Upset, yet again that my mail carrier just threw a package on my patio step where the rain comes in… It generally puddles there because the bricks have worn away that I have repeatedly to have the person deliver just about two or 3 feet to the right where my doorstep is and a bucket to put things in safely… They refuse and always leave it at the entry to my patio where the rain comes in. I don’t know what to do and I can’t speak to someone because their phone does not answer, it will answer, but it asked for you to press a certain code number that do not have access to never contact anyone at post office in horseshoe North Carolina
Evidently on Wednesday,February 27, my mail was left on top of the retaining wall with two packages. When I drove down to get this mail today(we have a long steep driveway) I found my mail blown all over the place! I hope I found it all! Why wasn’t the mail placed inside the mailbox where it would have been secure! We could have been out of town and the mail would have been all over the mountain for days!
My order was to be delivered Saturday- said out for delivery. I waited all day, mail was delivered to mailbox and it was not delivered. Checked tracking and it was labeled as attempted to deliver and unable to access location at 425--rest of mail was delivered before that time!! I was HOME all day. This has happened several times now. Is it that the deliver didn't want to drive up my driveway and leave at door, or ring bell, or even HONK the horn at street so I could come out. I pay for expedited shipping and someone is what too lazy to deliver on time? It was in the delivery truck! Now have to wait an additional 3 days. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. There was NO snow, rain, or even clouds. Perfectly clear day. This was a birthday present.
I tracked my package to see why I had not received it. It showed that the package was delivered on April 9. I did not receive it!! Tracking # is 61290983162040028602
I received a package Friday containing a breakable item. The box was clearly marked fragile;however, my husband found the box balanced and teetering on top of our mailbox. I returned home from out of town on Saturday and opened the box to find the item broken all to pieces. Once I caught the same mail carrier throwing- yes throwing- a box up the hill behind our mailbox. He was leaning out of his SUV throwing it when I pulled up behind him. The box contained a handmade pottery -one of a kind- burial urn for our recently deceased son's ashes (2013). The mail carrier apologized profusely. That box too was clearly marked fragile. It had travelled all the way from Colorado, but it, fortunately, did not break. I have, however, received other pottery items that were broken.
Post office phone has gone straight to a busy signal all morning of 11-14-14. I don't know how to contact them to tell them in case their phone is off the hook. Arden, NC was very rude when I told them. I understand there is absolutely nothing they can do about it, but the attitude is unnecessary. The last time I spoke to the Horse Shoe office when I could get through, they were nice.
