On Monday ,February 21, I called the Westpark post office at about 12pm to ask a question about envelopes. A man answered the phone and said they were closed. I asked why and he said because it's President's Day. That's odd, as we had mail delivered that day. The following day, Tuesday, February 22, at about 12:30 pm, I went to mail an original art work in an envelope. When I got to the counter the clerk didn't bother asking me about it's contents, if I wanted it shipped by express, needed insurance, or anything like that. I was sending it to Canada. When I asked for a tracking number he said it didn't have one. It's now been over 2 weeks and it still hasn't arrived at it's destination. He said it would be there last Wednesday. I've been trying to find out it's status, but since he didn't give me a tracking number there seems to be nothing I can do except lodge a complaint. I'm pretty sure this is the same person who told me that they were closed on President's day, as I recognized his voice. I didn't catch his name but he was there February 22nd at around 12:30, a rather large African American male who was at the farthest left window as you enter the post office. I realize people are stressed due to the pandemic and all, but this was plain laziness as all I wanted was a tracking number for my package. I guess it was too much effort for him to just punch one out! Now I have a lost piece of original artwork floating around somewhere due to a negligent postal worker. I'm hopeful it might still appear, but at the very least this was a case of unprofessionalism!

It's getting a bit tiring to have to keep calling and moan about another issue with a carrier. We live in the Kamm's Corner area. For some reason we can't keep a carrier for any amount of time. Each person keeps a different schedule, and has a different 'technique'. Some just refuse to abide by the "ALL DELIVERIES IN REAR" sign and leave things in the mud below our mailbox...some are blind to the mail and boxes we leave outside for them to fetch up. We're ALL becoming part of the new age of online shopping and they need to get on board! It's a joke to have them advertise how they have all the new services that keep you from having to leave the comfort of home...We'll just settle for the basics, and a carrier that doesn't hate their job. *whew* End of rant! Thanks~~~ Leigh =^^=

Which ever mail carrier has the 16000 block of lorain is not doing her job. I run a business and have had mail waiting to be sent out for three days and if I don't have incoming mail, the carrier doesn't even bother to stop in to check. I wish you could change postal workers like you can with your cell phone carrier.
