This post office has to be in the running for the worst in the nation. There are always long lines, the employees move very slow, they are rude, and it is quite obvious customers are more of an annoyance than a welcomed presence.
Our Milford, DE Post office has gotten so bad, judging from people’s comments on NextDoor. One of my mail containing a check was delivered yesterday to the wrong address, envelope and content soaking wet.
I keep getting visual photos of the mail that is supposed to be being delivered that day. I'm not getting anything but junk mail. If someone could explain this to me, I would really appreciate it.
I have not received my mail in last 2 weeks, I’ve been calling no luck I know with COVID 19 going on I won’t be aloud in lobby to talk to y’all but what is going on with my mail why haven’t I been able to get my mail since Saturday of last week
I have been scammed and lied to by overpaid incompetent workers of the MIlford Post Office for the last time. I called because I have put in change of addresses for 12 for people that lived at my house with me. So that stopped my mail but continued to deliver the people on the address change. I was told by Peg that she is the postmaster, which is an lie according to this page. She told me that the mail person just started on my route 3 weeks ago, but it changed to 3 month later in the conversation. Again another lie. I have been receiving mail for 12 other people that no longer live at my address and three are dead. I have told the post office numerous times about this. In the last 5 months I have told the post office that are 4 people at the house to receive mail, gave names and list it on the mail box, I still do not receive correct mail. This is a prime example of why the postal system is not working and needs to be unfunded.
The customer service at the Milford office is ridiculous. The woman I spoke to, Kim, was not only disrespectful, but very short spoken and basically seemed that she wanted to do the opposite of helping me. I actually ended up calling a second time a couple minutes later because of lack of information given in the first phone call. Which, by the way, during the first call, I misunderstood a question that she asked me and when I answered differently than she expected (of course because I misheard her), she snapped back and paused between each word repeating her question as if I was stupid.. Disappointed, but not surprised. Way to go, Milford!
The costumer service at this office is awful. I met with an employee about a missing package she said she would call me back and did not. I had to go in the next day and she would not even come speak to me. She never apologized for not calling me like she said she would. The story she told me about why I did not receive my package did not add up. I also receive packages and mail that does not belong to me on a regular basis so I can only imagine who is getting my mail.
I am writing to express my disappointment in your service. Last Thursday I came to the Post Office to fill out a change of address card and was told by the person at the counter that I should submit my address change on line. 'It would be faster and easier and quicker' she said. Why it would be 'easier' since I was already at the Post Office card-in-hand wasn't explained; but I trusted her.I went on line to the USPS web site where I was told there would be a $1.05 charge to 'verify' the address. Nowhere was I informed that I would be charged $40 for this free service until I received the receipt the following day (that was after they had submitted the charge) and noted it on my bank statement. It was then that I was informed that this was a private company using the name and logo of the post office and that I would be charged $40 for what should have been a free service.I am sure that I am not the first to be hoodwinked by this scam and that Post Office staff are aware of this deceptive service. I am very upset that the post office staff directed me, without any warning, to use this service. Please go to USPS.com --USPS® Address Change™ - Official USPS® Form--- ?and check for your self using my email address and the following 'password'. 6587S{FptEEVrOB I know you have no control over what third party scammers do but you, , but please don't tell me that there is nothing you can do. You must know that this predatory service is out there, your staff should not be promoting it. I trusted you and feel that you directed me to a con without any warning. If you can't stop the crooks from imitating your service, perhaps you shouldn't be offering it yourself, or at least not directing me away from the Post Office counter and encouraging me toward this con. Shame on you, Tim Slack
