Why must my packages be left out in the rain when the driveway gates are wide open?????

Today 10/20/22 I received a message saying my package was delivered. Looked everywhere mailbox, front porch etc. Called Folsom Post Office. Man who delivered the package was smart ass about it. He left the package in the grass next to an old trailer my daughter owns. My wife and daughter bought work for the Post Office. If a package doesn't fit in mail box it has to be put on the porch of the house. Folsom Post Office is the worst.
