to steal what’s inside. People have had packages delivered empty or just disappear all together. Some supervision or accountability at this branch would be amazing. My family is out west and I have to think twice about anything they send me because unfortunately it has to go through Harrisburg’s thievery office.

I mailed a certified first class letter from my post office in New Oxford on NOV 24th to the Social Security Office in Chambersburg and it expected to be there by NOV 28th. Well 2 weeks later and my tracker says it's still in transit. Wasn't until I went to my local Post Office they told me all their mail goes to the Distribution Center in Harrisburg to be mailed out. 2 weeks later and I could have walked the 30 miles to Chambersburg and delivered it myself. I have always tried to support the post office. Since I moved to this area, I have had nothing but trouble with my mail service. I mailed a package to my son in the army that was suppose to arrive in 6 days that took 28 days for him to receive. My bills that I send out have been taking weeks to get where they are going, resulting in late fees. I received unemployment papers that had been opened (I assume they may have been looking for a check). And yesterday, my daughter called to ask if I sent money in a birthday card because the card I mailed had been opened and taped shut. I realize delays can be expected due to the Coronavirus and election we just had but I believe there is a much bigger problem here. I have tried calling and can't reach anyone. Not only is there a shortage of workers but there seems to be a big problem with the morals and ethics of the employees that are there. It is sad to see the good name of the USPS go down the drain. I will be taking my business elsewhere as much as possible and eliminating what mail service I can. I pray blessings to this office, clearly there is a lack of God in it.

On Monday, October 26, 2020 I mailed a certified letter from Elizabethville, Pa which was sent the same day at 4:36 p.m. from the Elizabethville location. This certified letter never left Harrisburg until November 5. While I realize you are busy, taking ten (10) days to send a certified letter from your location is a bit too much. This was a very important letter or I would not have paid the extra money to send it certified.

Mail from Harrisburg is a joke. We don't get mail for days then 6:00pm we get packages by one carrier, then at 8:00pm we get paper mail by another carrier. My package has been at the Harrisburg distribution hub for 8 days. In a private practice the supervisor would have been fired over the number of late or lost items at this location. Apparently tracking number is useless if it goes through Harrisburg.

It says the USPS is an essential business and will remain open. Then START DELIVERING OUR PACKAGES. The Harrisburg sorting facility is a total mess. The Pony Express would be faster at this rate. Very frustrating!

Lewistown PA post office needs to be shut down or the supervisor needs to be fired. Receive mail that is not mine even after telling them such and don't receive mail that IS mine. This is before COVID, which has become nothing but an excuse for even poorer customer service.

Have been following tracking on medications and it tells me the package has been sitting in the Harrisburg office for seven days. This is not the first time packages have sat in that office for over seven days or have totally disappeared at this office.

April-June, substitute carriers LOST 12 pieces of my mail. No one knows where they are, or have even tried to look as far as I know. Now I've been kicked off Informed Delivery, because that's what I used to track my mail. Can't get anyone to answer a phone or contact me back to help. Filed 5 cases in the last month, called 4 times and emails countless times. Not one contact back, when you file a case it states you should hear back in about 1 business day. Even had a carrier throw packages over my gate, because he claimed my "dogs were in the yard". "Dogs" are never in my front yard. Also been having problems for 8yrs, just getting substitute carriers to close my mailbox. Any other place, this would be considered harassment. Here apparently, it is ignored.

As soon as they see foreign face not white or black they start yelling as if they working free for us. Government offices in US are worst it should be re-build. Stupid people are gathered in the offices for public work, hence people return full of upset.

Comments are interesting. I am disappointed. If instructed to leave a name and phone number, then there should be a way to do so. When trying to email the USPS, their site won't permit the "necessary information" to be collected, so submission is impossible. Call center attendant courteous and understanding of the nature of my call; she probably really believed this post office would be helpful when she transferred my call.

You need an appointment to get a passport. This is no longer a walk in service site. I arrived at 1045 waited an hour to be told that they were no longer taking applications and were down to the last three for the next day. The website, phone system, and sign in the office state walk in but they will no longer accept walk ins. Call and make an appointment.
