Postmaster is a nice enough guy, but I left my key in our mailbox which is a cluster in our neighborhood. I left my key in the mailbox for the first time in 5 years. As we often do at our neighborhood Face Book Page looking out for each other, somebody posted a picture of mine.
I check my mail once a week on Saturdays so didn't discover the post until 7 days later. Went down to see if it was still there and it was gone.
When I asked the carrier who puts the mail in our cluster boxes she said she kept loading and one day came and it was gone.
How pathetic! How would you not take it and return to the Post Office after looking at it day after day?? So they make me pay 45 dollars for a new one.
My now deceased Father In Law was a Post Master and explained to me a long time ago the Federal Law that applies to mail so you also left me open to theft.
Think that person will be reprimanded for this? Most likely not. The nearby Castle Hayne Post Office stay on their toes through my experience with them. Unfortunately I'm not in their district.
I'm not sure but whoever I spoke to on the phone this morning (12/20/2019) around 10:55, was super nice! Usually get nervous to call places and ask for help because employees can be so rude, but he was very nice and helpful. Thank you!
I typically hate the post office but the Rocky Point office makes me LOVE going to the post office! Sam and Lacey mailed out 400 calendars for my office and went through every single one checking to make sure we got the address right. The last 10 years we’ve mailed out calendars at other locations NO ONE HAS DONE THIS!!! Which saved us hundreds of dollars in the end because they didn’t charge us for shipping them to the wrong address. This took hours to do but their hard work made this process go smoother than ever before.
