hi i live in Lewiston MAINE, my address is 26 HORTON street Lewiston ME 04240, I was sent a package from France, but the person made a mistake with the zip code, could you send me the package by post in Lewiston ME, I will bear the costs.
At 4:25 pm today, I was informed my package was undeliverable due to not being able to access my mailbox or driveway. I was home at this time and my security camera did not pick up anyone trying to deliver anything. My driveway and mailbox were clear and I can prove this with video footage. If your drivers don't want to deliver my package due to other reasons that is fine but don't blame the customer. This make me very upset
At approximately 9:30am Sunday, 7.2.2023 morning mail route on Boston and Libby St. Going south on Boston Street traveling about 40 MPH, On a residential street with Children!!!
This is way to high a rate of speed and should not be allowed by the USPS…😡😡😡
I am so disappointed in your postal employees. I sent a package from Boise and was guaranteed 2 day delivery. It was to the college and contained birthday and Easter gifts. It did not make it to the college and when we tried to pick it up at the post office on a Saturday they said it is sitting on a truck and we can’t receive it till Monday . That is horrible service. If you’re going to guarantee delivery it should be delivered or at least be able to be picked up .
I am having other people come to my door with my mail. Can’t half of these dummies read the addresses on the mail they are delivering?
Is the post office so hard up for illiterate people to deliver mail?
I tried numerous times to call Lewiston post office and all I get is ringing and it hangs itself up. Oh, and THEN I do get some human on the line, and lo and behold…… they hang up on you. Why doesn’t the post master do something about this? It’s not only inconvenient for myself, but to the people who do have to deliver back to me. Talk about “going postal!”
Good evening,
On 2nd Ave N in Lewiston, ID 83501 the mailboxes are all on one side and it makes it very difficult for those of us who live on the other side of the street. The street is partially paved and there is no drainage so every single time is snows or floods, it becomes a hazard to even walk across the flooded, frozen or slushy street just to struggle to open the mailbox. Please reconsider having mailboxes placed in front of every residences homes on 2nd Ave N in Lewiston, ID 83501, thank you.
Horrible. Doesn't do any good to complain.
Have lived in large cities and small towns all over the U.S. and Never, Ever, run into the problems I have had at the Lewiston P.Office. For some reason, after I discontinued my service at a UPS store on Bryden (I didn't know they didn't forward mail, you have to contact any bus and person yourself). BUT after contacting the Lew Post office in writing, in person, over the phone, with my mail carrier, they still will not send my mail in my name to me. It has hurt my credit etc. What can I do? I have contacted USPO C.S. and they don't help and don't care... Can't sue. Who cares... Can't use places like UPS stores unless I want to pay a large yearly fee for a p.o. box and then again, have to contact each and every business and each and every person who might send me mail. I am trapped. Just pray that I can use more email and other shipping services.
I want to give a "shout out" for my mail person and her positive attitude no matter how many packages she delivers to my address in the Lewiston Orchards. (Last year we were blessed with a granddaughter, and I went a tad bit overboard purchasing items for her on line!). Our mail person delivers with a smile and a kind word. Thank you!!!!!
My postal carrier regularly skips my house when delivering mail. I will get it days later marked that the box was blocked, which is never the case. I make a point of keeping it clear so I get my mail!!. Yesterday he asked me to move my mail box closer to the road because he has to get out to deliver. He was fairly rude. I have never had a problem with previous carriers.
Another reason I love MY post office, but not THE post office. I sent a package to Guam from lewiston, ID 5 days ago, I went on the USPS app and entered my tracking number. Said it was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago, yesterday I called the 1-800 number and the lady said it would be delivered in 3 or 4 days and hung up. I called again today, after meeting the 5 day wait period (was sent priority) and was given a case number and told they would call Monday. The man then hung up. I then called my local post office and he was able to tell me exactly where it was, why the status hadn't been updated, and gave me a rough estimate of when it would be delivered. Everyone always complains about USPS (with good reason), my local post office, in contrast, has aways been friendly and helpful. My mailman even brings my dog treats from time-to-time.
