I just spoke with Terry at the Lorain Ohio post office. I told her my out going mail was not picked up today. She said they don't have to. They can't look at each house as they are going down the street. That they have blue boxes on streets and drive ins at post office. I told her I am an 80 year old widow and can't get out there all the time. She said they'll pick it up when they have a delivery. I said I have to send me a daily post card to get service. I may have a check there that should be picked up. She says they don't have to! I asked to be taken off a hand off and put on a regular route. She said she can request but it won't happen. I am frustrated by service, I am assuming substitute but maybe it is the regular policy. Is there a way we city folk can put up a red flag like country fold do to get mail picked up to be sent out?
