I think that the workers have forgotten what customer service is ?!?!? I called today to check on a package and the lady that answered the phone clearly did not want to go and look for my package....she just said it is not here....this post office is taking advantage of the people they serve. I am not sure if you think they are doing a good job but it seems as if the community are sick of them...seems like a lot of money wasted, per hour, on employees who are only going thru the motions....they could care less if we get our mail or not

Our mail lady has ruined two mailboxes this year. How many times will this be allowed to happen before SHE has to replace it instead of me? The first one she ripped the door off with her mail truck.. this time she broke the flag off and left it set on the ground. I don't appreciate it. Let alone her speed..

Wanting to know why we haven't been called about our post office box key and why we haven't been getting our mail. We've been to the post office there and should be getting a call from someone about getting our key. Its been 2 weeks. There shouldn't be any holds on our mail. I work at home all day, so they can leave mail on front door step or ring door bell, and I will answer the door. Angela & Steve Waters Madi White 2504 6th Ave SW Altoona, IA 50009

We mailed our absentee ballots from my house on E29th ct. Watched mailman take them Well from there to auditor something or someone stopped the process. My friend voted Biden hers made it of course Ours did not. Someone there is committing a crime by tampering with these ballots Needs investigated now not later.

How about answering your phone! I've called 5 times this morning, 8/10/20, with no answer. After so long, approximately 2 minutes ringing, it simply disconnects.

The same has happened to me today three time also. Every once in a while I get ahold of a post office employee on the phone and they are nice and honestly try to help me, but as an organization, they are seriously being out preformed by their competition.

The pleasant hill post office is the worst I ever seen I ordered a packet back in April I got the email that it was delivered but nothing was in my mail box went to the post office and I was told to call the company and tell them that I never received it then just today I got a email saying my packet was delivered and once again it was not there I’m not going to call a company and tell them it was not delivered when Clearly the mail person can’t read and keep putting my packets in the wrong mail box and the pleasant hill post office is no help at all I’m just losing money and they don’t care

Today three packages were delivered to my home. The problem was that the largest one did not belong to us. Our address is 1924 E 27th St, the address the largest package was to be delivered to was 1924 E 29th St. This happens so frequently that we are on a first name basis with the Roach family. I am tired of doing the post offices deliveries for them and I know that Dev Roach's family is tired of this as well. If your delivery people cannot read addresses or names, then they shouldn't be be working for you. I continually complain & nothing changes. Perhaps an email to the Postmaster would help? I'm going to collect these complaints in hopes of getting the person(s) responsible terminated. This is ridiculous!!!!!!!

I wish something would happen, I've waited almost 4 months for 3 packages to come. I live on E.27th St. So I wonder who received them?? The mailman? I'm starting to wonder.

Been waiting on a package that was supposed to be delivered Thursday. Almost 5 days ago. The tracking says multiple times that it was received IN DES MOINES on Thursday. Now the post office tells me that the package is still in Detroit? So 5 days past and the package is just now in Detroit when the tracking says it was in Des Moines. I call to locate my package and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and talked to me like I was stupid and didn't have the tracking sitting right here in front of me. Not happy with your deliveries or customer service. You're garbage.

We've moved into a new townhouse development and the slab has been poured for the mailbox units. The post office has been notified (some time ago) and yet, we still have to stop at the Pleasant Hill Post office daily to pick up our mail that should be delivered to Altoona. We've communicated with several people at the PH post office about this, and no results. Now that winter is coming and it will be too cold to post the mail boxes in the concrete, we'll have to stop and get our mail (out of the way) at the post office several miles from our home.

Question: If I have a package that doesn't fit in the mailbox, I have a week and a half to pick it up. If I have an address mistake and check "tracking" they return my property immediately instead of allowing me the same amount of time to pick the package up. I now lose my property cause I'm not paying for shipping again. Said package wouldn't fit in mailbox anyway.

If it does not fit in the mailbox usually the carrier will leave the package at your door.Unless, it requires a signature, than a peach colored note card sized form will be left at your door (if no one answers) that will inform you to pick up the package at your local post office, then a follow up peach form will be left in your mailbox notifying you to either pick it up by a certain time or it will be sent back.Of course a multitude of factors can also exist: apartments, retirement homes, parcel lockers, secured buildings/neighborhoods, wrong address (street, number, name, city, state, or zip code), etc.If the address is wrong someone else may get your package, you may still get your package, or it may be returned to sender. If the address is wrong one of two people is to blame: You the receiver or the sender.Always make sure when you are having something sent to you that the sender has the correct information, double check, have them repeat back to you/check confirmation e-mails.
