My mother tried sending a card with a $200.00 money order as a gift for my son's wedding, but it never made its way here in Washington State. According to my mother, she purchased the money order, and filled out the card right there and there at the post office in Tamuning. When she was getting ready to approach the counter, one particular female (local) employee EAGERLY offered to take the card from my mother’s hand, put the stamp on it, and mail it for her. My mother found this person’s action a bit peculiar, but she did not think much of it because she had sent Christmas/birthday cards and money orders to my kids before, even when we were stationed in Europe. She's gone back and filed a complaint about this incident, and that card with money order seem to just disappeared in thin air. Currently, my mom is still waiting for her $200.00 reimbursement...
