I was supposed to get a small package today that would have fit in my mailbox, but I watched as the mailman drove right passed my house and stopped at my neighbors. I looked my delivery information up and it states the USPS could not delivery because there wasn't a secure place to leave package. NOT TRUE. It would have fit in the mailbox or my front porch. The driver also left a package in my neighbors box that stuck half way out of the box in the pouring rain. This is unacceptable and very bad service.
I have contacted the post master four times regarding this issue. Three by phone and once in person. It’s still not resolved!
The issue is that the mailboxes for our street are all down at the end of the road For some unknown reason, we have a carrier who decides that she is too lazy to drive up to our porch and deliver packages. She literally just tosses them out of her truck and onto the ground. It does not matter if it’s raining, snowing, sleeting or just hot. She returned a package to Amazon stating it was “too heavy”. So I never got it! Luckily, our neighbors look out for one another and we grab each other’s packages and keep them safe until we arrive home. Just yesterday, I had two packages laying in the mud in the POURING rain. They are both ruined! What is wrong with her????? The last time I called, I was told by the boss man that “he needed me to call the very day it happens so he can know who it was”. So you’re telling me that you can’t go back and know who drove what route?? That’s a little sketchy to me. He has stated that the post master or he himself would call me back and that of course has NEVER happened. So maybe putting this out there on the web will have you understand how serious it is. My stuff is getting ruined in the rain and returned because she can’t lift it. Her actions, as well as the boss’s actions are inexcusable. Please call me and let me know that you’ve at least addresses the issue.
