I have received package in the past that were opened and idems were taken out of them. Everytime I call the post office no one answers the phone I have a disabled child and I have to walk all the way up to the post office because no one will answer the phone. Other than that I will say the woman to delivers my mail is Amazing! She is so kind, considerate, and does her job very well. But when it comes to the actual post office itself the way that they conduct that Post Office and Whitestone is horrible. They have absolutely no customer service skills. They definitely do not make you feel validated they make you feel like you’re more of a nuisances. It doesn’t take a lot to answer the phone and answer a few questions. And if you happen to get them on the phone after days of trying and calling from private number. They have a very bad attitude on the phone.
Our apartment building is right across the street from the post office. Across the over pass at 150th street and the service is terrible. It was bad pre covid, especially during the summer months with the excuse that there is a temp working. I have been living in this location since 2002.
Numerous times not only myself but a few of the tenants would have walk across the street and talk to the manager. Guaranteed next day takes days to arrive to its destination. Mail all over the lobby.
To add insult to injuryI can see the post office from my living room window and I did not receive mail, the day after Presidents’ Day, that’s Saturday before and twice during that week.
There is a language barrier with the management and that isn’t fair to anyone.
My Mail being delivered to other people on and off. Mail left on front porch and found by my oil delivery company and put in my mail box. This is going on and off for 2 months. Whitestone on 17 Avenue between 150 St and Murray Street.
I'm 67 years old lived in 4 different states due to my jobs.. This is the worst postal service with the exception of the male supervisor but he cannot keep up with the nasty staff he has..just today we waited in line and started to walk towards the door where the light went on..in passing there was a teller at another window who we didn't even address she says " I'm busy just back up and wait to be called" my husband said "the last light is lite" she said "then go there"... That is what we were doing, she has blonde long hair... Rude and out of line....my second bad experience about post offuce
