We had great service, up until Pappy (a contractor, NOT a civil servant) took over our route. He complained about driving all the way up the driveway to deliver packages that didn't fit in the already oversized mailbox. Then he complained there wasn't a safe turnaround. so, after moving the mailbox, purchasing a larger box, and spending a few hundred filling in a few rain divots in the driveway, I am back on mail hold WITHOUT NOTICE. Next we'll meet with the Postmaster to discuss his lack of customer service skills, and lack of concern for everyones safety, forcing us to put the mailbox out on Highway 53. He already nearly killed my UPS delivery person backing out into traffic on Hwy 53. I don't know what the hiring criteria is for contractor postal carrier, but I think it should include basic driving skills. Based on reading some of the reviews here, I see we are not the only unhappy customers of what used to be a noble occupation. It's sad really, nobody has any work ethic anymore.
The mail carrier does not come by our house regularly. Will not pick up mail in the box when red flag is up. I spoke with him today, he told me he was the boss. Lied to my face.
Our mail delivery employee for Marble Hill does not deliver or pick up our mail every day during those delivery days. I find my mail and packages arriving late and recently have now had to drive my mail(bills etc) to a post office. My next door neighbor is having these same concerns. I thought our tax dollars paid for this reliable sevice!?
