I was notified that a $200 electronic part I had ordered was "delivered, placed in or near the mailbox"
The part would not fit in the mailbox so I believe the carrier set it on the ground next to the mailbox because they were too lazy to take it up the driveway to the house.
The package was NOT anywhere to be found. I assume some one stole it before I could get to it.
USPS is NOT my shipper of choice because of episodes like this!
So over this post office. Not only does my mail get delivered to the wrong address regularly, and of course I get stacks of my neighbors mail, I had 2 very important packages that were suppose to be picked up today and the mailman didn't even come to my porch to get them. Then I get a message saying I had an invalid number of packages set out for pick up. Lies. Not to mention the damaged clothes I received from them shoving large old navy bags in my mail box and ripping it on the screws inside. I couldn't even get the last one out without cutting the bag open. They are just too lazy to walk down my driveway. Had I known the mail was so bad here I likely would have bought a house elsewhere. Get it together !
Postmaster: Maybe you can tell me what’s going on with my mail. As you may know, I have been approved for to-the-door delivery. I was told you were aware of it. After several attempts, I was informed that it required a doctor’s certificate. I got one. Then one of your people said it had to be notarized, so I did that and submitted it. Next, they said I had to have a mail box. The apartment complex said it had to be mounted on the door, not the wall. After some expense, it is there, yet I still can’t get mail in a timely manner. The last time mail was delivered was November 5, 2019. In addition, there has been an outgoing letter clipped to the box since November 6th. Without mail service I can’t pay some of my bills on time and that is costing money in dunning fees and goodwill with my creditors. I recently read that one of the missions of the Postal Service was to help people. Please help me because I can no longer help myself.

Portia is great she is always so friendly and always has a smile on her face when coming into our establishment. She makes sure our packages are brought inside for our tenants. However when she is off and Melinda is the driver its all crazy. She stuffs the box full envelopes get ripped etc.. shell throw the boxes all around the mailbox or sometimes if she has too many she wont even deliver them. Portia always and i mean always brings in packages and mail. Our tenants have a right to get their mail and something needs to be done about melinda not wantingto bring in the packages and just passes us by. Its crazy!
You can't rely on the postal service anymore. Today was the second time I was supposed to have a package delivered and it wasn't! I check the tracking online and it says my package was attempted to be delivered and a notice was left. We've been home ALL day and no one knocked or attempted to deliver my package. There is NO NOTICE left anywhere at my house. So now this birthday present won't arrive on time. Thanks crappy USPS! I will be filing a complaint against our carrier.
What has happened to our United States Postal Service ???
I've experienced the same situation with packages. I'll get a notice on the door saying attempted delivery and I have been at home the entire time without any knock at the door !!! I'm chasing down a package right now that I was told on two different days that it would be redelivered . Surprise surprise… NO DELIVERY!!!
Where in the world is my package!?
So... waiting for a package. Sitting in my living room, 12 feet from the front door doing some work. I see that tracking shows delivery was attempted 15 minutes ago and a notice was left. No. No attempt. No notice. The mail service is positively horrendous here. For what its worth, i'd prefer that everyone I deal with use FedEx or UPS from now on. Your service is unreliable. It's a shame and you should be ashamed. Just deliver the damned mail.
Had to chase down my mail carrier in her mail truck because she passed by our mailbox the 2nd day in a row. She said she couldn't get to our mailbox, which was not blocked. (Our house is located on a culdasack.) She said "I'm not supposed to get out of my truck. I replied, " It's called a steering wheel!"
