I haven't received a mail delivery since the 22nd of December. Considering the weather on the 23rd and 24th I really wouldn't have expected to see a delivery. Also the 25 and 26 were holidays for the postal system and I did not expect to see a delivery, however when I called the Niles post office on the 27th the phone was answered by someone named Ed who told me, when asked, that indeed they were attempting to get the deliveries going again and we should see mail late that evening. Well that never happened so I called again on the 28th and was unfortunate to again have to talk to Ed who told me that they were short handed but should see a delivery by late this evening, which prompted me to say the post office sure isn't what it used to, to which Ed responded sarcastically, "well thanks and you have a wonderful day" as he hung the phone up in my ear. Some one there needs to tell Ed that he needs to understand who the customer is and he needs to show them some empathy. Needless to say there was no delivery of mail again today. The funny part is that I saw a postal van go down our street making a stop here and there but not at my address 2717 Horton ct. Even if I didn't have any mail, I should have had the Harold Paladium from the 23rd and 24th as well as the 27th and 28th so I am wondering if Ed is flexing his stupidity and told the person who was delivering out here to ignore my address. I would love for the Post Master to call [number removed] tomorrow on the 29th and let me know what, if anything is being done to resolve my problem. It is year end and I know there are important documents that have been mailed to me that are not being delivered and I need them. Thank you for your attention to my issue. James Harbaugh

I’ve had a package that was received at the Niles post office on the 12/19. The tracking shows the word EXCEPTION. What does that mean???? The Estimated delivery date keeps moving out for the last 3 days.

I was directed by the shipper, and UPS that the pkg was at the Niles PO on Friday. and would be deliver to the home by usps on Sat. When I checked with shipper they said PO couldn’t deliver. I just call the Niles MI PO to try to figure out where the pkg is. Michelle from that PO was extremely rude, unhelpful, treated me like a dummy, and actually told me I was rude. I’ve dealt with many customer service people and never been told I’m the rude one. Did not track pkg, so still don’t know where it is. No wonder the PO is losing customers.

My daughter sent both me and my husband during the quarantine a cheery card with a flattened via heated bubblewrapped covered face mask in each one since we are seniors and under restrictions. She went to the Dorr, MI - PO who put on two 55 cent stamps on each one for delivery. Our post person Niles-Buchanan Michigan came to our door to collect an additional postal due of $2.70 each card or $5.40 both on top of the $1.10 or $2.20 already paid = a grand total cost of $7.80 for both cards. Ironically, my sister who lives in Phoenix received her cards from MI with no problems and no extra postage. This is beyond sad and an absolute travesty.

I was under the impression that postal employees had to pass a test to become employed. Do they need to be able to read English? This is the second package this week to be left on my doorstep where the deliverer totally ignored instructions clearly labeled on the box. This one contained a pie which is probably in little pieces.

I am writing about the Niles, MI post office on Broadway Street. I have a legal employment matter at a Federal court. Since living in the area with a P.O. Box at the Niles, MI location, I have had alleged harassment of my US POSTAL MAIL. I have had my mail withheld. People telling me that they sent me documents and licenses for career advancement and it was sent back....for no reason. My ex employer has connections with law enforcement and other. I then was falsely accused of fraud (which I did not do) and they stated to me with the US Inspector General that they sent me mailing. I went to my PO box and I DID NOT RECEIVE MY MAIL. Other harassment is getting other people's mailing in my PO Box when SEVERAL TIMES I have told the US POST OFFICE OF NILES, MI to please refrain from putting anyone else's mail in the box. Another time I am at the front desk window and the US Post Mail box service person states, "So you are the mystery girl"? with verbal abuse. The last I knew is any withholding of mail, verbal abuse, harassment with my mail and alleged intentionally holding someone's mail is a violation of my US CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. I have been harassed in the community of Niles, MI whereby several people have stated to me it is alleged organized crime. NILES, MI post office, I was raised in this town. You are abusing my US Constitutional right to have my mail so I am informed on my FEDERAL COURT CASE, MY BUSINESS MAIL, MY LIVELIHOOD. I went to the post office several months ago and they have been consistent with the alleged abuse of withholding my mail. I became aware from several businesses, that they sent me mail and it was returned, withheld several months, not received, other mail received and then the federal govt. then makes false allegations on me whereby I received a false allegation from the US Inspector General and the federal govt. is not providing me crime victims compensation and allowing law enforcement in Niles, MI to vandalize my car and hide survelliance tapes. Step up. None of the US postal customer service people in the front could even look me in the eye anymore. Or, verbal abuse twice stating I was the "mystery girl". Or walking away from me, when asking a question. Or wanting to allegedly overcharge me. You have a legal right and US CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to give fair and equal treatment to ALL CITIZENS. I am filing a complaint on the Niles, MI US Post Office for alleged withholding of my mail and harassment when coming in to conduct mailings. Do your job with integrity.

Hello: I need some help due to I am partially disabled and am never sure when I am able to walk to my mailbox which is approximately 400 feet from my home. It is that time of year with the questionable weather soon approaching. Would it be possible for the mail person(s) to find it in his/her heart to close my mailbox on a daily basis? Presently closing the mailbox seems to be a mood thing. Granted, it is not the easiest to close and takes an extra push but it does close. The snowplows will be in use sooner than I wish and I also know if the door to the box is not closed it fills with snow and/or mud. I appreciate any consideration you can offer in this situation and I thank you. Regards, Sandra Erwin

Package was to be delivered today. I checked the tracking and it says a notice was left. I was home all day. No One came to the house. There was no notice in the mail box, front door, back door or garage. Not only is this the laziest delivery person that I have had the displeasure to require service from, but apparently leaving a notice was only in the persons head. This is not the first time the delivery person was to lazy to drive down the road and get out of the car to make the delivery. . In the future, I will not use USPS for any delivery to or from my home other than the mail which the delivery person gets mixed up frequently.
