Total joke, paid for postage ,got a tracking no., employee never printed out postage slip or applied it to Package. Item went thru system with no postage and was delivered to my residence with a bill for $7.85 due. The customer service was the most unprofession action I have ever experienced. Oh and USPS employees are paid between $30,000 -$72,000 annually.

I live in Upper Marlboro Rosaryville community. We get our neighbors mail and sometimes mail from neighbors on other streets. Last week I did not receive a package that had a tracking number. I tracked package to point where tracking stayed package was delivered. I was home, package was not delivered. I filed a complaint and made numerous attempts to reach a resolution with employees at the post office. My package was delivered 3days later.....not sure where it was delivered the first time. Yesterday 12/26/18 my neighbors mail was delivered in our mail box. The excuse I got when I contacted the post office was “Mr Bob our previous carrier retired hence the mishaps with mail delivery” we are approaching W-2 and tax return delivery season, can the postal service find a solution!! Retrain the carrier and provide a number for the community to call when mail is delivered to the wrong address that way they can pinpoint and retrain the mail carrier.

Postmaster, as the editor of the Brookwood Community Newsletter which is emailed to over 1150 homes I have been receiving dozens of complaints about late or no mail delivery. I am working closely with the Rosaryville Citizens & Community Association regarding these complaints. Today (7 Dec 2018) I emailed the following Newsletter to this community: “Dear Neighbors, Once again I am asking you to let me know how your mail service has been recently. I have received several reported instances of no mail delivery in the Brookwood neighborhood. Are you using the Informed Delivery Daily Digest from ? If so, is it working for you? What time do you generally receive mail delivery? What problems are you experiencing? Please let me know” Thus far I have received a dozen replies from my neighbors. Who may we contact to address these issues. We are familiar with “rain, snow, sleet, nor ice ….” But darkness?? This community deserves an answer.

This location's drivers are terrible. Various times a week we get the wrong mail, our mail is given to our neighbors, they choose to NOT stop and deliver or pick up mail. I have watched postal workers speed past our mailbox when the flag is up. Also, they do not always deliver packages to the doorstep, will leave in the ditch, or ask you to go get your package when they know they delivered it to the wrong address. Drivers will also waste 10-15 minutes sitting in their truck at the mailbox. This location needs a serious overhaul of it's drivers.

I am in Croom/Upper Marlboro. Our place is off the road. The mail carrier refuses to bring packages to our house even though UPS and Fedex always do. She left a computer out in the rain although it didn't matter because it was never found. I spent 1-1/2 hours in the post office trying to get help only to be told to contact the sender. I asked them to please put packages on my porch rather than the SIDE of the ROAD but they left my protein drink mix on the side of the road to be stolen/taken/whatever. I am wondering how many people are having this type of problem with this branch. It would seem to me they have no proof they ever delivered any of these packages. They can say they did and there seems to be no recourse. The postmaster doesn't seem to care one bit.

For the past 36 years we have had an excellent mail carrier who has been kind and concerned about how he does his job. We now have a new mail carrier that is the least bit concerned or considerate of residents. She speeds by so fast that my mailbox is LEFT OPEN DAILY. I have placed notes in the mailbox kindly asking that the mailbox is CLOSED after mail has been delivered. But it is still left open daily. When a package that is small enough to fit in the mailbox is placed there, it is exposed to everyone who drives or walks by. On rainy days, the mailbox is left open and I receive SOAKING WET mail. It is obviously that this job is only a paycheck for the carrier because if she took a moment to ask herself “Would I like my mail exposed and wet?” what would her response be? What ever happened to Do unto others as you would have them do unto you? Even if you disagree with the Bible scripture, it is your duty to CLOSE the mailbox after delivering the mail. If that is too difficult for you to do then perhaps it’s time to consider another job. I know I am not asking too much for the mail carrier to CLOSE THE MAILBOX after delivering the mail. There are other residents on my street and adjacent streets who are experiencing the same issue with their mailboxes being left opened. What needs to be done to resolve such a simple issue like CLOSING THE MAILBOX after you have delivered the mail???????

While the staff working the counters at this location are very good, the route carrier lacks attention and commitment to delivering the mail. Any excuse--even misrepresentation--is used to not deliver the package. Today, even though it has snowed, the streets are clear and the mail was delivered to addresses on this street. However, my mail for this day had a package that would require the person get out of the truck. Instead, I get an email from Amazon stating that there was an attempt to deliver and I would need to follow-up. There was NO ATTEMPT to deliver that package! This isn't the first time this has occurred. This is compounded by my attempt to have it brought back to my address as it was some thing I needed, and I was faced with a supervisor/manager that should never have been promoted to that role. She was indignant, rude, and expressed a level of ignorance that should not be in the public space. I'm making it a top priority to complain all the way up to the US Postmaster General--not because the package was so vital, but because of the manner in which the situation was handled.
