This is the worst post office on the entire island. The staff is extremely rude and unwilling to help. They are always closed before their scheduled and indicated time to be closed and are not accepting packages/letters/questions regardless if it is 45 minutes prior to closing time. The amount of rude encounters I have had with staff are unbelievable. This office’s location Either needs a change in staffing or more staffing so that customers can have simple questions and packages received an answered on time.

I mailed my plates at this office was told by the postal worker that i did not need a certified letter and 4month later they are still not received by the DMV which resulted in my license suspension. Every time I call no one answers. When I go in there the lines are out the door and at least half the staff is doing nothing. This office is the reason they should dismantle the PostOffice.

I receive my mail from the New Dorp Post Office and at times when my regular carrier is on vacation, I receive mail from the same address as mine from Rose Avenue which is around the corner from my house on Ross Avenue. I even received someone's medication from Rose Avenue. This substitute mail carrier did not know the difference..This is a serious mistake and needs to be fixed.

Have to say the post office on Hylan blvd. New Dorp station is the worst. They yell at you because you tell them you can not understand what they are saying. Then they continue to threaten you saying that it's a racial thing we are doing to them because if lack of communication. Supervisor morning one refuses to solve situation, n walks away from you. Then threatens and writes down your name staying to call cops. Mail carriers walk n deliver mail with head phones on n try n ask them a question it's like your invisible. Will use UPS, better service n don't mind paying more 💰.

Since Rick retired we've been getting mail very late. Almost 5:30 and no mail. Guess new girl can't handle this route. This is horrible. Something has to be done

We have been about a year without an permanent mail person in the Princeton, Cannon, Allison, Reno area and nobody seems to know why. I have lived over 30 years on the same street and always have an assigned person. I have had missing mail, wrong mail delivered to me and mine delivered to another address, pieces of mail found on the street. Since our prior permanent mailman was transferred to another route it has been a disaster - cannot imagine that someone does not want to have a permanent route!! Please help……

3 years later and they still don’t wow. I’m having an issue with them forwarding a package which I did not request and they won’t answer at all. Have called multiple times over the past few days. I could chalk it up to covid but it seems this has been an issue for a while now.

Today's mail was strewn all over my front lawn. It belonged to four different addresses on my block. This is not the first time this has happened since our regular postal worker has been out on sick leave. Today I took pictures before picking up the 11 pieces of mail. I wrote a note to each of the mail recipients to contact the New Dorp post office. I tried to call but no one answered at 4:20 pm when we got our mail. My mail was in the mailbox but the last time this happened another neighbor delivered MY mail. Please get this man off the route!

Mail delivery totally inconsistent. We sometimes do not receive deliveries on days. We are a busy medical practice and delivery is a necessity. No mail yesterday and we normally receive 20 pieces a day.
