I am not too happy with the substitute mailman I have. I had my driveway redone and while they were still working on smoothing it out at the bottom he walk across the top of the driveway and now I have his footprints on my driveway. Tried calling for over an hour and no response at all. Very unhappy about this.

Our old mailman, Sean, was an absolute pro; he took on another route. Since then, our business mail delivery has gone to crap. I get customer payments late because my mail is delivered to the wrong buildings, wrong addresses, etc. Hell, I get other mail misdelivered to me and I wind up walking it over to other businesses nearby. I guess I am now a USPS contractor. Today was the final straw: I was supposed to receive a package from a vendor that has mailed me packages before via UPS countless times with no problem. Sent this one via USPS last week and tracking showed it was supposed to be delivered today, it even showed it was out for delivery. The mailman shows up, didn't even bother to pick up my mail, and goes to leave. I ask him "do you have my package"? He looks for a few seconds and says no. I told him tracking info shows it's out for delivery and he just shrugs. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited the rest of the afternoon but it didn't get delivered by another USPS employee. Later this evening, I checked tracking and see it's been sent back because the "addressee moved and left no forwarding address". What? Checked with vendor and the address is fine, like always. Dollars to donuts the mailman found it and sent it back so he wouldn't have to do his job. Now I have to call the vendor and have it sent all over again. For god's sake, people: do your job. I'd be out of business in no time if I didn't do my job but that doesn't apply to government work. Now I'll see if I actually get a response to this review: I'm not holding my breath and, based on other reviews here, I guess I am going to have to go in and complain in person since phones go unanswered at the Howes St. post office. Must be nice to have a guaranteed job that rewards incompetence.

Call in and phone just rings until someone disconnects call. Phone stays off hook for 5 minutes. Repeat the process. Why do they not answer the phone? Terrible service. Example of why having a union (APWU) creates a lazy, poorly run workforce. No thought that providing poor service to your customers could result in loss of your job.

Impossible to call and ask a question. Possibly the lines are put on hold every morning at every post office??

This is the WORST post office ever. The mailman is absolutely petrified of dogs and will put your mail on hold if he even sees your dog. Then, call to ask about it and you get hung up on. Unbelievable.
