This post office is full of incompetent morons, they have lost two packages and two letters I’ve mailed out costing me hundreds of dollars. You are incapable of doing the most basic job on the planet and don’t care about the problems you cause. F*ck the USPS and specifically this worthless location in Matthews NC, you all deserve to be fired and work at McDonald’s, but I’m sure you’d f*ck up every order bc of how stupid each of you are.

The current mail delivery person to Greystone Drive in Matthews, NC is terrible. He crams boxes into the mail boxes and then we cannot get them out. He puts/throws packages on the ground. He just does not care about the service he is giving us. I want the previous ladies back. They were great.

My family and I had the BEST experience with the kind woman in the passport office. She made everything run smooth and quick for us. We even shared some laughs and she get a great smile out of my six year old. We are so thankful for her!

Someone brought in a pet and shoved past me in line (she decided to go get her pet from the car for some reason?). I'm allergic to animals and the dogs brushed against me. I tried to back away but couldn't because a counter was in the way and I told her I was severely allergic. She snorted at me and let the dog on the counter. I spent 15 minutes trying to fight of an allergy attack and calm my throat from swelling up. Pets are NOT ALLOWED in the post office, but staff refused to say anything to her.

I just had a heavy package delivered half way down my drive way. Iam a senior who uses a cane. This is not right. My regular carrier wouldn't think of doing that. Barbara Snow

Hello: As a business owner in Matthews, NC I work with the public on daily basis and am appalled at the customer service I experienced at your Matthews- John Street post office location. The associate was intentionally rude and REFUSED to assist in sealing my small package I was attempting to return. Keep in mind, alll labels were correctly on said package and return was prepaid. Unfortunaltey the tape from the envelope was not "sticking well" and would not seal correctly so contents could come loose. When I asked for some assistance to add extra tape she said "we only have tape to purchase". I asked if she had any scotch tape and she said they had none. Well... that was not true as after searching on my own I found scotch tape at the very front of post office. She refused to assist in sealing up package in any way. Her attitude was atrocious!!!!!! I have a receipt with clerk number listed. I am disgusted and would like this experience to be addressed. addresseds

I know the postal worker you are referring to. yes, she can be rude and seems like a robot doing her daily chore at the post office. Most people who work at the Matthews post office are very helpful. I just advoid the person in question.

POSTAL worker keeps saying he/she tried to make a delivery that requires a signature. That’s a lie. No attempt has been made. I have proof. I’m tired of them saying they delivered something when in fact they didn’t. Is it because they’re running late or don’t want to get out of the truck in 96 degree heat?

Today's delivery person (12/29) drove THROUGH THE YARD AND MY DITCH leaving a huge rut and a muddy mess from the rain yesterday. They made NO effort to use the road. I'm livid!!! I have pictures too.

The delivery from the Ballentyne Annex at the Matthews Post Office sucks!!! It is Friday night, 10:30 and we still have not had mail service sine Tuesday. I Know we had 4" of snow BUT the lack of postal delivery is not acceptable. I called earlier and was told the deliveries were being made. Not in our Beverly Crest Neighborhood. There is NO EXCUSE for this POOR service. When I lived in Baltimore we never missed delivery due to snow. What is your problem????

Found a large priority package forced into the newspaper box. I thought I was going to need to cut the paperbox in order to remove the package. I believe this to be an alternate carrier because our regular carrier would not do anything like this. Package was delivered on 1/4/2017

Have tried to call for several days and cannot get through. Call goes directly to busy signal. Multiple problems with mail delivery - receiving mail for neighbors, have not received multiple bills and other important pieces of mail, have had my mail properly addressed to me returned to sender as undeliverable. Mail boxes are locked, so there is no public access. Called toll-free number, received an initial call from Matthews post office, was supposed to receive a follow up. Still waiting.

Idk what number and where these ppl are dialing out to but I have had to call the post office 3x in the last week and I always get someone to answer. One time the lady anaswered and took a message and Renee the passport girl called me back and hour later. I just got back a few hours ago and they were all pleasant. Renee was great

Can you tell the difference when you case mail between 2631 and 2731? My neighbor thankfully brought me my mail and it was important mail too . You know, I get paid to do my job accurately so why don't you? I am so tired of mistakes by your branch. Do you not have people that care about the quality of work that they do?

Website says "requires appointment for a passport, please call", yet the line is either constantly busy or rings off the hook. Extremely frustrating.

I shipped a package to Farmington, MO and it was not delivered to customer. It was placed in a lockbox and the lockbox key was apparently put in the incorrect postal box. Customer has tried to track it out there. Post office said it was not carried back to local PO. It appears that postal carried took package. This unclosed matter has been going on way to long. I CANNOT get help from my PO or customers.

According to tracking info - package is ready to pick up. Went there twice and they tell me it's not there and I need to file a claim with the shipper. The company I purchased from did give me a refund and will file a claim with the post office. It the package was delivered to the post office, then in my opinion someone from the post office took it.

Unsatisfactory, when a postal delivery worker can drive up into your driveway and beat your dog who is teathered to a lead ,with a stick that has tape at the end of it to rip the fur out when he has no business up in your driveway because the mailbox is at the street... and when you call to make a complaint looking out for the welfare of your dog you get "can I call you back" maybe I should release my dog from lead and see how that goes for ya next time... absolutely no excuse if you have a problem with someone's dog go to the person don't take matters in your own hands... you wouldn't want me to take matters into my hands it's a 2way street

Just a quick note to provide a good comment about the post office. Unfortunately only bad experiences are reported when in fact most people have a perfectly fine visit. My visit to the Matthews location was pleasant, quick and every worker was friendly and helped me with my package. Wonderful experience.

I so fed up with this service. My postman never picks up my mail, and he is always leaving me the neighbor's junk mail. I think he skips every other house to save time.

This post office has terrible customer service, phone is never answered. Hold mail not delivered. Mail put in wrong mailboxes, or dropped on ground. No one seems to care.

Terrible service can't call they don't answer phone, Package has sit there for 5 days of mine and have not even tried to deliver I think the tv news channel should be called just poor service and so many people looking for jobs they need a good house cleaning there for sure. Going down to day to pick up my package can't wait to see what they will tell me TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, The Monroe postoffice is so friendly and help , wish my mail went thru there , They need to raise postage when the service is terrible

I agree with many of the posts here. It seems that they are making an 'attempt' to improve..Question 1. Couldn't there be a link to email the Postmaster of Matthews for communication? Sorry, that would mean 'Customer Service' which is lacking.
Question 2. IF you have an 8 1/2 x 11 Photo or Calendar delivered, which is common to have Calendars arrive now, WHY do they fold them in half against the staples instead of lengthwise which would be more common and parallel to the way Calendars are hung? Large Mailbox, but it doesn't matter.

This is the worst post office ever!!!! The staff is unbelievably rude and the couriers don't pay attention to detail... which I thought is a requirement in order to be a courier in the first place. I have had several packages never received because they have been sent to the wrong address. I receive my medication via mail order and every time I have a package shipped it always ends up at my neighbors house around the corner who has the same numeric house number but not the same "street" name..duh!! I have complained numerous times and have gotten no where. There is no reason I should have to steal my own mail out of my neighbors mail box and the sad part is this post office does not even care! I bet they will once I file legal actions against them due to the fact that I can become extremely I'll because I can't get my hands on my medication when needed because it's being sent to everyone house but mines.

At least you got through. It rings about 30 times before going to a fax tone. Tried to call 5 times. Same thing. I was trying to call because they delivered a package of a special teriyaki sauce we ordered and the package came in a plastic bag filled with sauce. The outside of the bag said "we care, we are sorry your package got damaged. Please forgive us". WTF??? My wife has waited on this package for 3 weeks and this is what we get from our great Matthews post office.

I just called to get my mail started back up. It was held until I could replace my mailbox that was knocked down by a car. They have had me on hold for about 5 minutes so far. Another difficult day for something so simple, even over the phone! Now 10 min. on hold at 8:45 am! Hanging up and calling back. Lady answers, me again, Hi, this is..... I was calling back to check on my mail. Lady- OK hold on!!!

And yes, they will let the lines at the Matthews post office get all the way to the door and still let employees go to break or lunch. Even if you are just there to pick up your mail you still have to wait in line for up to 45 minutes if not longer. I know our area is growing but what about they hire enough employees to meet the demand!

I live in Matthews and some days I get all my neighbors mail and they get mine then we all have to re-deliver our mail to each other ourselves. It doesn't matter if you tell the post office. They don't care. My mailbox once got knocked down by a car during a snow day. The lady that delivers our mail saw this and refused to bring it to the house until I could get another box back up. "It's not her job". Well it's not my job to redeliver her mail each day either. She gets paid to deliver the mail. I don't.i

This is without a doubt the worst post office in all of the United States of America! I've been in a line (almost out the door) and seen the front end manager send 3 out of 4 counter representatives to lunch! Our mail delivery person is an absolute delight - the rest of the employees leave much to be desired. I don't want my errand at the post office to be the social event of the year, just say hello and do your job!

HORRIBLE service living down here in the south is like living in a third world country when it comes to the Mail service we live on a main rd and will go days sometimes without mail, other times we get the neighbors and they get ours when it does come I have called and complained numerous times nothing changes, one time a neighbors mail was thrown in the middle of our front yard. The mail across the street comes around noon every day and so does about a half mile down the street, when I asked about that they said it was package deliveries that have to be delivered by noon another LIE, I have had numerous deliveries from USPS and they have not been before NOON. Even with everyone around us getting thier mail at a normal time we get our mail normally after 6pm and this evening it came after 7pm and I had a package that was supposed to be delivered and I just checked online and it says notice left what a bunch of BS there is no notice on the door or even in the mailbox nor did they even come to the door of the house I have been here all day. I am so sick of the service from this post office..They are nice when you go into the post office and will talk to you all day long but who cares about that when they cant even get a job done that they are getting paid to do.
