The service I received today in the Hollis Post Office was exceptional. I brought in three large boxes that I had purchased shipping postage for on-line the day before. It turns out my boxes were a mere 1" too big for the USPS, but the clerks were kind and helpful in showing me just how I needed to modify my shipments. When I returned several hours later, the clerk was again extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. It was a very pleasant experience. (And everyone was masked)...

As I went into the Hollis PO yesterday with my mask on, I noticed that every other visitor had a mask on as well....both of the clerks, male and female, had no mask. I know my mask protects them and their mask should be a sign that they want to protect me as well. I don't understand this. When I called, they said that it is optional for clerks and customers to wear masks. With major stores mandating masks now, our PO is keeping it optional. I should also mention that most of the customers coming in were 60 plus. The clerks not wearing masks states that they not really care about the welfare of their local customers. I really feel very sadly about that.
