never received my mail today. what is going on?

It is now 4:00 PM on Saturday and my Newspaper from You Sun (Venice Gondolier) has not bee delivered. WHY ???????????

is this United States Postal Office Closed at 350 W. Venice Avenue Venice Florida 34285?

Our new postman is HORRIBLE. Southland Road in Venice, FL. He speeds through a residential neighborhood, misdelivers packages routinely and is simply the crappiest mailman I have ever seen. No way to get any satisfaction though, the USPS could care less about doing a good job. I have personally delivered packages twice to the same address that he mistakenly (or negligently) put in my mailbox. This idiot needs to be FIRED! But do you think that will happen? Of course not. He’ll be promoted.

We Never receive our Mail!!!!!! Need to put in claim after claim..Called the PO but of course NO ONE answers....so nice to be government employee and not have to actully do anything. Our government hard a work to serve us! Why do they list a phone number when they never pick up?

Mail person never delivered yesterday. Watched the truck go by on a cross road. It never came to my house with the mailbox flag up. Neighbors was up too. Two checks were mailed to me Dec 10 and Dec 17. Jan 4 now and still haven’t received them. Not get much other mail either. What’s going on?

Have the worst mail person in the US I have not received any mail in the last five deliveries. WHY They leave a notice they have on hold. WHY I never ask for it. Your phone numbers no picks up. WHY I will be at the post office in the morning,at 9:00am. Who pays the late charges on my BILLS? Your services have a lt to be desired.

We visited your po in October and requested a key for 1711 Lake Place, Villa Nova Shores. WE were told we would receive a call when the key was ready and we could come pick it up. I haven't heard from anyone regarding this request. I am moving to 1711 in January and will need a key to my mailbox by then. I am having my mail forwarded from New York to Florida in January. This post office sucks.

Trying to check to see if my mail is confirmed “on hold” from 7-2 to 8-3-21. I’ve called several times at different times of day. No answers. I had turned in yellow card. But double checking because a couple time it didn’t happen. Stephen &/or Christine Howell 391 Marsh Creek Rd. Venice 34292

The employees at the Venice Post Office are efficient and helpful. I had an unusual request and employee “Dave” was understanding and accommodating . A well coordinated office! Thank you .

Why was a package containing RX delivered to my Venice address on May 6 that had a change of address card that was for April 11 ? The tracking #9400 1116 9900 0248 00 The RX had to be thrown out because it had been in the heat too long. A neighbor found the package on May 9 and notified me about it , and I had him destroy it after I called the pharmacy to get instructions of what to do.

I live in the Renaissance Community or also known as Wellen Park. A large number of residents are not receiving our mail and parcels. The parcels are put in the wrong box and the give the wrong key. Many of us have contacted the mailer and they are told that the mail and/or parcel has been delivered. The carrier comes very late after 4:30 PM, and why isn't the carriers supervisor aware of the situation. If the mail arrives so late why, isn't help provided? The next step will be for all the residents to get together and contact the Postmaster General, Consumer Advocate and the Postal Inspectors to look into this problem.

This is just incompetent service.I guess I need to come there since you answering a phone is just too much trouble.What a poorly run organization!!!Its just one problem after another dealing with you people!!!

The worst mail person can’t read and gives out the wrong mail also I have a package locked in the numbered box but the key won’t work left the carrier as note but didn’t read it now I have to wait till Saturday to get my package

Twice, my postal carrier in Venice, FL put my packages at the end of my driveway by the road behind my car. This is unacceptable. I want my packages delivered to my front porch. Please remedy this situation. 34293.

I was looking for employment. Went to the North Port and called the Venice locations and recently filled out the application on line. Looking for help and direction.

I have "Informed Delivery" for my p.o. box mail in Venice. Informed Delivery sends you a copy of daily mail you are to find in your p.o.box. I have had missing financial statements from bank, and a stimulus debit card that never were in my p.o. box. So the problem must be with the local p.o. staff -- not the sender of these mail pieces. Do the employees have "sticky" fingers?

Being pleasant and having compassion for people goes a long way. For years, postal employees' working conditions, benefits, hours, and rights on the job have been eroded. I've seen mail carriers working after dark and on Sundays. You can never know what someone else is going through.

I wish to put a hold on the delivery of my mail for a few days.

Mail delivery is horrible.

Great Post Office.. However, being at a Cancer Center in Tampa I tried to call the hold mail dept to ask if our son or neighbors can pick up our mail, but the phone wait was 1 hour! I tried other nearby PO’s but no one answers the phone. A bit disappointed.

Many year round residents avoid this place like the plague and either go to the Laurel or Osprey USPS locations. The Venice PO is normally dirty and dingy looking and the people who work there are truly in need of supervision. Been this way for a long time now, obviously some new management is needed to get things right.

Worst service in any areas of country in which i lived. Mail carrier comes in regular car; rap music blaring, won't say hello, etc. They use bad contractors- for complaints, go to your local congressman. My mail is not delivered until after 4 pm on Saturday. I was expecting a package and it was put in one of the boxes. However, the key does NOT work. I am unable to contact anyone at the post office because they close at 2 on Saturday. My package contains makeup which I am sure will be melted by the time I am able to reach someone on Monday.

Unable to give you a good review. I live in Gulf View Estates, Venice and receive very erratic delivery service. Recently I did not receive mail for five concecutive days. When I inquired about this I was told I just did not get any mail on those days. This is not true because I have been charged late fees amounting pproximately $40 because I was not in receipt of the bills and therefore did not pay on time. We are also tired of receiving other people's mail and having to deliver it ourselves. We are tired of doing your job. Perhaps you should hire people with good work ethics that do their jobs. Maybe they should be able to understand English. Very dissatisfied customer. You do not deserve a raise in pay or postage rates.

Just spoke with Diana in downtown P.O. by phone. She did not listen to my question and was very rude. Carriers have been polite and helpful over the 25 years we have been living here.

I want to participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive but would prefer to write a check rather than load my carrier down with heavy groceries. Per directions on the national web site, I called my local PO as well as toll free number to ask the Food Drive Coordinator the receiving agency's name, address and tax ID for the check but get no answer at either number after many attempts. My zip is 34293. Please provide me with this information. Thank you.

I've found the men working have been helpful and polite, yet the women have been rude and very stiff towards customers. Not a pleasant atmosphere considering they are paid by their customers.

All of the workers at Venice Island Post office have always been great to me. Handling a long queue quickly. And very helpful! Been using them for 3 years.

I'd have to agree with Dana - the customer service via the phone was also lacking...

I visited the Venice Post Office(in town) this morning, I have never seen such rude customer service anywhere. i will be looking for alternatives.
