Do yourself a favor and get a PO box at Avon or or Vail. The staff here is certifiably insane.

The old lady that works the post office in minturn is a mean and unruly grump. Not helpful whatsoever, belittling, rude, and unhelpful. She expects customers to know everything about packaging, shipping, and labeling. This post office is never open on time either.

I recently order a pkg for my 85 year-old mother & had it shipped to her. The order was to be sent UPS so her physical address was required, not allowing a p.o. box. It went to the post office as a ups surepost delivery. The address did not have the p.o. box # on it and was returned to the sender. Would it really have killed the postmaster to deliver the pkg to my mother's box? She has lived there 85 years! Is it really so hard for post office employees to actually be kind enough to do an extra little service for residents? It was probably harder for the postmaster to send it back to sender than to just put it in my mother's box. (And don't tell me it is against policy! I am not asking about policy, just about giving a little more!) I can't believe it! The Post Office is not much of a service provider anymore. I am so disappointed in the service in Minturn. A little kindness goes a long way.
