This post office is so horrible I sat in my yard with my family waiting for a package. To never receive it and then the postman lies say he didn’t have access to delivery my package and left a slip for me to follow directions on how to have my package redelivered. Now if you could walk a slip into my yard you can walk the package!! It’s a Private house with full access!! To top that off the postman delivered my mail and a smaller package earlier this afternoon.The item was from Amazon and they will not refund me for 3 days and customer service for usps is a even bigger disgrace because they can only notate the account!! Their hiring anyone to work for the USPS and they don’t deserve to be in charge of our mail!!! Arverne Post Office is The worst in the Rockaways....They need to close this location because they don’t care about servicing our community it’s just a pay check for them!!
This is the worst post office e HANDS DOWN! The service is horrible! They lost my mail so many times and make promises they can’t keep.
SHUT IT DOWN! I’d rather walk to or use other neighboring offices.
I think that they should close the whole post office. Your people are useless and incompetent and do not anaswer their phone. I had a express pkg received there on 8:23 am on 12/15/18 and as of today its not delivered.its important documents. Express number. My mom went to the Post Office to see if she could get her passport. They told her she had to make an appointment so I went online and made the appointment for her to to very next day. She goes the very next day and they told her the person that does the passports is out for the day and to come back the following business day which was Monday (mind you, my mom is legally blind). She goes back today and they ask her if she has an appointment and she says she did but when she came, the person was absent and she was asked to come back today. Sad as it is, they told her she has to make an appointment. At this point, it is beyond ridiculous. She said she doesn't understand why they did not just tell her that she had to make another appointment instead of telling her just to come back today. They agreed to see her and told her and told her that the application she filled out must be in black ink not blue (mind you, my mom probably didn't even know the difference between black-and-blue ink because she is visually impaired). This is understandable but she could have easily filled out a new application and handed it in. Long story short, I told her to just go home and relax and fill out a new application and I am making an appointment for her to come in tomorrow. We shall see…
I am very disappointed with the telephone assistance! Here at AVERNE postal.on 59st. .It 5o ok me 102 to finally get a worker on the line. However when He did he had an attitude of a person not willing to be helpful at all. I wish that there had been a responsible supervisor, that would get some of the old blood completely out!!!of this business.
