Just bought a house in Sisters and went to this post office to pick up the keys to my mailbox. When I politely asked for my keys the African American post office employee took my drivers license and then proceeded to act like I didn't know what I was doing. She interrogated me about whether I had gone through the proper channels to get my keys and almost acted like she wasn't even going to go back into the back to check. I said that I had been called and told my keys were ready and she gave me a look like "we will see." When she came back she slid the envelope with my keys across the counter and didn't say anything. I said "thank you" and left. I live literally a block from this post office and don't want to have to deal with this woman. So far, being new to Sisters everyone has been so nice and welcoming. I'm not sure what is going on with this post office employee but I think I'll make my husband do post office runs. We were going to get a post office box here for my husband's business but upon this initial interaction I don't think that would be a good idea. We are looking for a low drama life and don't need to be accosted every time we get a package that won't fit in the slot.

How is it relevant that this employee was African American? I'm sorry you had a bad time at the post office, but bringing your prejudice into it makes me very unsympathetic

[number removed] 7256 1295 02-I sent a package to Huillet, PO Box 2247, Sisters, OR 97759. USPS added correction label to: Huillet 15689 Paddock Grn, Sisters, OR 97759-9609 BUT DID NOT delivered to this address. Instead was returned to sender in Scottsdale, AZ where the packaged sat in 100 degrees all day. In a tiny town like Sisters- you couldn't move it one box over?? Terrible service!!!!!
