New Mailboxes at the township hall were just installed. They are facing the wrong way. Passenger side to deposit mail. What happened to the driver side? If I use the driver side I am heading the wrong way on a one way street.
I purchased a P.O Box because I wasn't getting all my mail at home. I'm thinking by doing this it gives me a better chance of receiving all my mail because there less steps for my mail to travel Boy was I wrong! So I called the USPS customer care center to report this issue they called the Post office and a couple of Manager's called me back lying. Then they thought they will teach me a lesson and not put any of my mail in my P.O Box. Well 👌 I can play that game too so I call the Customer care center again and they about to open a investigation I will call them everyday if I have to! They should do us all a favor and shut this post office down. Oh I forgot to mention I have informed delivery and it shows what coming to my mail box I still don't receive it. 🤔 That's not smart.
I get paid by check and it is mailed to my house . I checked payroll at my work the checks were mailed out the 19th of April I still haven't received one of them also I haven't gotten mail in the past week what's going on!
Have not received mail in 5 days stopped at Redford P.O. yesterday and asked for my mail I received 4 pieces of junk mail. Lady said the rest was on the truck to be delivered yesterday I am still waiting for my mail.
I had a package dropped at this location, it only took 3 days for it to move from the location. Only 2 days of it sitting there after it departed, it finally shipped. Exceptional service I tell ya! Lol
Ever since we have gotten this new mail person we have had nothing but problems with are mail delivery. She has more excuses on why we go "days" without delivery. I am a senior who received not only medicine and supplies through the mail but also my government checks. When questions are asked of her she responds that she does not have to deliver our mail that it's a privilege not a right for us to have are mail delivered by her. I have the daily delivery on what is expected to be delivered to my house and without fail every month I receive my check two to three days after I was supposed to receive it. I am not the only one on this end of the street that is not getting thier mail. What if anything can be done by my neighbor's and me, we are all fed up with it.
Called 3 times on Sunday 10/18/2020 was on hold twice for over 30 minutes, last time got hung up on, trying to find out about a envelope that was supposed to be delivered on Saturday by the tracking number it was out for delivery, and now it says it is in transit, need to know what is going on , tried calling back 3 times and no answer
So apparently no one in the Redford office is aware of how to answer a phone, which really isn’t surprising when clearly your route runners can’t even read; I have lived at my residence for over 2yrs and despite the note on my mailbox stating I am the only one that lives there I continue to get others mail. I have stopped taking others mail out of my box and only take my own, at this point my mailbox is nearly full to the brim with other peoples mail!!! It’s no wonder there’s so many complaints about ppl not receiving their mail because your rout runners don’t even care whose mail goes to whom; absolutely appalling!!! Y’all better email me back before I make an appearance to the physical location bc y’all will not enjoy my being there!
Every week I have to go and pick up my own mail. I don’t get my mail in three days I’m picking it up myself. Redford Post office really is horrible. It’s been three days now and no mail. I have court papers in the mail and I am hoping the date for court it’s before I get my mail! Like Damn really!!!!!!

I realize covid is going on but for me to get no regular mail in almost two weeks I’m not right
I am also waiting on my renewal tags for my car and I have no clue when they mail them to me as I can no longer trust informed delivery.

Terrible mail service. I've not received any mail at all for 2 days. I've also never received two small packages from Tennessee. Both were returned to sender. And it's been over 8 weeks. Redford postal service really has become crappy. They all seem so lame and stupid.
Hello, I have driving past 2 other post offices to drop off priority mail packages. For over 4 weeks they have been 5 star and scan the packages upon drop off. I took 6 packages there Monday and still have no scan to provide to recipients that I have in fact began the mailing process in a timely fashion. Very disappointed.
horrible. I called repeatedly as soon as they opened to try and have a package Held and not returned to sender. No answer after 20 mins..as a main hub they had 1 Person working the counter. 30 Minute wait time to even make it to the counter. Probably could've been Helped over the phone. Whats the point of the phone if NO ONE is going to answer. I watched people wait 15+ minutes for a supervisor to come out. They need better service overall.
I ordered a package priority shipping according to tracking it was shipped and supposed to be here Tuesday but us sitting in Detroit! What is going on. I paid extra to make sure that it arrived on time!!!! This is very important can I pick it in Detroit??
I got an email from the post office because I opened a case. I was advised due to COVID-19 packages and mail will be delayed from 10-14 days. If you paid an expedited fee you can request a refund.

I’ve lived in Redford for 43 years. Up until last year we’ve always had good reliable postal service. Fast forward, the service is terrible. 3 times in the last year, I’ve stopped my mail, only to find a “jammed” mail box when I returned (once with my license tabs in the mix). Now I’m getting my neighbor’s mail (wondering who’s getting mine). Let’s get this fixed. Pitiful Service. Hopefully, this note doesn’t result in retribution for our mail person or post office.

I’m so tired of having a lazy post office worker take at least 10 minutes to shove a order in my mailbox instead of taking 20 steps up to my porch and setting the bag on the porch I haven’t even opened the package yet im hoping nothing is ruined because they are SO LAZY this isn’t the first time they have done it they leave packages in the road right next to the mailbox something should be done if they want to work for the post office please do a better job or find a job like a garbage person that way my stuff won’t be ruined

i've lived in redford since 1998,and i never had an issue with my mail service until 3-25-2008. at that time they were a number of days i had no delivery. then one day i get a mailbox full of mail and 12 pieces of mail jammed between my screen door and front door,with date stamps from the month before. there were 3 bills with past due dates.
i fought with the redford p.o. for months. i finally had to contact the postmaster general,() to get it resolved.
things have been pretty good til this year and the problems started again. there was no delivery because of weather on 1-30/31,i get that,but i recieved no mail on 1-29 and 2-1. when i got mail between 6:30 and 8:00 pm on 2-19 and no mail on 2-21 i called the p.o. 3 times before someone answered the phone. i could tell from ms. perrys attitude,that i'm probably gonna have issues again,so from here on out i'll just deal with the main p.o. in detroit.
About a year ago, my usual Redford mail man retired. Though my mail came much later in the day after he left, I didn't think too much of it. I did get concerned when I started getting my neighbors' mail delivered to my house, but I walked it over to them. I figured it was a new person who took over for my old mail man and he/she needed to get more experience. Then, in December 2017 I mailed an important enrollment form for health insurance, along with a check, and figured everything was fine. Two months later I found that I had not been enrolled since the insurance company never received the mail with payment to process it. And the insurance company said sorry, I missed the dates. In February, I mailed a property tax payment to Redford, and about 6 weeks later I received notice that my account was overdue. Again no delivery. Though I'm posting this here to alert others, I am going to follow up with the U.S. Postal Service. Both of those mailings I had put out at my mailbox for the mail person to pick up. This isn't what I normally do. Since then, I have posted mail only at the post office and everything has been okay. It's obvious my replacement post person is incompetent. I still see the person struggling to finish his/her route some days at 6:00 p.m.
Besides constantly getting other peoples mail delivered to me (which I take care of myself by personally forwarding it to the correct address), I've made numerous documented reports to this Beech Daly office. Today was the capper...in dropping off some bills I noticed the postal employee (didn't catch her name) was emptying the 2 drive thru boxes at the entrance. I tried to get her attention to hand her my mail. I I thought that would save her some time and effort. I was ignored until she finally turned around and pointed to the other box saying "there's the box right there"...as if she couldn't be bothered to acknowledge that I was even there, 3 feet away from her. I purposely MAIL my bills instead of auto pay just to give business to the USPS....with rude high 'attitude' treatment like that, I'm really wondering why I do. Get your act together folks, you're jeopardizing all the folks that work at the USPS that actually care about their customers. Maybe you haven't noticed...that's what we are...CUSTOMERS. Start acting like it please.

We have the worst service when our regular mail carrier is on vacation or sick leave. They leave mail in the wrong boxes or never deliver packages because they're on their cellphones. These buildings are not complicated the address and the numbers are over each entrance. I've reported problems before today but the service is still bad.
Had to talk to a customer service person on the phone today. They were nasty and belligerent. She was not courteous and treated me like I was lying. If I talked to a customer at my place of business the way this person talked to my I would be fired. But since she is a civil servant she treats customers any old way she wants and gets away with it. She did not listen well either. Poor representative of the postal service.
Very disappointed. I waited in line for 30 minutes to send a letter to a dying relative in Canada. I wasn't sure about postage, etc for international shipping, so that is why I waited so long. The lady at the counter got me the right stamps and sent my letter on its way. Today I received my letter which was supposed to go to Canada. I went in to ask why it was returned, and they said the machine read my return address label as the send to address. No solutions were offered to solve my problem, other than to purchase a new envelope and new postage. I am VERY displeased with the service I received. This was USPS's mistake - 1) When they checked to make sure my letter was all set to go to Canada and 2) When there address reading machine messed up. I am beyond angry and I hope I can get this letter to my relative before she dies. Shame on you, USPS. No wonder you are becoming obsolete. I will transition to using other more reliable mail SERVICES. Why have "service" centers at all if you don't offer service??
We have had problems getting our mail delivered for the past 8 months or so. We get it about 2-3 days per week. Our carrier says she can't get between our car and our porch. We've been here for 17 years and all of a sudden its a burden. She just passes our house every day without even looking to see if we have outgoing mail. The office does not seem too concerned about our complaints. She threatened to key our car, and eventually did. Nothing was done when we complained. We were told WE were harassing HER. A package was delivered smashed, and the contents were damaged. This is because she only delivers twice a week, so she tries to shove it all in the box. She has also broken our box once. Today a magazine was delivered with the cover torn off, crumpled and wet. We have a covered porch. This is why UPS and email are so convenient.
Agreed. I got a letter in the mail hand written at that because my neighbors dog got out, so i call them to ensure it was not my pet even though they look the same and this lady has the worst attitude in the world. From the beginning to the end, then she wants to threaten me and tell me shes going to call the postal police? are you kidding me, i called to get something clarified then you are going to end a conversation with a threat and your a federal employee that we pay taxed to keep you employed. You got to be kidding me, Setting up a PO box at a different post office cause i dont want any of those people on my property
Just got off the phone with the rudest, most un-customer focused persons ever. Just needed clarification on hours. Postal workers wonder why their jobs are disappearing, customer service is a big part of it, I will definitely never use this office again and will ensure to share with everyone who will wonder why I am using the US Postal service anyway, Fed-ex and UPS are way better at the service part!
